Abstract

This research examined the comparative study of learning outcome between students who were taught using cooperative learning model of Picture and Picture and Example Non Example based on the critical thinking of students at class VII of SMP Negeri 4 Gadingrejo. The method of the research was comparative with experimental approaches. The result of data analysis showed that (1) There is a difference on learning outcome of students who used Picture and Picture learning model than those who used Example Non Example. (2) Learning outcome of students who used Picture and Picture Learning Model was higher than those who used Example Non Example on the students who have high critical thinking. (3) Learning outcome of students who used Example Non Example is higher than using Picture and Picture on the students who have low critical thinking. (4) There is an interaction between learning models with the critical thinking of students to learning outcome in the subject of Integrated social studies.Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang perbandingan hasil belajar antara model Picture and Picture dan Example Non Example dengan memperhatikan berpikir kritis pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Gadingrejo. Metode yang digunakan adalah komparatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan (1) Ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model Picture and Picture dibandingkan menggunakan model Example Non Example. (2) Hasil belajar siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model Picture and Picture lebih tinggi dibandingkan menggunakan Example Non Example pada siswa yang memiliki berpikir kritis tinggi. (3) Hasil belajar siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model Example Non Example lebih tinggi dibandingkan menggunakan Picture and Picture pada siswa yang memiliki berpikir kritis rendah. (4) Ada interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan berpikir kritis siswa terhadap hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, berpikir kritis, picture and picture, example non example
