Abstract

COVID-19 has an impact on education which requires students to study from home. Teachers carry out teaching remotely via an internet connection so that learning activities that should be carried out at school can still run. The learning process is necessary to conduct live sessions via teleconference. The Big Blue Button is an alternative application to support the online learning process, especially in conducting live sessions. This study aims to analyze the Big Blue Button as a teleconference application to support learning activities online. Implementation is done by integrating the Big Blue Button with Moodle as a Learning Management System (LMS) Moodle. The test was done by conducting a teleconference simulation involving 42 students. The test results show the Big Blue Button can be used to support online learning activities and can be accessed well by 42 students simultaneously using either a PC or a mobile device.

Abstract

Tingkat pendidikan masyarakat di suatu Negara menentukan perkembangan dari Negara tersebut. Peserta didik saat ini merupakan generasi yang secara karakter memiliki perbedaan dengan generasi sebelumnya, sehingga memerlukan metode pembelajaran yang juga berbeda. Penyajian materi secara menarik dan interaktif menjadi salah satu cara untuk mampu menarik perhatian peserta didik selama kegiatan belajar mengajar. Pada kegiatan tersebut terjadi proses transformasi pengetahuan dari guru kepada peserta didiknya. Hal ini menyebabkan perlu adanya media pembelajaran yang tepat agar proses transformasi pengetahuan dapat berjalan dengan lancar. Kegiatan pelatihan yang dilakukan adalah pembuatan media interaktif berbasis power point untuk guru SMA. Pelatihan ini menjadi solusi praktis yang mampu membantu guru dalam menyajikan materi pembelajaran  yang menarik, interaktif, dan berbasis teknologi. Untuk mengukur tingkat keberhasilan kegiatan ini, peserta pelatihan diberikan tugas untuk menyelesaikan sebuah project membuat media interaktif. Dari hasil penilaian yang dilakukan terdapat 78% peserta selesai mengerjakan project sesuai dengan waktu yang ditentukan, sedangkan 22% belum selesai mengerjakan project. Meskipun demikian, kegiatan ini dinilai bermanfaat dan berhasil membantu guru dalam membuat media interaktif dengan memanfaatkan teknologi sesuai dengan bidang ilmunya masing-masing

Abstract

Wireless sensor network is a technology used in supporting monitoring activities both inside and outside environment. Data communication on wireless sensor networks is done wirelessly. The Zigbee protocol is one of the protocols used in data communication on wireless sensor networks as an implementation of XBEE devices. In this study measurement of Zigbee protocol performance on XBEE devices inside and outside environment. The measurement conditions in the room are limited by the wall partition, while the outdoor conditions are line of sight. Measurements were made by sending packet data using XCTU software, by testing distance parameters, packet delay, packet loss, RSSI, and throughput with 84 Bytes packet data size. The results showed that the measurement results of XBEE Pro S2 devices that were carried out indoors were able to communicate with a maximum distance of 30 meters, while the outdoor measurements showed the communication capability of XBEE Pro S2 devices reached a maximum distance of 600 meters.

Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) technology makes it possible to monitor and control environmental conditions and electronic devices remotely via the internet. To be used as a monitoring and control tool, the IoT must be able to be operated in realtime. IoT must be able to provide information about an environmental condition and control electronic devices in real time. In this study a remote lighting control system was built using Firebase as a database that is able to turn on/off lights in realtime. The system is built using NodeMCU ESP8266 and android applications so that it is easier to implement on smartphones. The purpose of this study is to perform a performance analysis of firebase as a database that is able to update data in real time via the internet. Testing is done using various types of network connections such as 3G networks, 4G networks, and Local Area Networks (LANs). The test results show that Firebase supports the application of IoT that is capable of updating data in realtime, but the type of network connection used provides a varied delay effect. The average delay generated on 3G networks, 4G networks and LANs is 3.57 seconds, 1.42 seconds and 1.4 seconds.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a wireless network technology that is capable of scanning and can be used to monitor environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors. One of the devices used in data communication at WSN is XBee. XBee is a device in WSN that uses radio frequency as a data transmission path from one device to another. In sending data, Xbee can be affected by the distance and signal strength between devices. In this research, Xbee communication distance analysis is done outdoors and indoors so as to get data in the form of maximum distance vulnerable from Xbee. The results of this study indicate that the Xbee Pro Series 2B that is measured outside the room is capable of sending data up to a distance of 110 meters, while the Xbee Pro Series 2B device that is measured indoors is capable of sending data up to a distance of 20 meters.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah guru memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam berocok tanam hidroponik dan menjadi salah satu media untuk mengajarkan matematika secara menarik dan menyenangkan pada anak usia dini. Pada kegiatan ini dilakukan pelatihan pembelajaran matematika permulaan melalui bercocok tanam hidroponik kepada guru PAUD. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pelatihan, praktik, dan pendampingan baik secara offline maupun online. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan memberikan pengetahuan bercocok tanam hidroponik dan model pembelajaran matematika permulaan meliputi mencocokkan, mengelompokkan, membandingkan, mengurutkan, dan menghubungkan, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan praktik mulai dari penyemaian bibit, pindah tanam, perawatan, sampai pada panen. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap pembelajaran matematika permulaan melalui bercocok tanam hidroponik mencapai 90%. Disamping itu juga adanya peningkatan ketrampilan guru dalam bercocok tanam hidroponik yang ditunjukkan dari tumbuh kembang tanaman yang baik saat masa panen. Abstract:  The purpose of this community service is that teachers have knowledge and skills in hydroponic farming and become one of the media to teach mathematics in an interesting and fun way to early childhood. In this activity, early mathematics learning training through hydroponic farming was conducted for PAUD teachers. Activities are carried out through training, practice, and mentoring both offline and online. The training was carried out by providing knowledge of hydroponic farming and initial mathematical learning models including matching, classifying, comparing, sorting, and connecting, then continued with practical activities ranging from sowing seeds, transplanting, caring, to harvesting. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in teachers' understanding of early mathematics learning through hydroponic farming reaching 90%. Besides that, there is also an increase in teacher skills in hydroponic farming as shown by good plant growth during the harvest period.

Abstract

Pengelolaan surat khususnya pada instansi kedinasan merupakan hal yang penting untuk dilakukan. Karena segala bentuk pencataan kegiatan berada pada arsip surat masuk maupun surat keluar. Namun selama ini proses pencataan surat pada Desa Kukuh Kecamatan Kerambitan, Tabanan masih dilakukan secara manual. Sehingga proses dari awal surat masuk sampai surat di disposisi membutuhkan waktu yang lama. Berdasarkan permasalah tersebut, kebutuhan yang diperlukan untuk menunjang proses bisnis pengelolaan surat masuk, mekanisme disposisi, serta pembuatan laporan kegiatan adalah membangun sebuah sistem informasi E-Surat. Setelah dibangun sistem informasi E-Surat yang mampu mengelola surat masuk, mekanisme disposisi, serta pembuatan laporan, dilakukan pembinaan kepada SDM pada Pemerintahan Desa Kukuh untuk mengelola dan mengoptimalkan sistem E-Surat. Dengan adanya aplikasi E-Surat, permasalahan yang dialami oleh perangkat Desa Kukuh dapat diatasi. Dimana proses manajemen surat dapat dilakukan dengan lebih mudah, dan proses disposisi menjadi lebih cepat. Dari hasil jejak pendapat yang dilakukan bahwa 100% sudah bisa mengunakan aplikasi E-Surat, namun 75% (6 dari 8 staff Desa) yakin aplikasi E-Surat dapat membantu proses pengelolaan surat.

Abstract

The use of wireless network technology is rapidly increasing at this time causing problems in the security system. Ease of internet access through a wireless network, is also a security hole in the user authentication process. Various smart devices can be used to connect with only one account via the captive portal. In this research, a security system is designed to authenticate hotspot users with daloRADIUS-based telegram notifications. This system integrates hotspot routers, daloRADIUS servers and telegrams to improve the security system during the authentication process. Users are able to monitor the accounts they have used by any device. If there is a suspicious device, the user can also disconnect the device that uses his account to connect to the internet via the telegram application in realtime. Testing is done using the blackbox method by testing the ability of the system to carry out its functions. The test results show that the system is able to function properly and the user can control the use of the hotspot account that is owned through the telegram application in realtime
