Abstract

Industri makanan sebagai salah satu kelompok industri yang mengolah hasil pertanian (agroindustri) berperan besar dalam pengembangan wilayah yang terlihat dari kontribusinya  terhadap PDRB dan penyerapan tenaga kerja.  Pengembangan agroindustri melibatkan lembaga yang ada pada suatu wilayah, baik lembaga formal maupun lembaga informal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran lembaga formal dan lembaga informal dalam pengembangan agroindustri ubi kayu.  Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dan informasi pada penelitian ini diperoleh dari studi literatur, observasi, wawancara mendalam dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) yang digunakan untuk analisis deskriptif kualitatif.  Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa lembaga formal yang berperan dalam pengembangan agroindustri adalah satuan perangkat daerah atau pemerintah daerah, Badan Usaha Milik Daerah (BUMD), Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN), lembaga formal yang langsung dibawah kementerian dan lembaga  formal lainnya.  Lembaga informal yang berperan dalam pengembangan agroindustri olahan ubi adalah petani, pemilik lahan, industri olahan ubi, pedagang, konsumen, lembaga keuangan tradisional dan Kerapatan Adat Nagari (KAN).  Peran lembaga formal dan informal diantaranya sebagai katalisator, fasilitator, regulator, perencana, inovator, penyedia jasa keuangan, kreditur, penjual dan pembeli.  Namun peran tersebut harus ditunjang dengan sosialisasi dan koordinasi melalui interaksi yang aktif dalam sebuah jaringan diantara lembaga agar pengembangan agroindustri dapat terwujud

Abstract

usaha lele asap Sinagri dan usaha lele asap Harsa Agri. Pembinaan dan pendampingan aspek produksi dilakukan dengan memperbaiki tata letak fasilitas/peralatan produksi di ruangan produksi yang disertai dengan pengadaan peralatan produksi berupa alat pengering yang dapat berfungsi juga sebagai pengasap, bak pencucian lele, freezer (lemari pendingin), baskom, sendok penjepit dan sealer. Perbaikan tata letak peralatan belum optimal karena keterbatasan ruangan produksi. Kegiatan pembinaan dan pendampingan aspek produksi yang disertai dengan pengadaan peralatan ini telah mampu meningkatkan kualitas produk dan meningkatkan produktivitas usaha menjadi 150-180%. Pembinaan dan pendampingan aspek pemasaran melalui perbaikan kemasan yang disertai dengan pembuatan label telah dapat meningkatkan kualitas produk dan memperluas lokasi pemasaran ke beberapa toko, bahkan sudah mencoba untuk memasarkan ke luar provinsi Sumatera Barat. Pembinaan dan pendampingan terkait manajemen usaha telah memberikan pengetahuan tentang perencanaan usaha, mengorganisasikan tenaga kerja, melakukan pencatatan keuangan serta diversifikasi produk. Evaluasi dari kegiatan memperlihatkan bahwa produktivitas usaha mitra meningkat dengan kualitas yang lebih baik dan lokasi pemasaran yang lebih luas. Namun belum seluruh aktivitas transaksi usaha yang dicatat oleh industri.

Abstract

Regional development was done before Indonesia's Independent day in 1945, but it still did not achieve the result as expected. The root cause of this problem is avoiding factors that influence regional development. The method used is an integrated review of research focused on regional development and competitiveness. This paper will discuss the external and internal factors of regional development to increase Indonesian position in regional competitiveness level. Internal factors related to regional development are management, resources, participation, local industry, infrastructure, technology, local policy, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Moreover, the external factors affecting regional development are the government, politics, market, and investment. Internal factors in regional development can be controlled; however, external factors are uncontrollable. Focusing on regional development to maintain competitive economic growth and become a competitive region should be put on innovation, entrepreneurship, and networking

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Local Food Industry Development program in West Sumatra. The data was collected through FGD with the stakeholders involved and then compared between the Technical Guidelines and Technical Guidelines for the West Sumatra Local Food Industry Development Program with the implementation in the field. The results obtained will be evaluated whether they are in accordance with the Technical Guidelines and Guidelines or not. Based on the results of the study, it was found that in general it had been implemented in accordance with the required technical guidelines and guidelines. Even so, there are several points that are not in accordance with the technical guidelines and technical guidelines due to several problems encountered in the field. However, this activity can continue to be carried out in order to further promote the use of local food in the community and further reduce the dominance of rice in people's food consumption

Abstract

Marketing activity is a key factor for the success in business. Success or failure of marketing is highly determined by the applied strategy. This research aimed to identify the factors that affect the volume of sales of ASKA Soy Milk and formulate marketing strategies that can be implemented by ASKA Soy Milk industry to increase the sales volume. This research was conduct with descriptive method. Data collected is the primary and secondary data. Sampling was carried out from retailers by using Cluster Random Sampling. The sample of the consumer is taken by Accidental Sampling and the sampling of the competitors is taken by Purposive. Factors that influence the sales volume of ASKA Soya Milk consist of internal factors such as diverse flavors, incomplete label and the simplicity of a packaging, short product durability, discounts for certain purchases, payment systems consignment, transportation for marketing and promotional. External factors that affect the sales volume of ASKA Soya Milk consist of the existence of local and non-local competitors who produce soy milk with a more attractive appearance and durability, the present of better technologies, and consumer loyalty. The strategy can be implemented by ASKA Soya Milk are: optimizing the use of existing marketing transportation, creating variations product size, complete labeling of products, expand the areas of product marketing, giving more alternate promotion, and providing discounts and rebates to consumers.

Abstract

The rice harvesting process has progressed a lot. Farmers used to harvest simply using a sickle and a simple thresher machine, while nowadays, they are using the latest harvest machine, called Combine Harvester. Technological developments should enable farmers to gain more significant benefits, such as higher production, a shorter processing time for harvesting, and lower costs incurred during harvesting. This study aims to describe the characteristics of farmers who use Combine Harvester technology and farmers who use Thresher harvesting technology. This study also compares the costs of rice harvesting and production of both farmers in lowland rice farming in Kenagarian Kambang Barat, Lengayang Sub-District, Pesisir Selatan District. The farmers sampling chose as many as 30 farmers purposively for each of those using a Combine Harvester and Thresher, so the total number of farmers to be interviewed was 60. The data analysis method used in this study is the analysis of the average difference test of the independent sample Z-test model. The research finds that farmers' main reasons for using the Combine Harvester were faster harvesting times and less labor. While the main reason for farmers using the Thresher was that its cost is considered the same if using a Combine Harvester machine. Moreover, the research indicates a significant difference in the cost of harvesting and producing rice using both harvesting machines. The harvesting cost of the Combine Harvester was lower than Thresher, which was Rp. 3,543,149 and Rp. 4,385,543 respectively. The difference in harvesting cost of these two harvesting machines was Rp. 842,394. Furthermore, the rice production using the Combine Harvester is higher than the thresher harvesting machine, which was 5,312 Kg/Ha/MT and 5,089 Kg/Ha/MT, respectively, with a difference of223 kg

Abstract

Coffee is a crop with great potential to be developed because it has an international market share. Lembah Gumanti District is one of the coffee-producing areas in Solok Regency, where the Solok Radjo Cooperative fosters it. This study aims to determine the characteristics of coffee farmers and the performance of coffee farming in the Lembah Gumanti sub-district. The research used a survey method and collected samples of 70 farmers by purposive sampling. The results showed that most of the farmers (41 percent) were in the elderly range of 51-60 years, had a low level of education, their main livelihood was in the agricultural sector, and had more than 20 years of farming experience. Demonstrations of coffee farming include planting patterns on the edge of the land, in between horticultural crops such as chilies, potatoes, cabbage ,and onions, as Welland coffee in monoculture. The age of coffee plants ranges from 3-5 years, which at this age h has not experienced maximum production at this ages; the existence of the Solok Radjo cooperation is in the moderate category, in which farmers get seeds, fertilizer, and a place to market coffee production, but have yet reached the benefits of guaranteeing coffee price stability. For the development of coffee in the Lembah Gumanti District, farmers hope that there will be a guarantee for a more stable coffee selling price so that the income contribution from the coffee plant increases.Kopi merupakan tanaman yang sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan, karena memiliki pangsa pasar internasional. Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti merupakan salah satu daerah penghasil kopi di Kabupaten solok, dimana dibina oleh Koperasi Solok Radjo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik petani kopi dan keragaaan usahatani kopi di kecamatan Lembah Gumanti. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survei dan pengambilan sampel 70 petani secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar petani (41 persen) berada di rentang usia lanjut 51-60 tahun, tingkat pendidikan rendah, mata pencarian utama di sektor pertanian dan sudah memiliki pengalaman usahatani lebih dari 20 tahun. Keragaan usahatani kopi diantaranya melakukan pola penanaman di pinggir lahan, di sela dengan tanaman hortikultura seperti cabe, kentang, kol dan bawang, serta penanaman kopi secara monokultur. Umur tanaman kopi berkisar antara 3-5 tahun, yang mana pada umur ini belum mengalami produksi maksimal. Manfaat keberadaan koperasi Solok Radjo berada pada kategori sedang, yang mana petani mendapatkan bibit, pupuk dan tempat memasarkan hasil produksi kopi, namun belum sampai pada manfaat penjaminan kestabilan harga kopi. Untuk pengembangan kopi di Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti petani berharap terdapat jaminan harga jual kopi yang lebih stabil agar kontribusi pendapatan dari tanaman kopi meningkat.

Abstract

Companies often have difficulties to make a choice in a raw material inventory. It is hard to decide the quantity of it. Another problem is difficult to match the needed and the purchasing of raw material. So, it is important to make a production planning and a controlling of raw material inventory. Brown’s Single Parametric Linear Method is used to predict the sales for the production planning and Economic Order Quantity Method is used to control the inventory. The prediction result is PT XYZ processing milk production will become 97045511 kg in 2002 with the total using of Full Cream Milk Powder (FCMP) is 3745957 kg and the using of Skim Milk Powder (SMP) is 2076774 kg. Total of ordering raw material based on EOQ method is 106346 kg for New Zealand’s FCMP in 15 times of ordering per year; 119889 kg of Australia’s FCMP in 18 times per year; 81113 kg. New Zealand’s SMP in 11 times of ordering per year; 91444kg Australia’s SMP in 13 times of ordering per year

Abstract

Local Food Commodities are still underutilized as raw materials for industry and other business activities. One of the entrepreneurs who uses local food commodities as raw materials for their business is MSME Yuliwardi which is engaged in providing snack boxes. The local foodstuffs it uses are purple sweet potatoes, cassava and others. With various creations and innovations, it has removed the stigma that doing business in the local food-based food sector is not profitable. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to analyze Yuliawardi's MSME business whether it is profitable or not. The method used is variable costing. From the research that has been carried out, it is found that Yuliwardi MSMEs have been running for 7 years starting from 2015. The initial capital was obtained through a loan to Nagari Bank. Raw Material Suppliers are obtained from farmers around the place of business and limes of Manis and its surroundings. Payment is made in cash directly upon pick-up of the goods. The total operating profit per month from the sale of boss products and snacks is IDR 26,203,300 with details of total receipts of IDR 79,065,000 and Fixed Costs of IDR 229,200 and Variable Costs of IDR 39,532,500. Conclusion Local food-based industries are very profitable to strive for and provide great profits.

Abstract

Analisis usahatani penting dilakukan untuk mengetahui alokasi penggunaan sumberdaya pada sebuah usahatani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan teknik budidaya padi bujang marantau dan menganalisis pendapatan serta keuntungan pada usahatani padi bujang marantau di Nagari Gantung Ciri Kecamatan Kubung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dimana dalam pengambilan sampelnya menggunakan metode survei. Metode pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan teknik budidaya padi Bujang Marantau memiliki perbedaan dengan teknik budidaya yang direkomendasikan. Perbedaan terletak pada kegiatan persemaian, penanaman, penyiangan dan pemupukan. Pendapatan rata-rata yang diperoleh sebesar Rp. 21.503.170,49/Ha/MT dengan keuntungan sebesar Rp. 9.692.842/Ha/MT. Analisis R/C ratio dari usahatani padi Bujang Marantau sebesar 1,4. Hal ini memperlihatkan bahwa usahatani padi Bujang Marantau layak untuk dibudidayakan. Untuk perbaikan teknik budidaya, maka perlu peran aktif petani dalam kegiatan penyuluhan dan peran peyuluh dalam mensosialsasikan teknik budidaya yang baik. Selain itu, untuk mengatasi pemakaian input yang cukup tinggi, terutama pada penggunaan pupuk dan benih maka sebaiknya petani melakukan inovasi-inovasi baru terhadap budidaya padi Bujang Marantau. Kata kata Kunci: Usahatani, Padi Bujang Marantau, Pendapatan, KeuntunganÂ
