Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop a project-based pretest-posttest assessment of the use of coffee husks. This study used the research and development method of the ADDIE model until the development stage. At the analysis stage, a literature study and a preliminary study were conducted. At the design stage, planning and preparation of an initial draft in the form of a pretest-posttest assessment were carried out. In the development stage, two science education experts validated the suitability of the content and construction of the pretest-posttest assessment with Torrance's creative thinking skills indicator framework. The product of the validation results was then responded to the suitability of the content and construction aspects of creative thinking skills indicators by the three science teachers. The results of expert validation and teacher responses indicated that the pretest-posttest assessment instrument product is very suitable to be used to measure students' creative thinking skills in integrated learning based on coffee peel utilization projects.Keywords: pretest-posttest assessment, coffee peel utilization projects, creative thinking. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir kreatif menggunakan asesmen pretes-postes berbasis proyek pemanfaatan kulit kopi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan model ADDIE.Pada tahap analysis dilakukan studi literatur dan studi pendahuluan. Pada tahap desain, dilakukan perencanaan dan penyusunan draft awal dalam bentuk asesmen pretes-postes. Pada tahap develop, dua pakar pendidikan IPA memvalidasi kesesuaian isi dan konstruksi asesmen pretes-postes dengan kerangka indikator keterampilan berpikir kreatif Torrance. Pada tahap implementasi, asesmen diterapkan ke 31 siswa di SMP Al-Qur’an Miftahul Ulum Bukit Kemuning. Implementasi produk kemudian digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa,dan hasil menunjukkan bahwa produk instrumen asesmen pretes-postes sangat cocok digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam pembelajaran terpadu berbasis proyek pemanfaatan kulit kopi.Kata kunci: asesmen pretes-postes, proyek kulit kopi, berpikir kreatif.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i1.pp13-24

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop a performance assessment based on the cassava peel waste processing project. This research uses methods of research and development 4D models which are only carried out until the stage of develop. At the define stage, a literature study and a preliminary study are carried out. At the design stage, planning and preparation of the initial draft are carried out in the form of performance assessments. In the develop stage, two science education experts validated the suitability of the content and construction of the performance assessment instrument to Torrance’s framework of indicators creative thinking skills. The product of the validation results was then responded to the suitability of the content and construction aspects of the indicators of creative thinking skills by three science teachers. The results of expert validation and teacher responses indicate that the performance assessment instrument product is very suitable to be used to assess student performance in integrated science learning based on cassava peel waste treatment projects.Keywords: performance assessment, cassava peel waste project, creative thinking skills.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrument asesmen kinerja berbasis proyek pengolahan limbah kulit singkong. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan model 4D yang hanya dilakukan sampai tahap develop. Pada tahap define dilakukan studi literatur dan studi pendahuluan. Pada tahap desain, dilakukan perencanaan dan penyusunan draft awal dalam bentuk asesmen kinerja. Pada tahap develop, dua orang ahli Pendidikan IPA memvalidasi kesesuaian isi dan konstruksi instrumen asesmen kinerja terhadap indikator keterampilan berpikir kreatif Frame Work Torrance. Produk hasil validasi selanjutnya direspon aspek kesesuaian isi dan konstruksinya terhadap indikator keterampilan berpikir kreatif oleh tiga orang guru IPA. Abstract

The research objective was to evaluate the effectiveness of the interactive e-book on students critical thinking skills improvement in the subject matter of human digestion system. The research design wasquasi experiment with the matching-only pretest-posttest control group design. The study was conducted at two classes of 8th grade students at Al Kautsar Middle School, Bandar Lampung. Result showed that the interactive e-book was feasible to be used as learning material.This was indicated by responses of the teacher toward the product were 100% on the subject mattercompatibility, 84% on attractiveness, and 88% on language aspect. The e-book also gained high responses from the student namely90% on readability, 94% on attractiveness, and 90% on understandability.The n-gain value of experimental class (0.54) was significantly higher than that of control class (0.27). The effectiveness of learning using the interactive e-book was shown by the n-gain value of 0.54. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas e-book interaktif dalam menumbuhkembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia.Disain penelitian ini termasuk eksperimen semu (quasi experimental) dengan rancangan the matching-only pretest-posttest control group design. Subyek penelitian adalah dua kelas VIII di SMP Al Kautsar Bandar Lampung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-book interaktif yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar. Hal ini terlihat dari rata-rata respon guru terhadap produk adalah 100% untuk aspek kesesuain isi materi, 84% aspek kemenarikan, dan 88% aspek bahasa.E-book yang dikembangkan mendapat respon tinggi dari siswa yaitu sebesar 90% untuk aspek kemudahan, 94% aspek kemenarikan,dan 90% aspek keterpahaman.Nilai n-gain keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen (0,54) secara nyata lebih tinggi (Sig. 0,00) dibandingkan dengan nilai n-gain siswa kelas kontrol (0,27). Efektivitas pembelajaran menggunakan e-book interaktif ditunjukkan olehskor n-gain sebesar 0,54.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, e-book interaktif, sistem pencernaan manusia

Abstract

This research had been done to construction of the apparatus to determine solution freezing point depression with cooling system modified by using RD design. Based on design and product of the apparatus, the validator gave judgment to suitability of the content, educational value, tool endurance, accurancy of measurement and safety for student aspects with each of them were in suitable criteria, expect tool efficient for use aspect. All components of the apparatus have function properly based on functioning test to the 1st years student of chemical education department of lampung university and chemistry teachers responses in SMA N 8 Bandar Lampung. According to the results,it could be concluded that the constructed apparatus was suitable to use in learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat penentuan titik beku larutan dengan menggunakan desain RD (Research and Development). Hasil validasi desain, dan kelayakan terhadap alat menunjukkan bahwa aspek kesesuaian dengan bahan ajar, nilai pendidikan, ketahanan alat, ketepatan pengukuran, dan keamanan bagi siswa, memiliki kriteria sangat layak; kecuali pada aspek efisiensi penggunaan alat. Semua komponen alat memiliki fungsi yang baik berdasarkan hasil uji keberfungsian terhadap mahasiswa semester awal pendidikan kimia Universitas Lampung dan guru kimia SMAN 8 Bandar Lampung. Berdasarkan hasil, dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.Kata kunci: alat praktikum, modifikasi sistem pendingin, penurunan titik beku larutan, sifat koligatif larutan.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of students book of buffer solution based on chemical representation to improve students conceptual understanding. The matching only pretest and posttest control group design was used in this research. The population of this research were all students of grade XI Science Al-Kautsar Senior High School Bandar Lampung in academic year 2016/2017, and the samples were XI Science 3 as control class and XI Science 5 as experiment class which obtained by using purposive sampling technique. The instruments that used were syllabus and RPP for experiment class, and pretest posttest questions. Data analyzed by using t-test. The result showed that mean of n-gains category in experiment class was in high category and posttest score of students conceptual understanding in experiment class was higher than control class. The conclusion was the learning using students book based on chemical representation was effective to improve students conceptual understanding.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas buku siswa larutan penyangga berbasis representasi kimia dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. The matching only pretest and posttest control group design digunakan pada penelitian. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2016/2017, dan sampel dalam penelitian adalah kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas XI IPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah silabus dan RPP kelas eksperimen dan soal pretes postes. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kategori nilai rata-rata n-gain di kelas eksperimen tinggi dan nilai postes pemahaman konsep siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran menggunakan buku siswa berbasis representasi kimia efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa.Kata kunci : larutan penyangga, pemahaman konsep, buku siswa berbasis representasi kimia

Abstract

The aimed this study was to describe the increase of students’ skill in controlling variables and defining variables operationally on Learning Cycle three-phase (LC-3E). The model was applied pretest-posttest control group design. The participants included two clsses at the second year sains of SMA N 1 Way Jepara, Lampung Timur. The increase of students’ skill in controlling variables and defining variables operationally measured on the difference of a significant normalized gain (n-Gain). The results show that mean value of n-Gain controlling variables skill in control and experimental classes were 0.15 and 0.47, and the mean value of n-Gain defining variables operationally skill in control and experimental classes were 0.23 and 0 , 50. Based on hypothesis testing using t-test and n-Gain, it was concluded that the LC 3E learning model can increasing students’ skill in controlling variables and defining variable operationally.Kata kunci: Learning Cycle 3E, keterampilan mengendalikan variabel, dan mendefinisikan variabel secara operasional

Abstract

This research aimed to develop an animation media based on chemical representation about buffers solution; identify the characteristics of animation media developed; identify the responses of teachers and students towards the animation media which was developed; and identify the obstacles faced in developing an animation media. This research used Research and Development method. The results showed that teacher response of the developed animation media in the contents suitability aspect were 80,00%  with high criteria and in the readable and the attraction aspect were 83,84% with very high criteria. The results showed that students response of the developed animation media in the contents suitability aspect were 79,72%  with high criteria and in the readable aspect were 80,31% with very high criteria and the attraction aspect were 80,00% with very high criteria.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media animasi berbasis representasi kimia tentang larutan penyangga; mengidentifikasi karakteristik media animasi yang dikembangkan; mengidentifikasi tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap media animasi yang dikembangkan; dan mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi dalam mengembangkan animasi tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tanggapan guru terhadap media animasi yang dikembangkan pada aspek kesesuaian isi adalah 80,00%  dengan kriteria tinggi dan pada aspek keterbacaan dan kemenarikan desain sebesar 83,84% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Menurut tanggapan siswa pada aspek kesesuaian isi adalah 79,72% dengan kriteria tinggi, aspek keterbacaan sebesar 80,31% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi dan aspek kemenarikan sebesar 80,00 dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Abstract

This research which using Research and Development method was conducted with the aim to develop the performance assessment instrument on the concentration effect on reaction rate experiment and to describe the characteristics and chemistry teacher response to the developed product. Developed performance assessment instrument has characteristics: assess important aspects on the concentration effect on reaction rate experiment, allows the teacher to implement it in schools, allows the teacher to assess students performance, either individually or in groups, cost-effective and easy scoring. Teachers gave a very good response to the legibility, construction and implementation product aspect of an performance assessment instrument which the percentage of them were 88.14%; 90.67% and 84.44%, respectively. Based on it, the performance assessment instrument on the concentration effect on reaction rate experiment was categorized in very good.Penelitian dengan menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan ini telah dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen asesmen kinerja pada praktikum pengaruh konsentrasi terhadap laju reaksi, mendeskripsikan karakteristik dan respon guru kimia terhadap produk hasil pengembangan. Instrumen asesmen kinerja yang dikembangkan memiliki karakteristik: menilai aspek penting dalam praktikum pengaruh konsentrasi terhadap laju reaksi, memungkinkan bagi guru untuk menerapkannya di sekolah, memungkinkan guru untuk melakukan penilaian terhadap peserta didik, baik secara individu maupun kelompok, hemat biaya dan pengolahan skornya mudah. Guru telah memberikan tanggapan dengan sangat baik terhadap aspek keterbacaan, konstruksi dan penerapan produk, dengan persentase dari masing-masing aspek secara berturut-turut adalah 88,14 %; 90,67 % dan 84,44 % yang menunjukan bahwa instrumen asesmen kinerja pada praktikum pengaruh konsentrasi terhadap laju reaksi dikategorikan sangat baik.Kata kunci: asesmen kinerja, pengaruh konsentrasi, laju reaksi

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach to enhance students science process skills and students scientific attitudes on mixtures separation topic. The method used was quasi experiment by using the matching only pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this reasearch was all of seventh grader students of SMPN 22 Bandarlampung 2016-2017 with class VIIB and VIID as sample. Samples was done by purposive sampling technique. The effectiveness of scientific approach was determined by the enhancement of n-gain value of students science process skills which were tested statistically by using t-test and the enhancement of scientific attitudes. The results showed that implementation of scientific approach was effective to enhance students science process skills and scientific attitudes in the learning of mixtures separation topic.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan saintifik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan sikap ilmiah siswa pada materi pemisahan campuran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain the matching only pretest-postest control group design. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness pollution by tofu liquid waste problem-based learning model to improve students’ critical thinking skills. The method used was quasi experiment with the matching only pretest-posttest control group design. The Samples of this research were XI MIA 8 as experiment and XI MIA 5 as control class, that obtained by purposive sampling technique. Data analysis techniques used parametric statistic with t-test and n-gain calculation. The results showed that the posttest average value in the experiment class (73.33) was higher than the posttest average value in the control class (55.2) and the average n-gain of experiment class in medium category.
