Abstract

Penelitian tindakan ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan prestasi, kegiatan dan respon dari siswa kelas 3 SMP 8 Jember terhadap ‘Tabung Volume’ dengan mengguna kan kelompok model investigasi dari Cooperative Learning. Data diperoleh dari 4 siswa dengan menggunakan kwesioner, tes, ceklis dan catatan lapangan dan dianalisis menggunakan Miles-Huberman yang terdiri dari reduksi, presentasi dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) model investigasi kelompok CL dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa; 2) ada 7 langkah model investigasi kelompok CL; 3) kerjasama dan respons siswa terhadap investigasi kelompok positif.This action research aims at describing the achievement, activity and response of the 3rd year students of SMP 8 Jember toward ‘Tabung Volume’ using group investigation model of Cooperative Learning. The data were obtained from 4 students using questionnaire, test, checklist and field notes and were analyzed employing Miles- Huberman analysis comprising data reduction, presentation and verification. The results show that 1) group investigation model of CL can increase students’ understanding; 2) there are 7 steps of group investigation model of CL; 3) students’ cooperation and response to Group Investigation are positive.

Abstract

Abstract.The aim of the study is to describe the implementation of role playing which decrease the students error, to describe the students activities in implementation of role playing method and to describe reduction of the students error in completing questions after the implementation of role playing method. The subject of the study is the students of VII A class at SMPN Sukowono. In addition, the research design that is used in this study is classroom action research. The data were collected by using observation, interview, achievement test and documentation. The percentage result of the student’s activity observation showed that 54.91% in the beginning learning activity and 71.23% in the end of student’s learning activity. Moreover, the percentage of teacher’s activity is 90% and 96.67%. Besides that, the percentage of the student’s error in completing questions showed that it decreased from 42, 43% to 29.14%. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the implementation of role playing method goes well, so it can help to decrease the student’s error in completing question of social arithmetic. Abstract

Abstract.The objectives of this action research are to know how the implementation of learning Quick on the Draw, the students activities in learning process, and the student’s outcomes after using the implementationof learning Quick on the Draw of Social Arithmetic at VII grade material. This implementation was conducted in two cycles, and each cycle was ending with a test. This research using Hopkins scheme model that consist of 4 phases include planning, action, observation and reflection. The object of this research was students of class VII F of SMP Negeri 10 Jember. The data collection methods of this research were observation, interview, test and documentation. In Cycle I, the research shows that student’s activities were 85,55% and the students learning outcome were 82,85%. In Cycle II the student’s activities were 91,42% and the students learning outcome were 97,14%. It conclude that this research can improve the student’s learning outcome. Abstract

Abstract.Polya Model is one of the problem solving model which consisting four phrases:understanding problem, devising plan, carrying out the plan, and looking back. The purpose of this research is to know the percentage of students’ problem solving ability on the subject of financial mathematics based on Polya model. The subject of the research is grade XI Accounting 1 and XI Marketing 1 SMKN 6 Jember. The data collection methodsused in this research are test, interview, and documentation.The result of the research showed that the percentages of students ability which is high, medium and low in problem solving on the subject of financial mathematics based on Polya model generally are 52,97%, 15,87% and 30,16%.It can be concluded that the ability of students’ problem solving based on Polya model is high enough on the subject of financial mathematics in SMKN 6 Jember. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktifitas dan hasil belajar perkalian bilangan 1-5 melalui pembelajaran kooperatif dengan permainan pilih jawaban bernuansa Gasing. Dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus, dalam setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II SDN Slateng 03 Ledokombo Jember tahun 2011-2012. Metode pengambilan data yang digunakan yaitu obsevasi, wawancara, dan tes. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif reflektif. Persentase aktivitas belajar  pada  siklus I adalah 59,88% (kategori sedang), dan meningkat pada siklus ke II yaitu 79,32%. Persentase hasil belajar matematika siswa  melaui pembelajaran kooperatif dengan permainan pilih jawaban bernuansa Gasing ada perkalian bilangan 1-5 mengalami peningkatan. Pada siklus I persentasenya 70,37%, dan pada siklus ke II 88,89%, jadi meningkat 18,52%. Kata Kunci : pembelajaran kooperatif dengan permainan pilih jawaban bernuansa Gasing, PTK, Aktifitas, Hasil Belajar.

Abstract

Abstract.Inquiry is the learning model that emphasis oncritical thinkingand analyticalprocesstofind their ownanswers toaproblem,andSAVIis a combinationof physical movementand intellectualactivity. The aims of this research is to know implementation of inquiry learning model with SAVI approach to increase students mathematic outcome and student’s activity for the students of class IX. Type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) and the study design used was a model scheme Kemmis dan Taggartstudy research design were consists of 4 phases include planning, action, observation, and reflection. Thesubject of the research isIX C students of SMP Negeri 2 Jenggawah and material was chosen surface area and volume of curved space geometry. The data collection methods used in this research was observation, interview, test, and documentation.In the first cycle, completeness student’s activity is 77,05% and the student learning outcomes classically is 72,22%. And the second cycle, completeness the student’s activity is 86,57% and the student learning outcomes classically is 86,11%. So the increase of the both cycle classically above was 13,89%. The result shows that the completeness of student’s activity and result learning has increased well. Abstract.This research aims to know how the process and the result of developing mathematics learning materials based on NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics) of trigonometry topic at grade X senior high school. This study developessyllabus, lesson plan,worksheet, evaluation test, and Studentbook.The development mathematics learning materials standardized NCTM. This development model refers to 4-D Thiagarajan and Sammel & Samel models. This four steps are defining step, designing step, developing step, and disseminating step.The product of learning materials development standardized by NCTMfortrigonometry topic has fulfilled the validation criteria, practicability, and effectiveness. Abstract

Abstract.The use of ICT in Indonesianeducation especially in the field of mathematics is less optimal. It would require the development of materials that use e-learning to facilitate students in learning. The device was developed by a model of learning missourimathematics project (MMP). The developments of material methods are using the method of Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel. Based on the results of the expert appraisal, validity coefficient of lesson plans,worksheets,student books, THB and e-learning in a row is 0.94; 0.96; 0.90; 0.93 and 0.92 which means the device is already valid. Observations of teachers in managing the learning ability, the percentage of student activity, student questionnaire responses, student self-assessment questionnaires and tests learning outcomes showed that the device is practical and effective. Abstract

Abstract. In mathematics learning, the scoring method used was still dominated by one scoring method which only measure the students’ factual knowledge. Thus, the scoring method should be integrated in the teaching learning process, not merely on the result of learning it self. This research was conducted to improve the grade VIII-I student’s learning achievement and their active participation through the implication of Team Games Tournament (TGT) method of cooperative learning type with authentic assessment on the surface area of the prism and pyramid at SMPN 1 Jember in the 2012/2013 academic year. The research design was Classroom Action Research (CAR), and the data collecting method used was observation, test, interview, and documentation. From the actions implemented in each cycle, it was proved that the students’ score improved from 74,68% in Cycle 1, to 80,76% in Cycle 2. Thus, the average percentage of the second cycle was 76,32% and it fulfilled the research criteria, it showed that the implication of TGT can improve the students’ learning achievment and their active participation. Abstract

Abstract.Problem Based Instruction is kind of learning model which introducing students to a real and meaningful problems. The phases of PBI are (1) orientating the students to a problem, (2) organizing the students to learn, (3) guiding the individual or group research, (4) developing and presenting the result, (5) analyzing and evaluating problem solving process. This research aims to develop the set of learning, such as syllabus, lesson plan, student book, student worksheet, and evaluation test by using Thiagarajan Model which consist of four steps such as define, design,develop, and disseminate. But this research just use the three of them, without disseminate step. SMP Negeri 3 Jember is elected as the research place. The coefficient validities of syllabus, lesson plan, student book, student worksheet, and evaluation test respectively are 0,975; 0,982; 0,984; 0,980; and 0,992. Since all of those coefficient more than 0,6, so we can conclude that the set of learning is valid and proper to be used. The reliability coefficient of evaluation test is 0,612717. Besides, the each item validity of evaluation test also showed a high number. There are five item problems where the coefficient validities of each number are 0,819533; 0,98036; 0,958226; 0,894288; and 0,960059.
