Abstract

Pendidikan adalah suatu tuntutan yang harus dilakoni semua individu manusia, mulai dari ayunan samapai liang lahat. Dewasa ini selain pendidikan formal khusus bagi anak-anak telah diterapkan pendidikan berbasis keagamaan dalam bentuk sekolah yang diberi nama Madrasah Diniyah. Madrasah Diniyah merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang memberikan pendidikan dan pengajaran secara klasikal yang bertujuan untuk memberi tambahan pengetahuan agama Islam kepada siswa-siswa yang merasa kurang menerima pelajaran agama Islam di sekolahnya. Keberadaan Madrasah Diniyah ini sangat menjamur di masyarakat karena Madrasah Diniyah merupakan sebuah kebutuhan pendidikan yang mengkhuskan dibidang keagamaan. Penyelenggaraan Madrasah Diniyah mempunyai ciri berbeda dan beragam. Perbedaan tersebut disebabkan oleh faktor yang mempengaruhinya, misalnya; latar belakang yayasan atau pendiri Madrasah Diniyah, budaya masyarakat setempat, tingkat kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap pendidikan agama dan kondisi ekonomi masyarakat dan lain sebagainya. Perkembangan Madrasah Diniyah telah mengalami kemajuan pesat. Akan tetapi, dalam perjalanannya Madrasah Diniyah masih mengalami berbagai kendala, baik dalam sistem kurikulum, metode, pengelolaan, pendanaan, dan lain sebagainya. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka pembenahannya perlu dikaji secara mendalam seluruh faktor yang mempengaruhinya.

Abstract

Profesionalisme guru, tentu harus terkait dan dibangun melelui penguasaan kompetensi-kompetensi yang secara nyata dalam menjalankan dan menyelesaikan tugas-tugas dan pekerjaannya sebagai guru. Kompetensi-kompetensi penting jabatan guru tersebut adalah: Kompotensi profesional, yaitu kompetensi pada bidang substansi atau bidang studi, kompetensi bidang pembelajaran, metode pembelajaran, sistem penilaian, pendidikan nilai dan bimbingan. Kompetensi sosial, yaitu kompetensi pada bidang hubungan dan pelayanan, pengabdian masyarakat. Kompetensi personal, yaitu kompetensi nilai yang dibangun melalui perilaku yang dilakukan guru, memiliki pribadi dan penampilan yang menarik, mengesankan serta guru yang gaul dan ”funky” sehingga menjadi dambaan setiap orang, sosok guru yang menjadi tauladan bagi siswa dan panutan masyarakat. Penilaian terhadap profesi guru tidak hanya sekedar pada aspek kualitas, administrasi dan manajemen saja, tetapi masalah guru lebih luas dan kompleks, menyangkut kemampuan profesional, personal, sosial termasuk perilaku dan kurangnya penghargaan yang layak terhadap profesi guru. Penilaian harus dilakukan oleh mereka yang memiliki kemampuan dan kompetensi pada bidang kependidikan.

Abstract

In the 21th century, education system internationally strives to raise the pursuit of excellence at all levels. Perhaps understandably, any efforts to improve education quality cannot succeed without the continuous support and cooperation of a professional teacher. This fact is widely recognized in international attention mostly in term of promoting the continuing professional of teachers. The term of ‘continuing’ refers to the need for ongoing development of teachers’ knowledge, professional skill, and their effectiveness in schools. This is a reaction to the professional development which is not satisfied yet in leading to an increase in teacher knowledge, skills, and commitment. This paper explores the concept of continuing professional development, the limitation of current approaches to professional development, and the reinvigoration strategy of teacher professional development. The concern is on teachers rather than school leaders, but the implications are highlighted for school leadership and management.

Abstract

It is important to think that all of the learning activities are tied closely to learners’ motivation and character building. Motivationincites or stimulates the learners to attain their purpose, and while, character is the measurement of people’s perceived manners and an overall evaluation of people’s inward and outward behavior. Without having high motivation, there is no a dynamics in the class. On the contarary, motivated learners are willing to work hard, focus their attention on the tasks, and may even promote collaborative learning and stimulate others in the classroom. Learning English does not mere focus on the mastery of language skills, but it has the dimension of character building. This paper is an attempt to propose a design of instruction for learning English languageon the dimension of motivation and character building. It mostly includes the concept of motivation, character, and the model of design of instruction for English class on motivation and character building based-orientation.

Abstract

Selecting an appropriate text is one of important steps in teaching children literature. Thus, it is needed a scientific consideration especially based on the concept of educational psychology. As an applied psychology, educational psychology concerns on understanding of learning and teaching process and provides certain concepts to help education practitioners in solving learning and teaching problems. The concept of educational psychology is applicable for children literature teaching. This article discusses theoretically and practically the dimension of educational psychology in selecting text for teaching children literature in elementary school. Such dimension encompasses children development in terms of cognition, moral, personality, language, and story concept.

Abstract

There are actual issues in education in Indonesia nationally. These issues include cha-racter education, National Examination, curriculum changing, teachers’ competency inwritingscientific papers, educational infrastructure, and education management. The issues on character education are more emphasized on strategies for character education to be right on target. While the issue of National Exam focuses on the essence of implementation. The last three issues relate to the urgency of teachers’ scientific work, instructional media, and the arrangement of recruitment, career development, and teacher supervision system. All the above national education issues have implications for learning English as a foreign language in Indonesia. This article discusses issues of national education and its implications for learning English in foreign languages in Indonesia.

Abstract

Nirok Nanggok is a tradition of Belitung people in rural areas conducted during long dry seasons, as rivers and swamps dry up. Nirok Nanggok is a fishing activity using Tirok (a kind of spiky pointed iron spear) and Tanggok (a kind of small net with wooden handle). This activity is usually carried out by one village led by a shaman who led the way the event. Nirok Nanggok is a mass fishing event that is still implemented by the people of Kembiri Village in the Southern part of Belitung Island until now. This event is only held during the long dry season between September and October. This ritual is a form of local wisdom in preserving river ecosystems because fishing is done in rivers that have been determined and regulated by a shaman.

Abstract

This research is purposed to develop caricatur based video as a teching media for physics subjeck to enrich student’ creative thiking ability.  The research was developed by using 4 D design which is well know as define, design, develop and disseminate. Collecting data is research. The researcher uses validity of  learning intruction test, quistionaire for students, and creative thiking ability test.  The research subject of this research is the VIII  grade students is the SMPN 5 plampang. The data analysis used in this study is descriptive qualititative approach. The result of vitur validation test shows that using  vitur as the physic teaching media to enrich students creative thiking ability can be categorized into  “valid” category in which the average score gained by the research subjects is 3,75 and the studen’ responses show the result in average 3,20. This result can be categorized  into high  category in using vitur as the physic teahing media to enrich  student’  creative thiking ability. The creative thiking ability test the was the distributed by  researcher to the reseach subjects show the result 67,25%. Ultimately, it can be inffered that vitur as the physics the teaching media is valid and properly used to enrich students’ creative thinking ability.

Abstract

The most outstanding event in recent history has been the continuous increase in the proportion of students entering higher education. Thus, it seems reasonable to assume to what extent this significant increase in higher education participation has a connection to the individual characteristics, social-economic, religion, gender ethnicity geography variables. Using data from the IFLS, a binomial logit model was fitted to determine the factors that influence an individual to pursue a higher-level education as observed by the recent rise in the demand for higher education in Indonesia. The empirical findings of the study indicate the following: firstly, individual characteristic; score, school type are relevant variables for individual participation in higher education. Secondly, for the socioeconomic variables; income, father?s education, mother?s education, household status, household size are important variables for individual participation in higher education. Finally, for the gender, ethnicity variables; the results were quite shocking, both Javanese and Male are the less likely to demand higher education in Indonesia. Further, regional and geographic variables were found to be insignificant.

Abstract

Rumah Makan Kampoeng Bamboe merupakan suatu perusahaan atau badan usaha yang bergerak dalam pelayanan jasa makanan dan minuman yang diperuntukan bagi masyarakat umum. Permasalahan yang ada pada Rumah Makan Kampoeng Bamboe yang terkait dengan proses pencatatan dan pelaporan utang dagang yang belum terkomputerisasi. Sehingga membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama dalam proses penyelesaian laporan utang dagang. Selain itu laporan utang dagang yang yang disajikan tiap bulan masih mengalami keterlambatan. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk membangun perangkat lunak untuk mengelola data utang dagang menggunakan metode Extreme Programming (XP). Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam pembuatan perangkat lunak untuk mencatat utang dagang adalah melalui wawancara dan observasi yang langsung ditunjukkan kepada Rumah Makan Kampoeng Bamboe. Hasil rancangan pada penelitian ini, yaitu rancangan Use Case, Activity Diagram, Input, Output, dan pengkodean. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah aplikasi untuk mencatat utang dagang yang dapat mengelola data utang dagang secara akurat dan dapat membuat laporan utang dagang persupplier maupun perperiode.
