Abstract

One of the strategic decisions in the company is related to dividend decisions. It becomes the basis for investors to invest in shares. Investors value income from dividends distributed by companies for more than income from capital gains. Investors prefer to receive payment now than future ones because they are faced with uncertainty. Regular dividend distribution indicates the company has bright prospects in the future. Accordingly, Dividends have a significant influence on the increase in share prices. Data were collected using the documentation method of 34 samples of the most liquid Islamic stocks listed on the IDX. This research uses the SPSS analysis technique and uses a partial test (t-test). The tests to determine the significance of each independent variable in influencing the dependent variable with a one-way test and using moderation regression to test and analyze the effect of dividends per share on stock prices, whether to strengthen/weaken the dependent variable. The study results found that profitability and solvency , as well as dividends, have a relationship with stock prices. The relationship between ROA and share prices as moderated by dividends is negative for stock prices. The relationship between ROE and share price, which is moderated by dividends, is positive but not significant. Dividends can significantly strengthen the DER relationship to the share price. In addition, dividends were able to strengthen DAR's relationship with share prices significantly.JEL: G11, G12, G41

Abstract

The 'global' and 'local' are often conceptually perceived as an opposite and obliterate. Due to the intensive process of globalization, many people imagined about the vanishing process of locality. The intensive migration towards cities and the internalization of new dies into the local community through the telecommunication infrastructures would directly affect the existence of localities. All of this process leads to the alienation of local community to their values and cultures. Same scholars demonstrate that the globalization also initiate the new globalized cultures which clearly shows their local roots. Migration to the cities, however, did not simultaneously push people away from their connections with the village of origin. Some studies showed that in many societies there were growing tendencies of migrants involved actively sponsor the local rituals at their home village to regain new status. This phenomenon indicate that the 'global' and the 'local' are not always in an opposite position, rather than complementary. Accordingly, the intensive globalization did not eradicate localities, but in many cases revitalize it although in different forms and values.

Abstract

A Community service program (PkM) carried out by the Department of Anthropology, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Gadjah Mada University in 2018 took place in Pucung Hamlet, Wukirsari Village, Bantul, which aims to develop Pedukuhan Pucung as a tourism village through participatory methods. In the implementation of this PkM, the participatory method that is introduced is the PRA (participatory rural appraisal) that researchers could act as facilitators and could directly facilitate citizens to recognize and utilize participatory methods to develop a CAP (Community Action Plan) which would later become a tourist village development plan. At the end of the implementation of this program, the CAP has successfully compiled the development of a Pucung tourism village based on local culture and it was also agreed to create a tourism village development organization and to select several local facilitators. Further, the PkM team will still provide assistance to the sustainability and implementation of the CAP of the Pucung Tourism Village.--------------------------------------------------Kegiatan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) yang dilakukan oleh Departemen Antropologi, Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Universitas Gadjah Mada pada tahun 2018 ini mengambil lokasi di Pedukuhan Pucung, Desa Wukirsari, Bantul, yang terkait dengan pengembangan Pucung sebagai desa wisata secara partisipatoris. Abstract

The colonial government's hopes to create a rest and order in its colonies proved unsuccessful. The instruments used are not able to force the public to be disciplined. Surabaya, the locus of this article, is not only interesting in a geographical sense, because of its position as a colonial city, but also because colonial governance practices take place intensively in this city. This study aims to complete the aspects that still neglect the attention of scholars by examining the practice of colonial governance to discipline the people of Surabaya through waste and excrement management. In addition to mapping the government policies in waste and excrement management, this article also analyzes why the colonial government failed to discipline the community. This study relies on primary sources in the form of newspapers published during the colonial period. The collected data was analyzed by following three stages, namely reduction, display, and data verification. This article concludes that the community's violation of colonial government rules in waste and excrement management shows the failure of colonial governance practices in disciplining the community. This community disobedience also reflects the public's distrust of the apparatus that carries out the rules. This study also shows that the repressive attitude of the colonial government in implementing environmental hygiene rules reflects awareness among Europeans about the importance of environmental health which is in line with public health.
