<![CDATA[This study attempted to describe how the social competence of non linear teachers in the process of communication in the neighborhood of junior high school students in Kecamatan Gunung Alip Kabupaten Tanggamus 2015.The method used in this research was descriptive method with quantitative approach. Basic technique of data collection in this research used questionaires. The population in this research were the non linear teachers of SMP in Kecamatan Gunung Alip Kabupaten Tanggamus with the total of 20 teachers .The results of the study showed that social competence analysis of the non linear teachers in the process of communication in the students neighborhood on the indicators of communication skills is 40 % of respondents said sometimes, indicators of sympathetic is 50 % of respondents said sometimes, indicators of social interaction ability through technology are 45% respondents to said sometimes and in the social interaction is by 60 % said often.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana Kompetensi Sosial Guru Non Linier Dalam Proses Komunikasi di Lingkungan Siswa SMP Se-Kecamatan Gunung Alip Kabupaten Tanggamus Tahun 2015.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pokok pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode angket. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh guru non linier yang ada di SMP Se-Kecamatan Gunung Alip Kabupaten Tanggamus berjumlah 20 guru.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa analisis kompetensi sosial guru non linier dalam proses komunikasi di lingkungan siswa pada indikator kemampuan berkomunikasi 40% responden menyatakakan kadang-kadang, indikator bersikap simpatik dengan 50% menyatakan kadang-kadang, indikator kemampuan berinteraksi sosial melalui teknologi sebanyak 45% reponden menyatakan kadang-kadang dan pada kategori menciptakan hubungan sosial yang baik dengan 60% menyatakan sering.Kata kunci: kompetensi guru non linier, lingkungan siswa, proses komunikasi]]>
