Abstract

This research aims to develop the test instrument that is feasible in terms of validity, reliability, and difficulty level and to identify students' misconceptions in simple harmonic motion concepts. The development stages used in this research were the modifications result from Oriondo Dalo-Antonio, which included: (1) planning and design development, (2) trying out, and (3) measurement and interpretation of results. The instrument has been developed and categorized as effective because it is declared valid and reliable based on the criteria of the lowest and highest limit of the INFIT MNSQ which is 0.77 and 1.30, all test items are fitted with the PCM model, and the instrument's reliability has an item reliability value of 0.73 with a good category. The test instrument was applied to 60 students of the tenth-grade of senior high school. Based on the results, the four-tier test instrument developed was able to identify students' conceptual understanding of 36.4%, and 17.7% of students only understood parts of concepts, 40.7% of students experienced misconceptions, and 5.2% of students did not know the concept. The biggest misconception occurred in the subtopic frequency of simple harmonic motion by 75%, the relationship of the rope length with the pendulum vibration period by 60%, and 58.3% about the relationship between the total spring constant and the spring frequency. The instrument developed in this research was able to detect students' misconceptions, especially student learning experiences about simple harmonic motion

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan instrumen penilaian kinerja kemampuan inkuiri mata pelajaran fisika peserta didik  SMA. Instrumen terdiri atas empat paket perangkat tes yang masing-masing terdiri atas 30 butir tes termasuk 9 butir bersama yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli pendidikan fisika, ahli fisika, ahli pengukuran, dan praktisi. Instrumen diujicobakan pada 2015 peserta didik. Model respon butir politomus empat kategori digunakan untuk menganalisis data hasil uji coba menurut Partial Credit Model (PCM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, berdasarkan kriteria batas terendah dan tertinggi mean INFIT MNSQ, yaitu  0,77 dan 1,30 butir tes semuanya fit dengan model PCM. Tingkat kesulitan butir-butir tes berada pada rentang antara -0,83 sampai +0,84 yang berarti butir-butir tes dalam kategori baik karena nilainya di antara -2,0 dan +2,0. Fungsi informasi total tes relatif tinggi untuk kemampuan antara -2,5 sampai +2,5. Dengan demikian, instrumen yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan untuk meng-ukur kemampuan inkuiri mata pelajaran fisika siswa SMA. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan inkuiri peserta didik pada mata pelajaran fisika SMA di DIY  berada di atas kemampuan rata-rata.Kata kunci: kemampuan inkuiri, mata pelajaran fisika SMA, Penilaian kinerja.______________________________________________________________ DEVELOPING ASSESSMENT INSTRUMENT OF THE PERFORMANCE OF THE INQUIRY ABILITIES IN PHYSICS SUBJECT OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTSAbstract The research was to develop an assessment instrument of performance for the inquiry ability of physic subject of senior high school students. The instrument consisted of four package sets of test and each of the sets consisted of 30 test items, including 9 items that had been validated by the expert of physic education, the expert of physic, the expert of measurement and the practitioner. The instrument was tested to 2,015 learning participants. The four-category politomous item response model was implemented for the data analysis of the experiment results according to the Partial Credit Model (PCM). The results of the research showed that based on the criteria of the lowest benchmark and the highest benchmark of mean INFIT MNSQ, was 0.77 and 1.30, all of the test items had been fit with the PCM model. The difficulty level of the test items was between -0.83 and +0,84 which implied that the test items belonged to the good category because the value of the test items was between  -2.0 and +2.0. The informative function of the total tests was relatively high for ability between -2.5 to +2.5. Thereby, the instrument developed can be used for measuring the inquiry ability of the physic subject of the senior high school students. The results of measurement showed that the inquiry ability of the learning participants in physic subject within the senior high schools in DIY was above average. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian pengembangan asesmen kinerja literasi sains berbasis STEM pada pembelajaran fisika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan validitas isi, validitas empiris, dan reliabilitas instrumen asesmen kinerja literasi sains berbasis STEM yang sebelumnya telah disusun. Instrumen yang dikembangkan berupa lembar pengamatan dan tes pilihan ganda. Analisis validitas isi dari lembar pengamatan menggunakan Koefisien V oleh Aiken sedangkan validitas isi instrumen tes dianalisis dengan menggunakan CVI (Content Validity Index) oleh Lawshe. Validitas empiris reliabilitas instrumen tes diestimasi dengan IRT (Item Response Theory). Reliabilitas lembar pengamatan ditentukan dengan ICC (Item Correlation Coefficient). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1) Lembar pengamatan berupa rubrik penskoran dan penilaian diri  terbuktivalid dengan koefisien  V Aiken 0,75 dan reliabel dengan koefisien Reliabilitas Alfa 0,8 dan ICC yang Excellent. (2) Instrumen tes terbukti realiabel untuk digunakan pada peserta didik dengan kategori sedang sampai dengan tinggi (-0,7 sampai dengan 6,7 ) dengan CVI=1 dan INFIT MNSQ sesuai model Rasch. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut maka asesmen kinerja Literasi Sains berbasis STEMlayak digunakan.Kata kunci:validitas isi, validitas empiris, asesmen kinerja, literasi sains, STEM VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY INSTRUMENT OF SCIENTIFIC LITERACY PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT IN PHYSICS TEACHING BASED ON STEMAbstractThis research is part of the development of scientific literacy performance assessment based on STEM in teaching physics. The aim of this research is to reveal the validity (content and also empiric) and reliability of scientific literacy performance assessment instrument based on STEM. The kind of instruments were developed are observational sheet and multiple choice test. The content validity of observational sheet was revealed by used the Aiken’s V Coefficient. The content validity of multiple choice tests was revealed by used Content Validity Index (CVI) which proposed by Lawshe. The empirical validity and reliability of multiple choice tests was revealed by used Item Response Theory Analysis. The reliability of observational sheet was revealed by used ICC (Item Correlation Coefficient) Analysis. The results of this study are the validity from the contents and empirical trials from the developed instruments. The observation sheet from scoring rubric and self-assessment has been valid with Aiken’s V value that exceeds the standard of 0,75. The reliability of the scoring rubric has Alfa Reliability 0.8 and Excellent of ICC. Validity values from The written test is shown with CVI of 1 and the MNSQ INFIT value which match to the Rasch model. Based on the TIC and SEM graphs, the written test is stated to be reliable for use in students with moderate to high categories (-0.7 to 6.7). STEM-based Science Literacy performance assessment with caloric material is appropriate to use.Keywords: content validity, empirical validity, performance assessment, scientific literacy, STEM

Abstract

The learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic becomes monotonous and make students tired. Therefore, there is needed for a learning media based on gamification that can support online learning. This research was conducted to develop an android application that can be used in physics learning, especially in momentum and impulse materials. This program is an application based on gamification and more attractive for students. The developed application is called Physics Isomorphic (FORFIS). This research uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation) as development phases. The research data were obtained from a questionnaire containing 27 statements and analyzed using the ideal standard deviation score. The mean score result by expert judgement is 132.29, which is in the "excellent" category. The Application of Isomorphic Physics (FORFIS) is declared feasible to be used as a medium of physics learning.

Abstract

This research is aimed to asses the validity and reliability of Islamic-science integrated test instrument. The instrument was formed in multiple-choice test instrument which is regarded as appropriate to assist student critical thinking ability. The validity of the instrument and its reliability were assessed quantitively. While Aiken’s V was used for assessing content validity, and Alpa Cronbach was used for assessing content reliability. In terms of Item Response Theory, it was assessed through the test I Function information and Standard Error of Measurement (SEM). The result of developing Islamic-science integrated test instrument to measure critical thinking ability was formed in the form of closed-minded multiple choice that consisting of two test packages. The total test items on the instrument are 45 items consisting of 25 items with 5 shared items (anchor). Estimation of the validity test instrument obtained an index ranging from 0.75 to 1. According to classical test theory, the coefficient of reliability was  0.70 and according to the total function information and Standart Error of Measurement, the test instrument was suitable for rangeability from 1.75 to +3. Thus, the test instrument is proved reliable and valid. A total of seven teachers using the declared that the test instrument is appropriate to use in measuring learning outcomes, especially the critical thinking abilities of the student Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konten validitas dan reliabilitas dari intrumen tes terintegrasi agama dan sains. Dengan demikian instrumen tes terbukti valid dan reliabel. Sejumlah tujuh guru pengguna instrumen tes menyatakan bahwa instrumen tes layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian instrumen tes cocok dan layak digunakan untuk mengukur hasil pembelajaran khususnya pada kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) menghasilkan alat penilaian pembelajaran Fisika berupa lembar penilaian kinerja yang layak digunakan untuk mengukur tanggung jawab peserta didik, (2) mengetahui sikap tanggung jawab peserta didik dan, (3) mengetahui efektivitas penerapan instrumen penilaian kinerja di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development ( R&D ). Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar penilaian kinerja dan angket respon. Untuk mengetahui kelayakan penilaian ahli menggunakan statistik V Aiken, uji validitas menggunakan pendekatan IRT dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan pendekatan inter-rater ICC. Hasil penelitian ini (1) lembar penilaian kinerja yang layak digunakan untuk mengukur tanggung jawab peserta didik, (2) tanggung jawab peserta didik mendapatkan rata-rata nilai 92,85 menunjukkan predikat “sangat baik”, dan (3) lembar penilaian kinerja efektif untuk mengukur tanggung jawab, dilihat dari hasil respon guru dalam kategori “sangat baik”. Performance assessment for measuring the attitude of responsibilities of learners AbstractThis study aims (1) to produce an assessment tool for physics learning in the form of sheet votes decent performance used to measure the responsibility of learners, (2) to determine the attitude of the responsibility of learners, (3) to examine the effectiveness of the implementation of performance assessment in schools. The method used is Research and Development (R & D). Collecting data using the performance assessment form and questionnaire responses. To determine the feasibility of using the expert assessment of statistical V Aiken, using the validity test and reliability test IRT approach using inter-rater ICC approach. The results of this study (1) sheet decent performance assessment used to measure the responsibility of learners, (2) the responsibility of learners obtain an average value of 92.85 indicates the predicate "very good", (3) an effective performance appraisal sheet measure of responsibility, seen from the response of the teacher in the category of "very good".

Abstract

This research aims to develop physics e-book-based jigsaw cooperative learning (JCL) assisted by WhatsApp. This article describes the results of the validity and effectiveness of the developed media on physics learning outcomes in terms of student learning motivation. This article also describes the relationship between initial ability and learning motivation on student learning outcomes. This research is development research with a 4-D model. This research was implemented with a quasi-experimental using a pretest-posttest control group research design. The sample in this research was 70 students of 10th grade science class at one of the high schools in Yogyakarta. The results of this research indicate that the development of WhatsApp-assisted JCL-based Physics e-book on the topic of straight motion is valid and reliable. This is evidenced by the results of the validator where the average value of validity and reliability is 0.75 in the high category and 94 in the reliable category. The use of WhatsApp-assisted JCL-based Physics e-book has a significant effect on improving student learning outcomes. This is indicated by the significant value is 0.00 < 0.05. By analysis of covariance, initial ability and learning motivation have a relationship with student learning outcomes. This is indicated by the squared value of the regression coefficient is 38.6%.

Abstract

The implementation of HOTS in the learning process is considered capable of improving the quality of education in Indonesia. However, in online learning conditions, there are many obstacles and limitations to training HOTS in Biology lesson. This study aims to describe biology teachers' knowledge, preparation, and implementation of HOTS training during online learning. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of phenomenology. This study involved 12 Biology teachers at SMA and SMK in West Java. The data collection technique is carried out through interviews via WhatsApp Call. The data analysis technique used is through reduction, data review, and conclusions drawing. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the teacher’s understanding of HOTS learning is still weak, and the implementation of HOTS training during online learning is still not optimal. The most widely used learning model is Problem based Learning. The constraint implementation of online HOTS training is inseparable from the online learning barriers, but teachers also continue to try to handle these barriers with various solutions.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kualitas butir soal Penilaian Harian Bersama I Fisika Kelas X SMAN 1 Patikraja ditinjau dari validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda, tingkat kesukaran, dan efektivitas distraktor. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek peserta didik kelas X MIPA SMAN 1 Patikraja. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa metode dokumentasi dan dianalisis menggunakan program Quest. Hasil dari penelitian: 1) Berdasarkan validitas, sebesar 90% (18 soal) valid sebesar 10% (dua soal)  tidak valid; 2) Berdasarkan reliabilitas, soal sangat reliabel karena memiliki reliabilitas sebesar 0,98; 3) Berdasarkan daya pembeda, sebesar 60% (12 soal) memiliki daya pembeda sangat baik, sebesar 25% (lima soal) memiliki daya pembeda baik, sebesar 15% (tiga soal) memerlukan revisi; 4) Berdasarkan tingkat kesukaran, sebesar 30% (enam soal) termasuk soal sukar, sebesar 40% (delapan soal) termasuk soal sedang, sebesar 25% (lima soal) termasuk soal mudah, sebesar 5% (satu soal) termasuk soal sangat mudah; 5) Berdasarkan efektivitas distraktor, sebesar 50% (10 soal) sangat baik, sebesar 10% (dua soal) baik, sebesar 5% (satu soal) cukup baik, sebesar 15% (tiga soal) kurang baik, sebesar 20% (empat soal) tidak baik; 6) Berdasarkan analisis butir soal, sebesar 45% (sembilan soal) berkualitas sangat baik, sebesar 15% (tiga soal) berkualitas baik, sebesar 40% (delapan soal) berkualitas sedang. Kata Kunci: Kualitas butis soal, analisis butir soal, Fisika, SMAN 1 Patikraja
