<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to describe and explain the perception of the head of senior high school or state vocational school in Bandar Lampung City towards transfer of middle school management. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a quantitative approach and data collection techniques using quistionnaires. The population in this research was 26 respondents and used saturated sampling so that the sample was the entire population which was the head of Senior High School or State Vocational School in Bandar Lampung City. The results pf the research showed that the perception of the head of Senior High School or State Vocational School in Bandar Lampung City was positive. The principal considers that the application of Law Number 23 Year 2014 concerning Regional Goverment is that middle school management by the Provincial Government can actually improve the quality of education.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan persepsi Kepala SMA/SMK Negeri di Kota Bandar Lampung terhadap pengalihan pengelolaan sekolah menengah berdasarkan UU Nomor 23 Tahun 2014. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 26 responden dan menggunakan sampling jenuh sehingga sampelnya adalah seluruh populasi yang merupakan kepala SMA/SMK Negeri di Kota Bandar Lampung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi Kepala SMA/SMK Negeri terhadap Pengalihan Pengelolaan Sekolah Menengah di Kota Bandar Lampung adalah cenderung positif. Kepala sekolah menilai bahwa penerapan UU Nomor 23 Tahun 2014 tentang Pemerintah Daerah bahwa manajemen pengelolaan sekolah menengah di kelola oleh Pemerintah Provinsi justru dapat meningkatkan mutu pendidikan.Kata Kunci: manajemen sekolah menengah, kepala sekolah.]]>
