Abstract

Action research on marine lobster farmer group in the Rumba Rumba Village of the District Kolono performed using Participatory Action Learning System which is a method of community empowerment in regional development. This activity has a purpose, namely to: help create beraitan management cultivation techniques, marketing and bookkeeping better cultivation sea lobster. The results achieved in this activity include: 1) the application of methods of cultivation lobster sea water in a better way for business productivity thereby increasing the revenue of fishermen cultivating lobster 2) management of cultivation of lobster more effectively by arranging bookkeeping cultivation of lobster so that businesses more profitable, 3 ) institutional formation of fishermen. With some methods are introduced, able to contribute to the social, ie unlock insights and ways of thinking group of fishermen to manage their business and create jobs in the village and the ability of the fishermen cultivation in entrepreneurship on their own, which in turn can improve the economics of the household and help the development of the coastal village.Keywords: Institutional, Entrepreneurship, Fishermen, Sea Lobster

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify marketing problems, analyze the marketing pattern, and to find out the market map and the direction of the marketing target of abon ikan. This research was conducted by survey method. Methods of collecting data by direct observation and in-depth interviews. The research respondents were producers, traders and consumers of shredded fish products, which were selected by purposive sampling. Data analysis with descriptive methods, using qualitative analysis, namely tracking marketing channels, and market mapping. The results of the study show that the main problem of marketing abon ikan is the availability of raw materials that are not continuous, low production technology, low business capital, production houses do not meet standards, incomplete business licensing, product certificates, training and development of quality human resources are still lacking and the availability of clean water. There are three types of marketing channel patterns, namely from producers to consumers, from producers to the center of Kendari then to consumers, and from producers to traders in Surabaya. Processing businesses cannot yet produce sustainably, the market area is only limited in Kendari City and the surrounding districts in Southeast Sulawesi, so there is still a need to develop a broader market development strategy

Abstract

The economic opportunities of the utilization of marine resources is so large in Southeast Sulawesi has been duly made a great contribution also for the improvement of the regional economy, and even become the driving sectors of the regional economy are dominant. However, the potential of the maritime sector has not been optimally, which is characterized by the contribution of the fisheries sector to the regional economy that is still lower than the agricultural and plantation sectors and socio-economic conditions of the people who come into contact with maritime sector has not been encouraging. This study aims to identify policies that support the maritime economy and maritime economic development strategy in Sulawesi. The result showed that there are various policies identified in supporting the development of the maritime economy in Southeast Sulawesi, among others: the policy in the field of regional economic development, policies in the field of transport, policies in the field of fisheries policy in the field of development of tourism and creative economy, policy development in the field of infrastructure development cantonal. Various strategies that can be taken in the optimization of the development of the maritime economy in Southeast Sulawesi based on the potential and opportunities of making marine (maritime) as the leading sector in the economic development area.Keywords: Maritime Economy, Planning, Development
