Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between interest and reading motivation based on literature review. The concept of the interest portrayed as a psychological state that occurs during interaction between individual and specific topic, object or activity including process of willingness, increased attention, concentration and positive feeling to the topic, object or activity. Meanwhile reading motivation emphasized to mental readiness, willingness and refers to beliefs and perception of individual to engage in reading activity. Some researchers were identified factors that influenced reading motivation such as intrinsic and extrinsic factors, self-concept and value of reading, and interest. In general, the literature review described that have positive relationship between interest and reading motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study want to examine the subjective well-being condition of students MAN 3 Palembang that stay in dormitory, and also want to find the factors that influences subjective well-being condition of students. The samples of this study chosen by cluster sampling and survey quantitatif approach used in this study.The result found that subjective well-being condition of students MAN 3 Palembang that stay in dormitory there are in moderate position with values 71,2% or 74 students. Then, this study also found three factors that influences positive and negative subjective well-being condition. Three factors that influences positive well-being condition there are; enjoyable friends, be autonomous, and self-discipline. In others hand, three factors that effect negative subjective well-being condition there are; less facilities of dormitory, solid and monotonous activities,  and petulantly supervisor.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the interest in academic domains among international undergraduate students at University Utara Malaysia. Quantitative research with focused on correlation design was chosen in this study, and she samples of this study consisted of 30 males students including 15 Somalia, 10 Uzbekistan, and 5 Nigerian students. The result showed that the international undergraduate students of University Utara Malaysia have moderate level of interest in academic domains (64.33%), Meanwhile regression analysis showed highly significant correlation between situational interest and individual interest (r=0.842 and p = 0.000), and the finding also showed that situational interest was contributed to develop individual interest (R2=0.709).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is looking for factors that have contrubuting to sexsual orientation development empirically, and want to know how the health and religion views about sexsual orientation. Based on literature, the writer find three factors that have contrubuted to sexsual orientation development, namely developmental processes, social and culture,and heredity (genetic and hormonal). In other hand the study also find that th negative sexual orientations (including homosexsual and bisexsual) have higher tendency to become unhealty and have diseas such as sypilis, hephatitis B and HIV. Scholars find that the religious obedience can be delay implementation of negative sexual orientation.
