Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to know the effectiveness of the Cooperative Learning model of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) type in the material Matriks in class XI of SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. As for this research in terms from three aspects, among others: The teacher's  Implementation managing learning, students activities, and completeness of learning students outcomes. The research method used was the experimental method, with a pre-experimental design. The research sample is students in class XI MIPA 3. Based on data analysis that reviewed three aspects, the results were (1) the implementation of learning management was categorized well with an average score of 3.53. (2) The activities of students are classified as active, namely 73,68%. (3) The learning outcomes of students in a classical manner are 27 students or 79,41% who achieve minimal completeness. The conclusion of this research was that  of the Cooperative Learning model of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) type is effective to be applied to in the material Matriks in class XI SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. Keywords: Cooperative learning model, Matriks, NHT type

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to know the effect of problem based learning model LKPD assisted on student’s problem solving ability in SPLTV matter. Research method used is comparative form of pseudo-experiment with posttest only, non-equivalent control group design. There are two sample class, experiment class with 27 students and control class with 30 students. Based on Independent Sample T Test result obtained significant value 3,35 which shows the difference between student’s problem solving ability taught by problem based learning model and conventional learning. Based on the indicator obtained that student taught by problem based learning model have higher problem solving abilitythan student taught by conventional learning. The effect size value is 0,86 and categorized high. The conclusion is there is better influence on student’s problem solving ability taught by problem based learning model in SPLTV matter at school. Keyword:  Problem Based Learning, LKPD, Problem Solving Ability

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal materi operasi hitung pada bentuk aljabar di MTs Negeri 1 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk studi kasus.Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 6 orang siswa kelas VIII F. Darianalisis data diketahui kesulitan dan faktor penyebab kesulitan yang dialami siswa.Kesulitan tersebut meliputi kesulitan mengidentifikasi koefisien, kesulitan mengidentifikasi variabel, kesulitan mengidentifikasi suku sejenis, kesulitan melakukan operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan pada suku yang bernilai negatif, kesulitan menentukan hasil operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan suku tak sejenis, kesulitan menentukan hasil pengurangan suku satu dengan suku dua, dan kesulitan melakukan sifat distributif perkalian pada penjumlahan.Faktor penyebab diantaranya tidak memahami konsep variabel, tidak memahami konsep suku sejenis, dantidak mampu menerapkan konsep penjumlahan dan pengurangan pada bilangan bulat.   Kata kunci : Kesulitan Siswa, Faktor Penyebab     Abstract: This research aims to find out students’ difficulties in solving arithmetic operations of algebra expression St MTs 1 Pontianak. This research used descriptive method with case study research form. The subject of this research were 6 students of class VIII F. The data was analyzed to find out students’ difficulties and the causative factors. The difficulties included the difficulty in identifying coefficient, difficulty in identifying variable, difficulty in identifying similar tribes, difficulty in performing addition and subtraction operations of negative tribes, difficulty in determining the result of addition and subtraction operation of distinct tribes, difficulty in determining the result of subtraction between single tribes and double tribes, and also difficulty in performing distributive properties of multiplication over addition operation. The causative factors were the inability in understanding the concept of variable, inability in understanding the concept of similar tribes, and inability in applying the concept of addition and subtraction of integers.    Key words : Students’ Difficulties, Causative Factors

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan kesulitan belajar yang dialami siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal bilangan berpangkat dan mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab siswa mengalami kesulitan belajar dalam menyelesaikan soal bilangan berpangkat. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 3 Pontianak dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 36 siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes uraian dan wawancara. Tes uraian digunakan untuk menganalisis kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal. Wawancara digunakan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan belajar siswa. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis data kualitatif. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan yang banyak dialami siswa adalah kesulitan pada tahap konsep, prinsip, dan operasi hitung. Kesulitan konsep yang dialami siswa sebanyak 41%. Misalnya siswa tidak dapat memahami sifat-sifat operasi bilangan berpangkat. Sedangkan kesulitan pada tahap prinsip yang dialami siswa sebanyak 14%. Sebagai contoh, tidak dapat menerapkan sifat-sifat operasi dengan tepat. Serta kesulitan pada operasi hitung yang dialami siswa sebanyak 45%. Sebagai contoh, siswa tidak menguasai operasi bilangan pecahan dan bilangan berpangkat dengan benar.   Kata Kunci : Analisis, kesulitan belajar, bilangan berpangkat   Abstract: This research aims to reveal the learning difficulties experienced by students in solving the exponential number and find out the factors that cause students experiencing learning difficulties in solving the exponential number. Research conducted at SMAN 3 Pontianak with research subjects were 36 students. Data collected by the test descriptions and interviews. Test description used to analyze the difficulties students in solving problems. Interviews are used to determine the factors that cause students' learning difficulties. The analytical method used is the analysis of qualitative data. The results showed that the difficulties experienced by many students is difficult at this stage of the concepts, principles, and arithmetic operations. Difficulties experienced by students concepts as much as 41%. For example, students can not understand the nature of operation of the exponential number. While the difficulty in principle stage experienced by students as much as 14%. For example, can not implement the properties with proper operation. As well as difficulties in arithmetic operations experienced by students as much as 45%. For example, students do not master the operation of fractions and exponential number correctly.   Keywords: Analysis, learning difficulties, the exponential number

Abstract

AbstractThe The ability to think critically and the emotional intelligence of students is a matter of concern in the learning of mathematics. The importance of critical mathematical thinking ability are listed in the NCTM's objectives. This reseach aimed to know the correlation among emotional intelligence and mathematical critical thinking ability of the tenth grade students of SMA1 Pontianak. The method that used un this reseach was a quatitative descriptive with Ex Post Facto form. The subject of this research were second eleventh grade science that consist of 33 students. Data collection techniques in this research was a measurement technique in the form of essay and the scale of emotional intelligence. Based on the Kendall’s Tau test with significance level α = 5% found that there was a positive relationship between the students emotional intelligence and mathematical critical thinking ability with the correlation 0,435. So it can be concluded that emotional intelligence is directly proportional to the students mathematical critical thinking ability.Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Mathematical Critical Thinking

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to know the effectiveness implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in learning arithmetic sequence and series material at class X of SMK. The method used in this study was a pre-experimental method with One-shot case study. The aspects used to determine effectiveness by application the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model was the implementation of learning by teachers in managing learning, student activities, and student learning outcomes. The data collection tool used is a test, student learning outcomes test which contains 6 essay questions, observation sheet of learning implementation of learning the teacher in managing learning, observation sheet of student activities, and research results data analyzed descriptively. It was found that the learning implementation process of learning by the teacher in managing learning was classified as good, namely (3.5). The activity of students is classified as active, which is equal to 64%. Classical learning completeness is not fulfilled, there are 25 students or 62.5%. Students who achieve the minimum completeness value, learning by application of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in arithmetic sequence and series material at class X of SMK Negeri 2 Pontianak are said to be ineffective.                   Keywords:  Arithmetic  Sequence And Series Material, Implementation of learning,   Project-Based Learning (PjBL) Model.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to know the effectiveness of the implementation of cooperative learning think pair share type in function topic at class X SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak. The research method used is pre-experimental method with the one-shot case study design. The aspect used to determine the effectivennes of the cooperative learning think pair share type are teacher’s class management, student’s activity, and student’s outcomes. The data collection tools used are test student’s outcomes which countains 7 essay and the observastion sheet for teacher’s class management and student’s activity. The result of the descriptive analysis carried out are teacher’s class management categorized good (3,35), sudent’s activity categorized active (73,74%), and student’s completeness not fulfilled classically (only 25 students or 76% students can fulfill the standard completeness). Because there was one aspect that not fulfilled, so the implementation of cooperative learning think pair share type in function topic at class X SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak was not effective. Keywords: Cooperative, Think Pair Share, Function

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine and describe the effectiveness of students learning with the implementation of the strategy of active learning tipe peer lesson on the material quadrilateral in class VII SMP N 21 Pontianak. The method that used is Experimental research design with Posstest. The sample of this research wan students of class VII D. Instruments used in the form of the essay and the observation sheet. Based on the results of the analysis obtained information that the effectiveness of students learning with the implementation of the strategy of active learning tipe peer lesson is with the category of effective. Furthermore, the average percentage of student learning activities that use learning strategies active type Perr Lesson is 75,92% by category active. The average percentage of adherence to the syntax of student learning using learning strategies active type Perr Lesson is 4,13% with very good category or keterlaksaan syntax learning effective. The average percentage of student learning outcomes using learning strategies active type Perr Lesson is 87.5% with category very good. The average percentage of response student learning using learning strategies active type Perr Lesson is 70.94% with category good. Keywords: Strategy of Active Learning, Peer Lesson, Quadrilateral.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is aimed to determine the effect of Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model type on SPLTV material to the mathematical communication ability of SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak. The form of this research is quasi experiment with posttest only control group design. The technique to be used is measurement techniques via written tests in the form of essays. The result of data analysis obtained from the students? mean score, the students? mean score of mathematical communication ability test of experiment class was 55,29 and the students? mean score of mathematical communication ability test of control class was 38,10. From the results of t test calculations, obtained tcount > ttable or 3.83 > 1.99 thus the students? mathematical communication ability with Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning type significantly higher than students with conventional learning. Based on the effect size, the effect size score was 0.94, so the contribution of Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model type is included in the high criteria. Based on these data it can be concluded that Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning type effect on the students? mathematical communication ability in SPLTV material in X grade students of SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak. Keywords:  Two Stay Two Stray Cooperative Type, Mathematical Communication Ability, SPLTV

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the students? mathematical problem solving at Junior High School in academic year 2017/2018. The method used in this research is descriptive method with survey research form. Subjects in this research were students at SMP Negeri 22 Pontianak class VIIID with a number of 29 students. Data collection techniques used were test and interviews. The results of the data analysis showed that students' mathematical problem solving ability were varied, some students were in the high category while the others were in low or medium category. However, generally the students' ability to identifies the elements that were known, asked, and the extent of the required elements were on the medium category (63.45%); to formulate a mathematical problem or to compile a mathematical model were on the low category (48.97%); to apply strategies in solving the problems were on the low category (44,83%); and to explain or interpret the results of problem solving elements on the low category (26.21%).Keywords : Mathematical Problem Solving, Factorization of Quadratic Equations
