Abstract

This study aims to describe the feasibility of Students’ Worksheet using inquiry-based to train High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) on the Reaction Rate Material. The research method used is the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), but in this study it only reaches the stage Develop. Furthermore, a limited trial was carried out on 12 students of class XI at SMAN 1 Krian. The research instrument consisted of a review sheet, a validation sheet, a response questionnaire, a test sheet for learning outcomes in the domain of knowledge and a HOTS pretets-posttest question sheet. The feasibility of Students’ Worksheet is reviewed based on 3 criteria, as the validity of the validation results by the validator, the practicality of the students' responses and the effectiveness of the learning outcomes test in the realm of knowledge and the HOTS pretest-posttest results. Data analysis using quantitative descriptive method. The results obtained showed the percentage of Students’ Worksheet validity for content, language, practicality and effectiveness criteria of 86.2%, 87.8%, 88.4% and 91.3% with very valid categories. The developed Students’ Worksheet received a very positive response with a percentage of 92.2% and was stated to be very practive. The results of the increase in HOTS of students are described by the acquisition of an n-gain score of 0.71 in the high category. Each HOTS component includes analyzing (C4) of 82.5%, evaluating (C5) of 81% and creating (C6) of 91.3% in the high category and declared effective.

Abstract

Abstract: Implementation of Guided Inquiry Learning Model Based Blended Learning to Train Creative Thinking Skill of Eleventh Grade Students in the Factors that Affect of Chemical Equilibrium. This study aims to improve students' creative thinking skill in the factor that effect of chemical equilibrium using student learning outcomes towards the implementation of learning model as an online learning solution, to know the implementation, student activities and to know student responses toward learning model. Collect the data methods used questionnaires, observation, and test methods. The results implementation of learning gets a percentage of 90% which is categorized as very good. Student activities when given a learning model to practice creative thinking skills get 24.4% in the Fluency, 26.9% in the Flexibility and 12.7% of the student activity time was used to practice Elaboration. Student creative thinking skill uses the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design, the results obtained by students increase from the comparison of the pretest and posttest, and the results tested in gain score with an average result is ≥ 0.7 or high category. Students give a positive response of 95.3% to the guided inquiry learning model based on blended learning on the factors that affect chemical equilibrium. Keywords: Blended Learning, Guided Inquiry, Creative Thinking Skill, Chemical Equilibrium.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes and students’ science process skills by implementation PBL (Problem Based Learning) model with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) based on chemical equilibrium topic. The method in this research is quantitative descriptive with One-Group Pretest-Postest design. The subjects of this study were students of Mathematics and Natural Sciences XI graders in State Senior High School 1 Pulung,  Ponorogo Regency. Data method is; observation, questionnaires, and tests. Technical data analysis used is; analysis of study results data, analysis of observations of learning implementation, analysis of student activities, analysis of learning outcomes completeness, and analysis of student responses. The results in this study were: (1) the mean percentage of the implementation of PBL model based on STEM  in the chemical equilibrium topic was 89.26%; (2) the category of improvement for all indicators of Science Process Skills observing and conclusion that respectively 0.82 and 0.89 are included in the high category, for the skills to formulate problems, formulate hypotheses, determine variables, and analyze data respectively of 0.64 ; 0.42; 0.67; 0.68 and can be categorized as moderate; (3) the learning outcomes of students in the realm of knowledge have increased classically with n-gain of 0.62 in the moderate category; and the last (4) learning by implementation the STEM-based PBL  model on chemical equilibrium material received a positive response from students based on the results of the questionnaire, the percentage was 83%.
