Abstract

Kopi Arabika yang berada di Kabupaten Jember ini diharapkan dapat menjadi kopi arabika specialty ketinggian sedang dan berbasis kawasan karena hanya bisa ditanam di ketinggian lebih dari 700 dpl. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif sedangkan penentuan daerah penelitian secara purposive method. Tujuan utama dari pelatihan pengolahan primer dan pengolahan sekunder yang diberikan kepada petani adalah untuk memberikan nilai tambah (added value) kepada komoditas kopi terutama kopi arabika ketinggian sedang di Kabupaten Jember.Berdasarkan hasil uji testcup, final score kopi arabika ketinggian sedang dari Lembaga Masyarakat Desa Hutan Taman Putri Desa Kemiri Kecamatan Panti adalah sebesar 60.50. Hasil dari uji testcup kopi arabika di Desa Karangpring Kecamatan Sukorambi Kabupaten Jember adalah sebesar 78.50.Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kopi arabika di Kabupaten Jember sangat berpotensi untuk mendapatkan kualitas specialty asalkan memenuhi persyaratan bahan baku dan diolah secara basah dengan SOP dari Puslitkoka. Berdasarkan kegiatan monitoring dan evaluasi bahwa kegiatan penelitian dengan menggunakan PRA (Participatory Research Appraisal)dalam pengembangan kopi arabika specialty ketinggian sedang berbasis kawasan di Kabupaten Jember memerlukan upaya yang terus-menerus dengan melibatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat desa hutan yang benar-benar-benar ingin melakukan perubahan dalam menjawab kebutuhan utamanya untuk meningkatkan pendapatannya serta dukungan dari berbagai pihak yang secara sinergis untuk mendukung aktifitas dalam melakukan pengolahan primer maupun pengolahan sekunder.

Abstract

Desa Mayangan sudah lama membudidayakan semangka akan tetapi masih terjadi kendala diantaranya tingkat produktivitas yang masih rendah, kapasitas produksi yang menurun, kondisi iklim dan cuaca yang tidak menentu.  Tingkat produktivitas yang rendah dapat berhubungan dengan penggunaan faktor produksi serta tingkat efisien petani dalam menggunakan input yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi tingkat produksi, (2) efisiensi teknis usahatani semangka, (3) faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi inefisiensi teknis usahatani semangka di Desa Mayangan Kecamatan Gumukmas Kabupaten Jember. Metode dalam penelitian menggunakan data deskriptif dan analitis dengan pengambilan contoh dilakukan dengan cara Proportionate stratified random sampling, sehingga terpilih 50 sampel petani semangka berdasarkan tingkatan luas lahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi semangka di Desa Mayangan adalah luas lahan (X1), tenaga kerja (X2), pupuk organik (X3), pupuk kimia (X4), dan bibit (X5), sedangkan pestisida cair (X6) dan pestisida padat (X7) tidak berpengaruh nyata. (2) Tingkat efisiensi teknis petani semangka secara keseluruhan dalam penggunaan faktor produksi semangka di Desa Mayangan dengan rata-rata sebesar 0,68. (3) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi inefisiensi teknis secara parsial dalam usahatani semangka di Desa Mayangan adalah pengalaman petani (tahun) dan dummy keikutsertaan kelompok tani.

Abstract

The sugarcane supply chain needs to be efficient and highly coordinated to ensure quality and quantity. Contract farming is an instrument used to achieve efficiency and high coordination of the sugarcane supply chain. The efficiency of contract farming depends on how the contract's arrangement satisfies the requirements and characteristics of each party involved. This study aimed to analyze the arrangement and farmer's satisfaction toward the implementation of contract farming. This study was conducted at PG Wonolangan in Probolinggo, East Java, on March, April, and September 2018. The samples used in this study consisted of 100 sugarcane contract farmers in PG Wonolangan and seven employees of PG Wonolangan. Descriptive and rank Spearman correlation analyses were employed to analyze the arrangement and farmer's satisfaction toward contract farming. The results of this study showed that there was a change in the contractual arrangement between PG and farmers. Currently, the role of PG changed from acting as farm credit and inputs supplier into a market guarantor for farmers; the changes reduced the risk and capital requirements of PG. In general, farmers were satisfied with the implementation of contract farming. The farmers' satisfaction increased as farm extension, scheduled planting and harvesting times, and the quickest harvest and transport management. However, they have concerns regarding farm inputs provision and profit-sharing mechanism.Keywords: Sugarcane agribusiness, correlation analysis, supply chainAbstrakKEPUASAN PETANI TERHADAP POLA DAN KINERJA KEMITRAAN USAHATANI TEBU DI PABRIK GULA WONOLANGAN, PROBOLINGGO, JAWA TIMURRantai pasok agribisnis tebu perlu efisiensi dan keeratan koordinasi yang tinggi untuk menjaga kualitas dan kuantitas gula yang dihasilkan. Kemitraan adalah salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan koordinasi rantai pasok agribisnis tebu. Efisiensi kemitraan tergantung pada bagaimana pola kemitraan tersebut bisa memuaskan kebutuhan dan karakteristik pihak yang bermitra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola kemitraan usahatani tebu dan kepuasan petani terhadap kinerja kemitraan. Penelitian dilakukan pada Pabrik Gula (PG) Wonolongan di Kabupaten Probolinggo, Jawa Timur, pada bulan Maret, April, dan September 2018. Responden terdiri dari 100 petani mitra PG Wonolangan dan 7 pegawai PG Wonolangan. Analisis deskriptif dan korelasi rank spearman digunakan untuk menjelaskan pola kemitraan dan kepuasan petani terhadap kemitraan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perubahan pola kemitraan antara PG dengan petani. PG berubah peran dari yang sebelumnya sebagai pemberi kredit dan input usahatani menjadi penjamin pasar, perubahan ini menurunkan risiko usaha PG serta modal awal yang harus dikeluarkan PG. Secara umum, petani mitra merasa puas dengan kemitraan yang dijalankan PG Wonolangan. Faktor yang memperkuat kepuasan petani adalah adanya bimbingan teknis dari PG, teraturnya jadwal tanam dan panen, serta cepatnya proses tebang dan angkut. Akan tetapi fasilitas saprodi, sistem bagi hasil dan penentuan rendemen dengan sistem hamparan merupakan faktor yang menjadi perhatian petani.Kata kunci : Agribisnis tebu, analisis korelasi, rantai pasok.

Abstract

Soybean is one of the important food commodity’s after rice which has a strategic position in the overall national food policy because its role is critical in Indonesia food menu resident. Needs of the community and soybean processing industry tend to increased from year to year has not been matched by theavailability of sufficient soy because soy production in the domestic remains low. The constraints of national soybean production increased many faces, one of which is the low productivity of soybean. The low productivity because most farmers do not use quality seed varieties and crop management techniques arestill not optimal. One of the main program the Ministry of Agriculture relating to technological innovation as an effort to increase production of food cropsincluding soybeans is PTT (Integrated Crop Management) approach and is done through SLPTT (Integrated Crop Management Field School). However, theimplementation is still faced many obstacles, mainly in terms of farming techniques that lead to the production and productivity of soybean at the farm level is relatively low so the income of farmers is also low. The objective of this study was to analyze how far the Integrated Crop Management Field School (SLPTT) Program can increase farmers income. The farmer population under study is divided into two, namely the participant farmers of SLPTT Program and farmers are not participants of SLPTT Program. By using the Unit Output Price Cobb-Douglas’s profit function obtained conclusion that SLPTT Program can increase farmers income. The factors that affect negatively and significantly to the income are the price of seed,the price of fertilizer, the prices of pesticides and the wage of labor, while the factor that affect positively and significantly to the income is land size. Soybean farm of SLPTT farmers are more efficient economically than non SLPTT soybean farmers.

Abstract

The aim of this study was 1) to determine the productivity and income level at medium height of Arabica specialty in Jember District; 2) to know the prospects and specialty Arabica coffee development strategy at medium height in Jember District. The research method use descriptive and analytical methods while determining the research area was purposive. Determination of the sample was simple random sampling and determination of the sample was purposive sampling by conducting in-depth interviews. The results showed that: 1) Productivity arabica coffee specialty at medium height in Jember is 1892.12 kg/ha, 2) The income of coffee farmers is Rp. 6,606,366.14 per ha, 3) cultivation of specialty arabica coffee at medium height Jember district in the position of white areas and strategies that can be implemented is to undertake capacity building of the shareholder institutions that is Forest Village Community Organization who cultivated arabica coffee.

Abstract

Sirtanio Rural Agriculture Training Center (P4S) is an organic farming training institution in Banyuwangi. The technological innovations introduced by P4S are outlined in the form of Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) to make it easier for farmers to adopt organic farming systems. The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the level of application of GAP SOP on organic red rice farming farmers participating in Sirtanio P4S in Banyuwangi, (2) the factors that influence farmers decisions in the implementation of organic red rice farming GAP SOP for farmers participating in Sirtanio P4S in Banyuwangi, and (3) the correlation between the application of GAP SOP on organic rice farming of participant farmersin Sirtanio P4S in Banyuwangi towards organic red rice production. The determination of the study area uses the purposive method, namely in the Village Sumberarum District Songgon Banyuwangi Regency East Java, Indonesia. The research method uses descriptive and analytical methods. The sampling technique for this study is total sampling. The data retrieval uses interview, observation and document analysis methods. The results showed that (1) the level of application of organic farming in Songgon District as a whole was high (64,52%); (2) the factors that significantly influence the decision making of organic red rice farmers in adopting organic GAP SOP as recommended were age, income, and land ownership status; and (3) there was a significant relationship between the application of organic GAP SOP to rice production organic red in Sumberarum Village.

Abstract

Consumer decision making to buy purebred chicken meat in pure traditional markets is higher than SNI traditional markets which have advantages in cleanliness, facilities, and service. This study aimed to determine the characteristics of consumers and the determinants of consumer decision-making to buy chicken meat in pure and traditional SNI markets. The research method used was descriptive-analytic. The sample was 100 people with convenience sampling. Chi-square and Mann-Whitney tests were used to analyze consumer characteristics, and logistic regression to analyze consumer decision-making factors. The results showed that there was a relationship between the consumer's occupation and the decision to buy chicken meat, and there were differences in education and income between consumers in pure traditional markets and SNI traditional markets. Variables that significantly influence consumer decisions are the price of purebred chicken, location, number of family members, and education. For managers of traditional markets in Situbondo Regency, it is necessary to arrange shops, improve market facilities such as waiting rooms and maintain cleanliness so that they remain consumer choices.

Abstract

Mojomulyo village Subdistrict of Puger one of the contres of catfish cultivation in Jember regency. In this prosess of growing up the catfish, the woof is the largest cost at all the process. The result of producing catfish should be in mutual accord with the marketing efficiency because the price of selling would give the impact to the cultivators income. This study aims to the income of catfish cultivator, the factor influencing the income catfish, and marketing of catfish in Mojomulyo village Subdistrict Puger. The research method is descriptive , analytical, and corelational method. The method of collecting the data used Proporsional Cluster Ramdom Sampling and Snowball Sampling . The results showed (1) The income of this business catfish cultivation is profitable; (2) The factors that signifantly the income of catfish cultivators are the cost of seed, the cost of woof, total production, the price of selling, the cost of labor, the cost of vitamins and another supplement; (3) The are 3 channels of marketing catfish. Based on value of marketing efficiency, the marketing channel of catfish is efficient. The 1st channel is the most efficient channel to profit share that received the highest cultivator fo 84,38% and distribution margin value, the 1st channel showed value of profit share and cost share more proportional.

Abstract

This study aims to determine:(1) the level of inventories of cassava as raw materials to minimize the cost of inventory on cassava chips agro-industry in Bondowoso, (2) the level of re-ordering (reorder point) cassava chips and cassava in the agro-industry in Bondowoso, and (3) development strategy of cassava chips agro-industry in the Bondowoso regency. Area the study determined intentionally (purposive method) in the Bondowoso regency. The type of data used primary data and secondary data. Methods of data analysis using EOQ analysis, ROP, and SWOT. The results showed that: (1) the level of inventories cassava as raw materials in cassava chips agro-industry domestic scale and small scale uneconomical. EOQ on agro-scale cassava chips households amounted to 181.2 kg. EOQ on agro-industry small-scale cassava chips amounted to 279.4 kg, (2) Level of reordering cassava or Reorder Point (ROP) agro-industry domestic scale cassava chips is by 64 kg and the booking rate back raw materials or Reorder Point (ROP) on agro-industry small-scale cassava chips is equal to 320 kg. Scale agro-industries and small-scale household has a level reordering (ROP) is equal to the amount of the initial booking, each of which is 64 kg and 320 kg so it is said to have shortage of cassava as raw material, (3) agro-industry development strategy for cassava chips in the regency (strategy SO) as follows: (a) Cassava chips agro-industry domestic scale: Increase productivity and maintain existing markets, (b) Cassava chips agro-industry small scale: Maintaining existing markets, expand market reach and increase productivity.

Abstract

The productivity level of red chili in Wuluhan Sub-district in 2010 until 2015 has fluctuated. The level of productivity in red chili commodities in Wuluhan Sub-district is estimated to be influenced by several factors of production (fertilizer, pesticide, labor) and planting season. Some problems experienced by red chili farmers in Wuluhan Sub-district apart from productivity side of unstable but also from unstable selling price side. This research aims to determine (1) the influence of factors of production and planting season on productivity level of red chillies in Wuluhan Sub-district Jember District; (2) the efficiency of the price of the use of production factors at red chili farming in Wuluhan Sub-district, Jember District; (3) cost efficiency at red chili farming in Wuluhan Sub-district, Jember district. Location of research conducted by method of Purposive Method that is determination of research location done intentionally. Data collection methods used for primary data collection is the method of interview and questionnaire (questionnaire) while the data collection method used for secondary data collection is a documentation technique. The analytical tools used include: Cobb-Douglas production function, price efficiency and cost efficiency. The results showed that (1) production factors of pesticide, labor and planting season significantly affect productivity level; (2) The use of fertilizer, pesticide and labor production factor has not reached the price efficiency because the ratio between NPMxi and Pxi is more than one; (3) the use of cost is efficient, the business is run profitable and feasible to cultivate.
