Abstract

 Teacher activity, student activities, student learning outcomes in the learning process is still low. This is evident from the way teachers teach is still conventional. Learning by using the conventional method is the traditional learning model or collectively, the lecture method, in which the activity is dominated by the teacher in the classroom. Students in the learning process involved only a small part in the learning process, the rest is a lot more to do other activities outside of the learning process. Civics students thought that the lessons are boring lessons. so that eventually students prefer to joke with friends, talking with friends, there are sleepy, sleep, and some of there own are daydreaming. Besides, there are also students who did not aim to school with the intention of studying, but just for fun. Student learning outcomes are still under KKM.  This study aims to enhance the activity of learning and civic learning outcomes through the implementation of cooperative learning model GI type. Model GI type of cooperative learning is cooperative learning model that combines the principles of cooperative learning with constructivism-based teaching and training students as well as independent and responsible to develop student creativity. The research was conducted in two cycles. each cycle has a procedure that consists of planning, implementation, and observation, and reflection. The instrument used was a teacher and student observation sheets, and written test.The results of learning by using a model of cooperative learning on the GI type Civics subjects showed an increase in the activity of learning and civic learning outcomes is as follows: (l) the activity of teachers increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2 is from 84% to 97%, (2) learning activities of students increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2 in the amount of 72% to 90%, (3) thoroughness of student learning outcomes increased from cycle 1 with the percentage of 71% to 82%.

Abstract

Air liur berfungsi untuk melindungi jaringan di rongga mulut dengan pembersihan mekanis untuk mengurangi akumulasi plak. Fungsi ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh perubahan yang terkait dengan volume dan viskositas saliva. Teh hijau (Camellia sinensis) adalah jenis tanaman yang telah terbukti menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Asidogenik dan pembentukan plak gigi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berkumur dengan ekstrak teh hijau terhadap volume dan viskositas saliva pada pasien gingivitis. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experimental) dengan desain pre test dan post test. Populasi yang diambil yaitu pasien radang gusi di RSGM Baiturrahmah dari Desember 2017 hingga Januari 2018 dengan sampel 10 orang. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah paired sample t-test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara volume dan viskositas saliva sebelum dan sesudah berkumur dengan ekstrak teh hijau pada pasien gingivitis (p 0,05). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak teh hijau dapat meningkatkan volume saliva dan dapat menurunkan viskositas saliva gingivitis.
