Abstract

This paper aims to examine the possibility of spiritual values that is integrated with subject-matter of general subjects, especially science (IPA). The method of analysis in this paper adopts the basic principles of values education in Islam is monotheism, science and morals, which is based on the integration of knowledge between public science with the science of religion (non-dichotomous). Integration of Islamic values in the science learning manifest in the pattern of the overall science learning (integral-holistic) appreciates the existence of a general science or science as the study of Islamic religious knowledge as well as responding to the needs of society and the family. In regard to the implementation of learning the values of unity, stimulating science search continuously and pay attention to aspects of students' moral and noble character.

Abstract

Natural science and social science are integrated into the 2013 curriculum based on the themes in all subjects of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) (Islamic Primary School). The integration is done in two ways, namely the integration of attitudes, skills and knowledge in the learning process and the related basic concepts. Themes related to the meaning of the basic concepts, so students do not learn them partially. This approach is appropriate for MI students because of the psychological point of view; they have not been able to think abstractly to understand content of a separate subject. Thereby, the classroom atmosphere are comfortable and fun, students can learn to solve social problems and mutual respect, they get opportunities as possible to learn better, get the information quickly, apply materials directly in the context of daily life, and apply the principle of mastery learning. Keywords: Tematik, IPA, IPS, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

Abstract

Pengelolaan limbah merupakan suatu keharusan baik di lingkungan masyarakat maupun pondok pesantren, khususnya pondok pesantren bersama masyarakat yang memiliki beberapa pengembangan usaha yang menghasilkan produk akhirnya berupa limbah organik. Pesantren Saung Balong al-Barokah sebagai pesantren yang tidak hanya konsen pada bidang pendidikan namun juga memberdayakan ekonomi bagi warga masyarakat dengan adanya kawasan kampung ternak khususnya ternak sapi, pertanian, dan rumah makan, tentu mempunyai permasalahan limbah organik yang berlimpah yang akan menimbulkan persoalan lingkungan apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, Pesantren Saung Balong al-Barokah berupaya mengajak (berdakwah) kepada masyarakat untuk mengelola dan memanfaatkan limbah organik untuk mewujudkan program eko-lingkungan dan religius. Maka penelitian ini berupaya mengungkap lebih dalam tentang hal ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan teknik pengambilan data yaitu wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengelolaan limbah organik di Pesantren Saung Balong al-Barokah dan masyarakat direncanakan dengan komprehensif dan terintegrasi baik sistem, mekanisme, maupun azaznya dalam upayanya mewujudkan program eko-lingkungan. Demikian juga upaya pemanfaatan limbah organik telah berhasil membuat produk yang bernilai ekonomi dan berwawasan lingkungan. Artinya pengelolaan dan pemanfaatan limbah organik di Pesantren Saung Balong al-Barokah selain ramah lingkungan juga bersifat educating and empowering society serta implementasi Islam yang holistik dengan keshalehan sosial. Kata kunci: Dakwah, Pengelolaan, Pemanfaatan, Limbah

Abstract

Madrasah Nizhamiyya is the momentum of the history of Islamic education, the pioneer of institutional Islamic education system, and the driving force behind the establishment of similar institutions in the history of Islamic education. In addition, the birth of this educational institution is also seen as an effort to awaken Sunni orthodoxy. On the other hand, this institution is the starting point for the decline of science, because the supremacy of the religious sciences in it raises the dichotomy and antagonization of various branches of science. Whereas in Islam there is no recognition of the essential separation between the religious sciences and the "profane sciences", because it all boils down to the knowledge of the Only One - the substance of all knowledge.Keywords: Madrasah, education, Sunni

Abstract

Abstrak Kajian sejarah mengenai lembaga pendidikan selama ini lebih banyak terfokus kepada madrasah. Padahal kuttab adalah salah satu lembaga pendidikan yang tidak kalah pentingnya. Kuttab merupakan pendidikan dasar untuk anak-anak usia dini dan yang terpinggirkan. Keberadaannya sudah ada sejak sebelum Islam sampai terutama dengan kemunculan madrasah, meskipun selanjutnya tetap bertahan dalam lingkup yang terbatas. Sebagai lembaga pendidikan, kuttab menunjukkan peran yang sangat penting bagi pendidikan anak-anak khususnya dalam literasi dan pendidikan dasar agama. Meskipun sistem pendidikan ini bersifat tradisional, namun kuttab sangat berperan dalam membangun literasi yang baik bagi masyarakat Islam terutama di awal-awal sejarah Islam.  Pendekatan yang digunakan antara lain keteladanan dan pembiasaan. Abstract

The learning process in schools mostly occurs in the classroom where students learn to interact for many hours. Meanwhile the condition of the class frequently does not support, classes are too crowded, hot, stuffy, and others. So complete sufferings of those who learn in them. In fact comfortable classrooms can ensure the achievement of effective learning. In this case, how can it be achieved? One of the frequently overlooked in classroom management, to create a learning conducive atmosphere, is the placement of plants. In addition to the aesthetic of class decoration, plants are useful to create the ideal temperature, produce oxygen for the needs of the students in class that are generally crowded, and clean up pollutants. Thereby, the class will be lovely and comfortable which ultimately will lead to a positive attitude and mind in learning. Kata Kunci: Tanaman, Kelas, Pembelajaran, Kondusif

Abstract

Cirebon is a growing city that is characterized by fast population growth. It influences on increase of needs, residential land, recreation, transportation, health, education, and other facilities that support the sustainability of social and economic life of Cirebon city dwellers. The development of industrial areas and the use of means of transportation, such as motorcycles and cars can cause pollution or contamination. Meanwhile, Cirebon is a coastal city which has a hot temperature. Therefore, Cirebon requires urban open space as a solution to the problem in order to create beautiful, cool, pollution free of the city lungs and the availability of public space to relieve fatigue from urban tension. Unfortunately, the local government provids only 9% city forest from 30% the ideal of the total area.Not to mention that the existing urban open space, actually, seem to be ignored. This situation is certainly not healthy for the life quality of Cirebon city dwellers.Key words: Hutan, Kota, Pembangunan, Manfaat

Abstract

AbstrakPengembangan modul pembelajaran berbasis sains, lingkungan, teknologi, masyarakat dan Islam (Salingtemasis) merupakan bagian dari pembelajaran yang mengaitkan lingkungan sekitar dengan nilai – nilai Islam menjadi tak terpisahkan sebagai aplikasi integrasi dengan pembelajaran biologi tentang ekosistem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul  pembelajaran berbasis sains, lingkungan, teknologi, masyarakat dan Islam (Salingtemasis) pada konsep Ekosistem kelas X, mengetahui peningkatkan hasil belajar siswa beserta perbedaannya antara yang diterapkan modul dan yang tidak dietrapkan, dan mengkaji respon siswa terhadap pengembangan modul berbasis sains, lingkungan, teknologi, masyarakat dan Islam (Salingtemasis) di  kelas X di SMA NU (Nadhatul Ulama) Lemahabang Kabupaten Cirebon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode eksperimen.Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini melalui angket, uji modul berbasis sains, lingkungan, teknologi, masyarakat dan Islam (Salingtemasis), dan tes hasil belajar. Untuk uji analisis digunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan Uji t Paired Sample Test.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang pengembangan bahan ajar melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu analisis kebutuhan, desain modul, pengemebangan bahan ajar, validasi modul oleh para ahli, dan uji coba modul. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan modul sebesar 0,28 dengan kriteria cukup baik. Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan  antara kelas eksperimen dan control. Respon dari siswa sebesar 82.07% yang berarti sangat kuat terhadap penggunaan modul. Kata kunci : Modul Biologi Berbasis (Salingtemasis), Hasil Belajar

Abstract

Keterampilan generik sains merupakan kemampuan dasar yang harus dimiliki oleh mahasiswa calon guru biologi. Dalam satu proses praktikum (eksperimen) mata kuliah Anatomi Tumbuhan mahasiswa calon guru biologi dituntut untuk dapat terampil tidak saja pada aspek psikomotorik tetapi juga menganalisis dan memecahkan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap keterampilan generik sains mahasiswa calon guru biologi pada praktikum anatomi tumbuhan dari ragam pengamatan, pemodelan dan inferensi. Kemampuan generik sains di perguruan tinggi salah satunya adalah melakukan pengamatan langsung, melakukan pemodelan maupun menggunakan inferensi logis. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif menggunakan metode analisis kuantitatif dari data kualitatif deskriptif terhadap laporan akhir eksperimen mahasiswa dalam kegiatan praktikum. Objek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester 2 berjumlah 38 orang di IAIN SN Cirebon. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data pada ragam pengamatan diperoleh KGS  sedang. Pada ragam pemodelan dan inferensi diperoleh KGS tinggi. Dengan demikian masih diperlukan bimbingan secara intensif guna meningkatkan KGS bagi mahasiswa calon guru biologi. Generic science skills are basic skills that must be held by prospective teachers of biology students. In the process of practicum (experimental) Plant Anatomy subject, prospective teachers of biology students are required to be skilled not only in the psychomotor aspect but also in analyzing and solving problems. This research aims to reveal the generic skills of prospective teachers of biology student at the anatomy of plants from various observations, modeling and inference. Ability of generic science in college one of them is a direct observation, perform modeling and logical inference. This research was descriptive using methods of quantitative analysis of qualitative data descriptive of the final report of a student experiment in lab activities. Object of research is the second semester students, amounting to 38 people at the IAIN SN Cirebon. Based on the analysis of data on a variety of observations were obtained KGS. On a variety of modeling and inference obtained high KGS. Thus, intensive guidance is still needed to improve the KGS for prospective teachers of biology students.

Abstract

Qur’an is a guide to life. Reading it is worship, so the ability to read the Qur'an correctly, within the scope of Islamic religious education, is an important ability, students should master it.  This capability is continuously being developed in Islamic Primary Full Day School Sabilul Huda Cirebon City. This study aimed to reveal in-depth the management of learning to read Qur’an with the Qiroati method in Islamic Primary Full Day School Sabilul Huda Cirebon City. This research was a field qualitative case study research. Data collection instruments were in-depth observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Analysis techniques were carried out through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusions. The results showed that: (1) Qiroati learning planning was done carefully starting from teacher preparation, learning methods, learning time, learning targets, and teaching aids. (2) The Qiroati Learning used individual methods, individual classics, classical reading, drill, writing, and reading. Each class was guided by a Qiroati teacher.(3) Evaluation of Qiroati learning was carried out through daily evaluation, upgrading evaluation, and final evaluation.
