Abstract

The development of information and telecommunication (IT) industries is very fast in the world, and haves been effected by Indonesian software industry development. The Indonesian software industrial market shares a more growth every year. The growth market demands a readiness of human resource development (HRD). Then, a human resources strategic planning must be needed. Therefore, the human resources strategic planning are hoped to improve human resources development skill, thus software industries have a competitive, advantage not only in local but also in global. Area the result indicates that the strategy conducted to develop human resource in industrial industries are facilities supply and incentive by government in facilities, policy and regulation.

Abstract

PT KSP is a fibrous food product manufacturing companies "Nata De Coco”. Most common problems that arise are shortages or overstocking of products. The purpose of this study is to propose the implementation of Manufacturing Resource Planning system (MRP II). Data is obtained by using forecasting, aggregate planning, capacity requirements planning resources (Resource Requirement Planning), master production scheduling (MPS), MPS validation (Rough Cut Capacity Planning), and Bill of Material to Material Requirement Planning (MPR). Forecasting data are taken from best forecasting results with Linear Regression forecasting method. Aggregate planning is conducted after forecast with least cost analysis, namely the chase method which can be continuously used to MRP. Best forecasting results with the smallest error will be taken from the forecast of the next 3 periods for base calculation of materials. This study concluded that the company can apply MRP II, to ensure steady flow of production and in the process also better in meeting consumer demand.

Abstract

Traffic Light Signals play important roles to control intersection. Now the biggest problem of traffic light signals are timing parameter and phasing are not suitable with volume and characteristic of arrival and caused overload queue in node or internodes. Webster already developed queue models for optimum determining traffic light time, so waiting time can be minimized. This research used Webster’s queue modeling. The results shows that with changing phase movement, waiting time decrease until 25,59 %.
