Abstract

Berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang sangat penting bagi peserta didik, khususnya mahasiswa agar dapat menghubungkan persoalan atau informasi yang diperolehnya melalui penyelidikan dan pengkajian secara sistematis sehingga menghasilkan ide atau solusi untuk pemecahan masalah dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang bertujuan menganalisis atau menggambarkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan matematika pada materi limit fungsi aljabar. Indikator yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika mahasiswa antara lain kemampuan identifikasi masalah, analisis, sintesis, inferensi, dan evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi, tes tertulis, dan wawancara untuk memperdalam infomasi mengenai kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester II Jurusan Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Matematika dan IPA Universitas Negeri Gorontalo tahun akademik 2014 yang telah selesai memprogramkan mata kuliah Kalkulus I. Sedangkan teknik analisis data sesuai dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh hasil bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan matematika pada mata kuliah kalkulus I materi limit fungsi aljabar tergolong sedang. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor antara lain kecermatan dalam mengabstraksi soal, penguasaan konsep-konsep limit fungsi aljabar dan materi prasyarat (kemampuan awal) serta penerapannya, kecenderungan mahasiswa dalam mengandalkan hafalan.

Abstract

Losing vision for blind students makes them difficult to access education. Thus, blind students need special tools like interesting and applicable learning media, teaching methods, and techniques for them. This study was developmental research that aimed to describe the result of instructional media development of braille number card to improve blind students' understanding on integer number and describe their understanding after using braille number card as learning media at special needs elementary school. The subjects of this study consisted of three students with low vision, partially sighted students, and blind students. The research model used was ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). Data were collected using test and questionnaire to know their understanding of braille number card as learning media on integer numbers. The result showed that blind students responded positively with an average score of 83% and 66.7% of their learning test. Therefore, It can be concluded that braille number card as instructional media can be used in teaching and learning activity to improve blind students' understanding.

Abstract

Eight of basic skills in teaching should be practiced to the student in stage, continually, and through direct observation. Those are: (1) Open-close skill in learning, (2) Explanation skill, (3) Asking skill (4) Variation skill in learning, (5) Giving reinforcement, (6) Managing class, (7) Managing discussion, and (8) Controlling small group. There are something had identified in Student Observation Training Program (PPL) they are (a) Minimity of leader students in guidance, (b) Students unablenes in determining their capacity of professional teaching which is done to fill the basic skill standard in teaching, and (c) there is no self discription about teaching basic skills that have been practiced by their selves. Hence, it significantly has the process of guidance through clinical supervision approach. It intends to optimize the guidance and to maximize students capacity in apply teaching skills. The result of this study proves that through clinical supervision approach increase students capacity in apply teaching skills.

Abstract

AbstrakPersamaan kuadrat dan fungsi kuadrat merupakan dua materi ini mudah untuk dibedakan tetapi keduanya tidak bisa dipisahkan. Penguasaan siswa terhadap fungsi kuadrat dan grafiknya banyak terkait dengan penguasaan siswa terhadap persamaan kuadrat. Siswa bermasalah dalam menguasai fungsi kuadrat dan menggambar grafik fungsi tersebut diakibatkan oleh (1) penguasaan siswa yang tidak memadai tentang bentuk persamaan kuadrat, (2) siswa tidak menguasai cara menyelidiki dan menemukan akar-akar persamaan kuadrat. Teknik inkuiri dengan karakteristik dan langkah pembelajaran penyelidikan dalam penerapaanya (a) memberi ruang kepada siswa belajar untuk berpikir (learning how to thik), (b) menempatkan siswa melakukan proses penyelidikan sesuai dengan gaya belajarnya dan (c) siswa yang memiliki kemampuan penguasaan dalam range rata-rata atau lebih, tidak terhambat perkembangan penguasaannya oleh siswa yang di bawah rata-rata. Aktivitas siswa melakukan penyelidikan terbimbing dalam pembelajaran mampu meningkatkan penguasaan mereka terhadap persamaan kuadrat dan fungsi kuadrat dan grafinya. Penguasaan siswa kelas IXD SMP Negeri 1 Kabila pada materi fungsi kuadrat dan grafiknya dapat ditingkatkan menggunakan teknik inkuiri dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Penguasaan Siswa, Inkuiri, Pembelajaran

Abstract

The economic model which deals with the economic cycle is Goodwin's Model. It presents the relationship between the employment rate and wage shares. In this study, the modification model was made, taking into three types of workers, namely high, medium, and low-skilled workers. Studies of the model are conducted by determining the equilibrium point and its stability analysis. Furthermore, a numerical simulation is given to see which model satisfies the ideal of Goodwin‘s model cycle prediction by using Indonesian data from 2000 to 2020. In the end, an investigation into the effects of reducing the wage gap between the three types of workers was conducted. The results showed two equilibrium points, namely The Equilibrium Point without Employment Rate and The Wages Share (T1) and the Existence Equilibrium Point of Employment Rate and Wages Share (T2). T1 achieves a stable node condition when ScQd+pi+et while T2 reaches a stable center condition when ScQd+pi+et. The simulation showed Goodwin's model of high- and low-skilled workers produced the ideal of Goodwin model cycle predictions, whereas Goodwin's model of medium-skilled workers and the entire economy (capitalist) didn’t produce the ideal of Goodwin model cycle predictions. Eventually, the effects of reducing the wage gap make the economy unstable.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikasn kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah kontektual pada materi koordinat kartesius. Penelitian deskripsi ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Batudaa, pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Alat pengumpulan data pada penelitian menggunakan tes soal uraian (essay) dan wawancara untuk memperkuat hasil data yang diambil. Pada indikator pertama ini kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa memperoleh presentase 55,87%, artinya siswa masih mampu dalam menyatakan situasi kedalam bahasa matematika yang menyatakan suatu posisi, atau arah suatu masalah. Untuk indikator kedua, kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa memperoleh presentase 91,13%, arinya siswa sangat mampu mengevaluasi situasi, ide matematika untuk menentukan suatu posisi ataupun arah suatu tempat yang ditanyakan dalam soal yang memuat masalah kontekstual. Sedangkan untuk indikator ketiga, kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa memper oleh presentase 60,63%, artinya dibandingkan dengan indikator pertama, masih lebih banyak siswa yang mampu menjelaskan atau memberikan kesimpulan dari jawaban yang diperoleh dalam bentuk lisan ataupun tulisan, gambar/grafik dan aljabar.

Abstract

This research discusses the use of CAR model in finding out factors that significantly influence TBC transmission and figuring out its transmission patterns in Gorontalo city. The methods apply CAR model aiming to discover factors that significantly influence TBC transmission and Moran's Index aiming to identify its transmission pattern Findings reveal that the number of impoverished population and highlands in Gorontalo city are factors that significantly influence disease transmission The transmission patterns also indicate positive spatial autocorrelation that signifies a similar category among sub-districts

Abstract

Mathematics is a difficult subject for students, causing low motivation, interest and student learning outcomes. To attract students to be more interested in learning mathematics, they must use interactive learning media so that learning is not boring and fun. This study aims to develop a multimedia adventure game in pyramid topic based on mobile learning in grade eight. This study uses the 4-D development model, however, at the stage of dissemination only limited distribution is carried out. The subjects in this study were grade eight students of one of junior school in Gorontalo District, Gorontalo Province, Indonesia. The results of the study based on the validation of topic and media experts showed that the quality of multimedia was good. Meanwhile, based on the teacher's ability for managerial to learn is also categorized as good, the activities of students during the learning process reach the ideal time criteria, the responses of all students are classified as very positive of 90.56% and learning tests show that 72.5% of students achieve completeness. This shows that the adventure multimedia game based on mobile learning in pyramid topic is valid, practise, and effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kemandirian belajar dalam pembelajaran matematika SMP. Indikator yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan kemandirian belajar matematika antara lain: (1) mampu bertanggung jawab, (2) memiliki kedisiplinan, (3) mampu bekerja sendiri, (4) memiliki inisiatif, dan (5) memiliki kepercayaan diri. Instrumen pengumpulan data terdiri dari angket dan wawancara untuk memperdalam informasi mengenai kemandirian belajar dalam pembelajaran matematika SMP. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMP Negeri 1 Kabila yang diambil berdasarkan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis data yang dilakukan meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa persentasi kemandirian belajar dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan predikat tinggi sebesar 17,39 %, predikat sedang sebesar 56,52%, dan predikat rendah sebesar 26,09 %. Selanjutnya diketahui bahwa faktor-faktor yang paling dominan mempengaruhi kemandirian belajar dalam pembelajaran matematika antara lain, ketidakmampuan siswa dalam menilai diri sendiri serta kurangnya inisiatif diri.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the student’s ability to understand the mathematical concept using adventure game multimedia mobile learning based on the pyramid (PDL) in Grade VIII. This study is qualitative descriptive. The subjects are 40 students of grade VIII which is reduced to 6 students to take the preliminary test of the ability to understand the concept and the interview process seen from the results of the students’ preliminary test. Data collection technique includes preliminary tests, interviews, documentation, and observation. The data analysis applies reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results based on interviews conducted with students and teachers show that students’ conceptual abilities vary widely, where some achieve high abilities, medium abilities, and low abilities. It is also seen from the learning process that the use of adventure game multimedia in the pyramid helps to give its vibes to a more interesting learning process.
