Abstract

Beauveria bassiana fungi and neem extract as botanical insecticide can be combined to get the synergizing effect to control brown planthopper (BPH). This study was conducted to determine the best combination between the spore density of B. bassiana and concentration of neem extract to control BPH effectively. The two factorial treatment consisted concentration of B. bassiana (106  Colony Forming Unit (CFU) and 107 CFU) and concentration of neem extract (5%, 10%, 15%), and control.  The treatments were assigned in Completely Randomized Design with three replications. The data were analyzed using ANOVA and  LSD at 5%. The test was conducted in vitro and bio assay of testing insects, BPH, was conducted using dipping method.  B. bassiana was suitable with neem extract with T value ranged from 78.58- 90.38. The mortality of BPH occurred on day 5 after application. The highest mortality (91.67%) occurred on the treatment with B. bassiana 107 CFU + neem extract 10%. The shortest LT50 was found at the treatment of B. bassiana 106 CFU+  neem extract 15%  (2.74 days) but not significantly different from B. bassiana 107 CFU + neem extract 15% (2.76 days). B. bassiana spores combined with neem extract are assumed to speed up the mortality of BPH by increasing the concentration.

Abstract

Beauvaria bassiana is an entomopathogenic insect that effectively controls brown planthopper (BPH), but will decrease it virulences if nutrients containing chitin and protein is not added. The aim of this research is to find the best method of B. bassiana propagation with the addition of shrimp and cricket flour, both are chitin sources. Isolates were cultured with Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) medium and continued with rice medium. This research method used non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments consisting of control, addition of shrimp flour and addition of cricket flour per treatment each with six replications. The research parameters consist of percentage of mortality, percentage of  conidia rising time, and LT50 test. The chitin sources could increases the growth rate from 0.69 cm per day to 1.449 cm per day and increases the spore density by 4.8×106 CFU (Colony Forming Unit) up to 8.2×106 CFU. Chitin also affects the virulence of B. bassiana in BPH where it can increase the percentage of death starting from 3%until10% and made lethal-time of BPH faster from 0.25 to 0.45 day. There is no significant difference between the sources of chitin between shrimp and cricket flour, so it is more advisable to use cricket flour because it is less expensive. IntisariBeauvaria bassiana merupakan serangga entomopatogen yang efektif mengendalikan wereng batang cokelat (WBC), namun akan mengalami penurunan virulensi bila tidak diberikan nutrisi yang mengandung khitin dan protein. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan metode terbaik perbanyakan B. bassiana yang dilakukan dengan penambahan tepung ebi dan penambahan tepung jangkrik yang merupakan sumber kitin. Isolat dibiakkan dengan medium per- banyakan Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) dan diteruskan hingga perbanyakan beras. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non-faktorial dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan yang terdiri atas kontrol, tanpa tambahan kitin, penambahan tepung ebi dan penambahan tepung jangkrik. Parameter penelitian terdiri persentase mortalitas, persentase waktu munculnya konidia dan uji LT50. Pemberian sumber kitin meningkatkan kecepatan pertumbuhan hingga 0,69−1,49 cm per hari dan meningkatkan kerapatan spora berkisar 4,8×106−8,2×106 CFU (colony forming unit). Kitin juga berpengaruh terhadap virulensi B. bassiana pada WBC dimana mampu meningkatkan persentase kematian 3−10% dan waktu paruh kematian WBC 0,25−0,45 hari lebih cepat. Tidak ada perbedaan yang berarti antara sumber khitin dari tepung jangkrik dan tepung ebi sehingga lebih disarankan untuk menggunakan tepung jangkrik karena lebih murah dan mudah didapat.

Abstract

General Purpose of Appropriate Technology for Fermentation of Cow Urine to Liquid Organic Fertilizer is an effort to increase the added value of livestock wastewater. This activity is a downstream process of the utilization of cattle wastewater from research results to the community, can increase the productivity of added value, quality and competitiveness of technology products processing liquid livestock waste into liquid organic fertilizer based on science and technology. He methods and stages in applying technology to the people used are: the socialization of technology for processing liquid cattle manure into liquid organic fertilizer through fermentation design of cow urine processing equipment for liquid fertilizer production, assistance in the production of liquid organic fertilizer, and packaging of liquid organic fertilizer, reporting, follow-up, monitoring and evaluation. The results of the activity are liquid processing of manure, liquid organic fertilizer, and publications in the mass media and publications in ISSN journals. The liquid organic fertilizer product of this activity has a nutrient content quality above the SNI standard

Abstract

The high price of chilies will have an impact on family income decreases, therefore to resolve the problem accordingly held a program "Community Participation Movement to Utilize Home Garden for Indonesian Family Food Security". Chilli cultivation in the garden of the house, is expected to meet the needs of food and family nutrition and income increase, which in turn can improve the welfare of the family and able to realize food self-sufficiency at the household level. Society needs motivation to cultivate chilli plants in the garden of the house. This activity aims to provide training and skills to the community about chilli farming techniques in the garden of the house. The method used is to provide material theoretically in Pati Kidul Village, Pati Sub-district, Pati Regency about the development of chilli farming business in the garden. In addition, training and mentoring techniques are also planted in the garden to support society income. The result of the activity of dedication to the community of garden utilization in Pati Kidul Subdistrict Pati Regency, the community is able to develop and implement chilli farming technique in the garden, to increase family income. By planting two rawit chili plants and three red curly pepper plants in the garden per house can save expenses for chili shopping for Rp 15.000, - up to Rp. 20,000, - every month after the crops are in production.

Abstract

Telur Asap Lurik ialah hasil inovasi terbaru dari olahan telur asin. Menawarkan keunikan berupa motif telur yang bercorak lurik sebagai ciri khas Indonesia akan budaya batik. Pengasapan memberikan efek gurih dan lebih masir sekaligus menghilangkan bau amis yang biasa ditemui pada telur asin. Sebagai unit usaha yang berkembang di era revolusi industri 4.0 ini, Telur asap lurik atau yang biasa dikenal dengan sebutan Telaslur memiliki tantangan besar dalam mengakses pasar yang kompetitif saat ini. Kegiatan pemasaran yang dilakukan oleh mitra melalui proses penjualan langsung kepada pelanggan dan mengikuti pameran. Model pemasaran dan penjualan produk yang dilakukan membuat akses pasar masih terbatas di wilayah Pati saja. Pemanfaatan teknologi dengan melalui pemasaran online dapat menjadi salah satu solusi untuk menambah profit bagi Bumdes Prasaja terutama kelompok Bina Farm.Metode yang digunakan untuk kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah sosialisasi, pelatihan, implementasi program dan pendampingan pemeliharaan toko online. Mitra sangat antusias dan terbantu dengan adanya implementasi pemasaran online karena pengenalan toko dan kegiatan pemasaran dapat dilakukan dengan mudah dimanapun dan kapanpun melalui media toko online. Selain itu juga pengetahuan mitra atas pengetahuan tentang pemilihan packaging yang baik untuk menambah nilai produk telur asap lurik.

Abstract

Desa Menawan termasuk wilayah Kecamatan Gebog, Kabupaten Kudus, merupakan daerah sentra tanaman hortikultura seperti jambu citra. Faktor pembatas produksi jambu air adalah serangan hama dan penyakit, dengan hama dominan adalah lalat buah dan hama minornya adalah penggerek moncong. Pengendalian hama berbasis AWPM (Area Wide Pest Management) merupakan kegiatan pengendalian hama sekala luas dengan memperhitungkan hamparan ekologis suatu wilayah. Solusi pemecahan masalah mitra dengan menggunakan trapping Lynfield menggunakan atraktan metil eugenol dan berbasis AWPM. Mitra akan berperan aktif selama program berlangsung, metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dengan pegangan modul bergambar, percontohan dan demo plot pada kebun jambu citra. Hasil dari program adalah mitra puas dan mengharapkan keberlanjutan program lain untuk keberlanjutan penerapan AWPM. Kata kunci: jambu citra; hama; AWPM; trapping Lynfield

Abstract

Desa Kandangmas Kecamatan Dawe memiliki potensi yang baik sebagai tempat budidaya jamur tiram putih. Pada awal tahun 2022 TP PKK Kandangmas sudah mulai untuk budidaya jamur tiram putih, namun belum berhasil dan gagal tumbuh. Anggota PKK belum memiliki wawasan dan ilmu tentang budidaya jamur tiram putih yang benar. Solusi yang dapat ditawarkan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan memberikan pengetahuan tentang budidaya jamur tiram putih sehingga dapat meningkatkan produksinya. Pelatihan ini terlaksana melalui kemitraan TP PKK Desa Kandangmas dengan organisasi mahasiswa Himatika (Himpunan Mahasiswa Matematika). Pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan tentang peningkatan produksi jamur tiram putih serta memberikan pendampingan sampai dengan minggu ke-4 setelah pelatihan. Jamur tiram yang dibudidayakan tumbuh pada minggu ke-3. Pada evaluasi terkait pelaksanaan program pelatihan diketahui bahwa anggota TP PKK Kandangmas merasa puas atas pelatihan dan pendampingan yang dilakukan serta berharap ada kelanjutan program berikutnya.

Abstract

The farmer group's success is determined by the management's ability to manage the group and the group member's participation level. The group member's participation in activities organized by farmer groups should start from three stages. There are the planning stage, the implementation stage, and the monitoring stage. This research aimed to determine the group member's participation level in the Waduk Rejo farmer groups. This research was carried out in October 2022 in Wonosoco Village, Undaan District, Kudus Regency. Researchers used a quantitative descriptive research method with primary data types obtained through direct interview techniques with administrators and members of farmer groups. The sampling method was determined using the stratified proportional random sampling method, which consisted of 30 respondents, management, and members of the Waduk Rejo farmer groups. The variables studied were participation variables in the three stages: planning, implementation, and supervision. This study uses a Likert scale as a method of analysis. The findings show that the level of participation of farmer group members is manifested from the activity planning stage, which includes participation in routine farmer group meeting activities, participation in providing advice and input to farmer groups, and participation in preparing work plans of farmer groups which are included in the active category. The implementation phase, which provides for the participation of farmer group activities in the form of irrigation improvements, agricultural infrastructure improvements, and pest control, is included in the active category. The supervision phase, which provides for the supervision of irrigation repair activities, agricultural infrastructure improvement, and pest control, is included in the dynamic type. This research shows that the members of the farmer group have high awareness and concern to develop and advance their farmer group together.

Abstract

Kandangmas Village through the PKK mobilization team conducts a household waste treatment program one of which is by processing it into eco-enzymes. The stages of this program start from surveys and program planning, introduction of mentoring through workshops and training, monitoring evaluation, review of service results, and final report of service. The results of the household waste treatment program as many as 40% stated that this program is beneficial and 32% stated that it is quite important to be useful. Eco-enzyme products have an aroma favored by partners and are used for various purposes, in particular for anti-septic agents and plant nutrient additives.
