Abstract

Insya' (mengarang, menulis karangan) mrupakan salah satu keterampilan berbahasa aktif yang perlu mndapat perhatian tersendiri, baik oleh tenaga pengajaran maupun oleh mahasiswa yang mempelajarinya. Keterampilan menulis ini dapat diorientasikan pada ekspresi fungsional (al-ta'bir al-wazhify) dan ekspresi kreatif (al- ta'bir al-ibada'iy). Yang pertama dimaksudkan sebagai ekspresi dan komunikasi dengan sesama dalam rangka mengorganisasikan dan memenuhi  kebutuhan hidup (seprti menulis surat, mengisi formulir, menulis laporan, makalah, dan sebagainya); sedangkan yang kedua dimaksudkan sebagai ekspresi perasaan, kegalauan jiwa, suasana batin, dan sebagainya yang dibahasakan dengan ungkapan-ungapan sastra yang indah.

Abstract

This study aims to clarify the role of the Arabic language in advancing science and Islamic civilization through a library study of the history of the Arab ic language a long the ages. The approach used to analyze the data of Arabic language development is hist orical approach combined with content analysis approach. The study has come to the conclusion that there are βive important roles of Arabic language. Firstly, it served as the language of the union among the people and the Arab tribes. Secondly, Arabic preserved the richness of local Arabic cultures through all times. Thirdly, Arabic used as a media for educational and scientiβic study, possitioning it as the language of science and technology. Fourthly, Arabic is as a tool of communication among the people and tribes and generations. Abstract

This research aims to analyse the implementation of method, media, and evaluation of speaking skill and reading skill learning in Arabic learning based on the theory verbal linguistic intelligence and interpersonal intelligence. The method of this research was mixed method with triangulation concuren strategy by collecting quantitative data and qualitative data. The finding indicate that the learning of speaking skill and reading skill in learning Arabic at  state Islamic Senior High School 2 and 4 Tanah Datar West Sumatera become very effective with applying the linguistic of theory verbal intelligence and interpersonal intellligence in good impact. Developed with that theory make test result Arabic subject the students are in the high category. The benefits of developing this theory in learning can also be concluded from the result of the questionnaire that have shared to students of states Islamic Senior High School 2 and 4 Tanah Datar West Sumatera. It was shown that maharat al-kalam and maharat al-qira’ah in the high category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that cause students not to know the Arabic letters, to know the factors that cause students not to be able to read Arabic with good and correct pronunciation and also to determine whether there is an influence of students' educational background on reading ability (Jahriyyah). This study uses a quantitative approach with survey method. Data was collected using a questionnaire, interviews, and direct tests. The collected data were analyzed using percentage descriptive technique and simple linear regression analysis. The population in this study were students of 7th class at MTs Arrosyid II and 36 people as samples. Based on the results of the questionnaire research data, it was found that differences in students' educational backgrounds showed that the percentage of 72.1% was in the strong category. And from the results of the simple linear regression equation that there is an effect of students' educational background on reading ability, seen from Y = 19.889 + 0.806x and Ftable (0.05) > Fcount (0.008) the researcher can analyze that this equation shows a positive effect of variable X on variable Y and the influence of the remaining 19.1% is influenced by other variables. The factors that cause students not to know Hijaiyah letters are that they have not learned Arabic at their school before. The factors that cause students to be unable to read fluently are that they do not dare to express Arabic, do not trust themselves and are not interested in expressing Arabic
