Abstract

This study is an experimental study, data collected by observation. Data processed by the Friedman test and Wilcoxon test. From the results of this research note there is a difference between Spin Echo T1 artifact lumbar MRI with pre saturation and Spin Echo T1 without pre-saturation. These results can be seen from the average value of the overall test Friedman test with p value less than 0.001 in axial cuts and sagittal cuts. Then the ratio of artifacts to see the value of the Wilcoxon test performed two variables, to determine the differences of each placement pre saturation. Values obtained in the setting of artifacts terkecul Anterior presaturasi in both sagittal and axial to pieces.

Abstract

X-ray cassette is a light-tight container to cover radiographic film during radiographic examination. Cassette can directly or indirectly contact with the patient’s body. It can be a spreading medium of bacteria from patient to patient, or patient to radiographer. The aims of this study are to determine the number of microorganisms contained in the cassette before and after cleaning, and to know the difference between those two numbers. The study is an observational study with cross-sectional approach. The survey was done to 17 cassettes to measure the number of bacteria using swap method. Then, the data were analyzed using Wilcoxon test. Result shows that the mean of bacteria, fungi, staphylococcus and ALT on cassettes before cleaning was larger than the mean after cleaning the cassette using 70 % alcohol. The Wilcoxon test in bacteria, fungi, staphylococcus and ALT showed ρ = 0.0001, 0.012, 0.0001 , 0.0001 less than 0.05 means that there was a significant difference in the content of bacteria, fungi, staphylococcus and ALT before and after cleaning the cassette using alcohol 70%. Based on these results the cassette should be cleaned regularly every morning to avoid the possible spread of bacteria.

Abstract

This type of research was an experiment, performe dat using 0.35 Tesla MRI Unit. Data obtained by performing an MRI examination of the 3 (three) patients with 9 (nine) parameter variations. Assessment is done by measuring the SNR image using software on the MRI Unit and assessment of the intensity of the arteries by making the questionnaire to 3 (three) observers to assess the degree of clarity of the anterior cerebral artery, middlecerebralartery, posterior cerebral artery, basilar artery, and vertebral artery. Then conducted an analysis of data obtained. The study states that the examinationis performed with the parameters TR 38 ms, TE 9.6 ms, and FA 30 ° has the highest SNR valuesand intensity values clarity more apparent than variations of arterie so ther parameters including routine parameters.

Abstract

Health Polytechnic Semarangimplemented quality assurance system in the management of continuing education in the hope of polytechnic universities able to become qualified, meets National Education Standards, define and realize its vision through the implementation of its mission and meet the needs of stakeholders to pursue even higher at World Class University. Onlyinstitutions thatgiveattention toquality andcustomer satisfactionthatcan surviveand winthe competition. The purposeof this studywas to determine thereadiness ofresources (human, material, methods andmanagement)andwhat the needs of Health PolytechnicSemarangleadingWorld ClassUniversity. This research is a descriptive research (quantitative), survey method approach to the study. Subjects were academic civitas of The Health PolytechnicSemarang in 2012 including educational staff (271 people), teaching staff (254 people) and students (1320 people) with a total sampling technique. The research instrument used was a questionnaire and a list of questions as well as secondary data. Results from the questionnaires, interviews and secondary data analyzed and evaluated by the frequency distribution. The results shows that the readiness of resources until the year 2012 is 45.83%, while the Health PolytechnicSemarang needs leading to WCU include preparation of the road map in short-term (2012 to 2016), medium (2017 to 2025) and long-term ( 2026 - 2040) and the preparation of the activities or programs to support the implementation of the road map for the short term. Required monitoring and evaluation of short-term road map.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out information differences in image between two techniques from MRI 0,3 . Hopefully, it will be useful for radiographers to produce high quality post contrast images. Samples of this research were 30 patients having MRI brain tumor examination then were set with 2 sequences (spin echo and fast spin echo). Result was analized by using questionnaire observed by 3 radiologist. Data were then analized with Mann-Whitney and description of images was given. Result indicated that There were statistically differences between spin echo and fast spin echo post contrast T1 weighting image. Result showed that there were differences in post contrast T1 weighting image quality between spin echo and fast spin echo sequence. Statistically, with mann whitney test the differences were significant, with p value 0,000 (p less than 0,5).

Abstract

This quantitative study was an experimental design. A total of 18 healthy male and female volunteers, with differnt BMI involved in the study by consecutive random sampling. An expert Radiologist evaluated all the 38 T2map images being studied. The arbitrary SI data were measured using one millimeter ROI of the machine measurement tools and the values of T2map were based on a fitted exponential decay calculation ?generated from the graphs developed by the Window excel. The mean differences amongst T2map values on the sagital plan femoro-tibial cartilage and coronal plan femoro-tibial (medial and lateral) were statistically tested using One-way Anova, and all the T2map images also graded by the radiologist following the OA the grading levels as published Internationally. In conclusion, an increased TE on the application of multi-spin echo sequence T2map, causing the calculated T2map values v? aried not only in the sagital area of t?he knee joint cartilage of the femoral and tibial but also in the coronal femoro-tibial (medial and lateral) for both the male and female healthy volunteer subjects, and different BMI category (under-weight, normal-weight, verweight). The values ?T2map within and between BMI group and among different gender showed statistically no difference (p-value more than 0.05). The averaged T2map and its  tandard deviations have been used to define t?he T2map biomarkers (baseline T? 2map values) in each BMJ group subjects and between gender for both of the knee joint sagital and coronal planes despite the 1.5T MRI modality is not facilitated to commercial qMRI supporting software.
