One of the programs established by the government to face the threat is Healthy Lifestyle Community Movement (Gerakan Masyarakat Hidup Sehat or GERMAS). The declaration of the smoke-free area is one of the efforts of the Government on this movement aimed to have smoke-free homes to create a healthy city. The supporting informants in this study were the community declaring the program as well as the elite figures of the community involved in the declaration. The method of primary data collection was through in-depth interviews, observation, and review documentation. The implemented analysis technique was content analysis. Results: The inputs of the smoke-free area declaration program were measured from the human resources, fund, facilities, organization, information, and guidelines. Further, the process of the smoke-free area declaration was viewed from the community roles, community responses, and reports. However, there was a shortcoming of the process variable, i.e. the in-existence of written reports done by the head of the program. Furthermore, the output variables were observed from the commitments, impacts on society, and the comprehensiveness of the reports. Abstract

Abstract

The Yogyakarta City Government launched an innovation in health promotion at mosques, named the "healthy outside and inside"  in 2015. This program is a partnership with the mosque keeper to promote clean and healthy living habits. No studies have yet evaluated the extent of the success of the program. This study aims to see the effectiveness of the program in changing people's healthy behaviour. This type of research is an analytic survey with a cross-sectional study approach.  The research location is in the working area of the Umbulharjo Community Health Center. The population is 4608 families. The number of samples is 108 people who live around the mosque. The inclusion criteria is the housewives because they have a lot of time at home, so there are more opportunities to be exposed to Compact Disc (CD) in mosques than other people who work outside the home. The exclusion criteria were people who were unwilling and deaf. The sampling technique is a probability proportionate to size, namely by taking the sample referring to mosques that play CDs and those that do not play with 2 : 1 ratio. The control variables are age and level of education. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed by Mann Whitney-test. The results showed a difference in the community's mean knowledge and attitudes around the mosque playing  (69.44) and not playing the health promotion CD (60.14). The Mann Whitney-test results obtained a p-value of 0.00, which means there is an effect of CD health promotion playing on the level of public knowledge about PHBS. The playing CD  health promotion at mosques in Umbulharjo District, Yogyakarta, has benefited from increasing housewives' knowledge about healthy and clean behaviour.

There were significant relations between knowledge about nutrition and food security and breakfast habits. There were no significant relations between the amount of pocket money, peers with students' behaviour to the selection of snacks in the State Junior High School in Sleman, Special Region Yogyakarta. It is recommended for schools to strengthen their school health institutions through increasing the role of student cadres and counseling about nutrition and food safety in the provision of healthy canteens. Include content about nutrition and the consequences of consuming unsafe food, placing posters on healthy and unhealthy food in the school canteen. Schools are also advised to provide socialization to parents and students about the importance of having breakfast and bringing lunch from home.

Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has spread dramatically since March 2020. At the end of May 2020, the Indonesian government stated that Indonesia would soon enter a new phase facing COVID-19. This phase forced people to adopt new living norms to suppress the spread of COVID-19. This study attempted to analyze how the society in Indonesia adapted to new norms and their relation with perceived susceptibility, severity, benefits, and barriers experienced using the Health Belief Model theory.Method: This cross-sectional study voluntarily involved 948 participants across the island of Java through an online survey conducted between June 30 to July 9 2020, with Google Forms. The indicators measured in the study were: healthy living practices, changes in healthy behaviour, perceptions of susceptibility, severity, benefits, and barriers to the COVID-19 pandemic. Results: The study found that more than half of the respondents practised a healthy lifestyle during the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of them admitted that their health behaviour was better than before the pandemic. People with positive perceptions of the benefits and barriers to COVID-19 practiced a healthy lifestyle during the pandemic better (AOR = 1.72; 95% CI = 1.20-2.48 and AOR = 2.24; 95% CI = 1.60-3.14, respectively). People who had positive perceptions of susceptibility and severity about COVID-19 problems had a higher chance of improving previous preventive behaviour (AOR = 2.06; 95% CI = 1.37-3.09 and AOR = 1.79; 95% CI = 1.20-2.69, respectively). Thus, the conclusion was Indonesian people have positive practices and perceptions about the susceptibility and severity of COVID-19, which are useful for enforcing COVID-19 preventive behaviour.
