Abstract

The purpose of this research which is to describe the use of video learning to increase democratic attitude and understanding the material. The kind of research used in this research is research the act of a class action. A procedure done in this report is written with stages of planning, the act of, the implementation of the, observation , and reflection for a decision making in order to further development .The subject of study were students in the class IX public junior high schools 19 Bandar Lampung which totaled 32 students. The research results show that (1) the utilization of learning video can improve democratic attitude students. This is proven with an increase in from the cycle of to the cycle. Nevertheless, there are still five students who still have the attitude the category of democratic students were quite good and (2) the utilization of learning video can improve understanding matter students.Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan video pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan sikap demokratis dan pemahaman materi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research). Prosedur yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi untuk pengambilan keputusan guna pengembangan lebih lanjut. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa di Kelas IX SMP Negeri 19 Bandar Lampung Bandar Lampung yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) pemanfaatan video pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan sikap demokratis siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan dari siklus ke siklus. Meskipun demikian, masih ada lima siswa yang masih mempunyai sikap demokratis siswa kategori cukup baik dan (2) pemanfaatan video pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan pemahaman materi siswa.Kata kunci: pemahaman materi, sikap demokratis, video pembelajaran

Abstract

ABSTRACT Based on the observations that researchers have made to the Teachers at Batang Gasan Elementary School 14, it was found that the teacher's skills in implementing Active, Creative, Effective and Fun (PAKEM) learning were still low. The purpose of this study was to improve teacher skills in the application of PAKEM through training and guidance activities (LATBIM) in Batang Gasan Elementary School 14. This research is a school action research. The research procedure in this study includes planning, action, observation and reflection. This study consisted of two cycles with four meetings. The research subjects consisted of 6 Batang Gasan Elementary School Teachers. Research data was collected using observation sheets. Data is analyzed using percentages. The results showed that Training and Guidance Activities could improve Teacher Skills in the application of active, Creative, Effective and Fun (PAKEM) learning in Batang Gasan Elementary School 14. This is evidenced by an increase in the ability of teachers in the application of Active, Creative, Effective and Fun (PAKEM) learning from cycle I to cycle II. The average ability of teacher skills in the application of PAKEM learning in the first cycle was 49.66 in the Less category and in the second cycle was 82.33 in the good category.Keywords: Improving teacher skills, application of PAKEM learning, training and guidance (LATBIM).

Abstract

Model pembelajaran tipe STAD merupakan salah satu tipe dari model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan menggunakan kelompok-kelompok kecil dengan jumlah anggota tiap kelompok 4-5 orang siswa secara heterogen untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada SD Negeri 2 Percontohan Tijue Kabupaten Pidie, dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dalam belajar matematika melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 2 Percontohan Tijue tahun ajaran 2010/2011. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa prestasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sampai siklus III yaitu, siklus I (65,22%), siklus II (78,26%), siklus III (86,96%) dengan menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD mempunyai pengaruh positif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan aktifitas belajar siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari siklus I 70 %, siklus II 80 %, dan Siklus III meningkat menjadi 90%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar Siswa V, dan model pembelajaran tipe STAD dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif pembelajaran matematika.
