Abstract

Tests that have good quality are tests that have an even level of difficulty and can be completed as a whole by every respondent with every level of ability. This article aims to identify and analyze the quality of the items from the formative test material for static and dynamic fluids in physics subjects. This research used a survey with a cross-sectional method. Convenience sampling is a sampling technique used in this research. Then the sample in this study were 52 high school students class XI. The research instrument used a formative test for physics subjects, which were then analyzed using the Rasch model with the help of Winsteps software. The results of this study show that this formative test has a reliability level of 0.88 (very good) with a good level of problem difficulty and a good item fit level compatibility and there are no biased items in measurement so that this formative test is feasible to be used as a standard item in measuring students' abilities in materials of static and dynamic fluid in physics subjects.

Abstract

Islamic religion and character education is education that provides knowledge and shapes the attitudes, personality, and skills of students in practicing Islamic teachings. To test and assess students' understanding of Islamic religion and character education subjects, a test is held. This study aims to describe the characteristics of the final semester examination on Islamic religion and character education based subject on item response theory. This research was explorative descriptive research. The research subjects were class X students in State Vocational High School 1 Depok taken the final semester examination on subjects of Islamic religion and character education. The object of the research was the question device and all student answer sheets. Data analysis used the Rasch model with Program R in describing good grain characteristics based on the level of difficulty. The results of the analysis showed that from the level of difficulty, there were 26 items from 50 items that must be revised. So, tests of Islamic religion character education need to be evaluated to get a test that meets the requirements and can measure students' abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi yang dapat mendukung user/ pengguna dalam memberikan pelayanan sistem informasi manajemen Bengkel Kerja Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (RD). Prosedur penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini terdiri atas beberapa langkah yaitu: analisis kebutuhan, desain produk, pengembangan desain produk, uji coba produk/ implementasi produk, dan penilaian produk. Pada tahap pengembangan desain produk, software diuji kelayakannya dengan cara validasi tes alpha dan tes beta. Selanjutnya dilakukan penilaian produk untuk mengetahui kinerja sistem menurut pengguna yang terdiri dari kepala bengkel, teknisi, guru, dan siswa Bengkel Kerja di SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebuah produk berupa Software yang diberi nama ”Sistem Informasi Manajemen Bengkel Kerja Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan” atau “SIMBA SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta.” Produk yang dibuat dinyatakan telah memenuhi kriteria jelas, konsisten, akurat, dan andal. Rerata skor penilaian secara keseluruhan mencapai nilai 3,77 (baik). THE MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT OF THE VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL WORKSHOPAbstractThe aim of the study is to develop information system which can support the users in handling the management information system of the Vocational High School Workshop.The study is categorized as the Educational Research Development (RD). The research procedure used in conducting this study consists of some stepsi.e.: need analyzes, product design, product design development, product trial/product implementation, and product evaluation. In the development phase of product design, software tested for feasibility by means of validation tests alpha and beta testing. Further product assessment to determine the performance of the system according to user consists of some stepsi.e.: the head of the workshop, technicians, teachers, and students of Workshop at SMK 3 Yogyakarta. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics. The result of this study was the software named Sistem Informasi Manajemen Bengkel Kerja Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (The Management Information System of the Vocational High School Workshop) or “SIMBA SMK 3 Yogyakarta.” Results of the assessment states that the product has met the criteria made clear, consistent, accurate, and reliable. It was indicated by the whole score rate reaching at 3.77(good).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi e-learning Program Keahlian TKJ SMK DIY pasca pembubaran RSBI. Penelitian ini mencakup: (1) daya dukung e-learning,(2) kebermanfaatan e-learning, (3) implementasi e-learning, (4)sumbangan daya dukung dan kebermanfaatan e-learning secara bersama-sama terhadap implementasi e-learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian expost facto. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada lima SMK eks RSBI di DIY yang memiliki Program Keahlian TKJ. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa. Sampel penelitian untuk guru dilakukan dengan menggunakan incidental technique, untuk siswa dilakukan dengan mengacu pada Tabel Krejcie. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket dan wawancara. Uji validitas dengan validitas isi yaitu expert judgement dan validitas konstruk dengan rumus korelasi Product Moment. Uji reliabilitas dengan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) daya dukung e-learning program keahlian TKJ SMK DIY pasca pembubaran RSBI menurut guru dan siswa adalah meningkat; (2) dalam hal kebermanfaatan e-learning sangat bermanfaat menurut guru dan bermanfaat menurut siswa; (3) dalam hal implementasi, e-learning menurut guru adalah meningkat sedangkan menurut siswa adalah tetap; (4) ada sumbangan daya dukung e-learning dan kebermanfaatan e-learning secara bersama-sama terhadap implementasi e-learning. IMPLEMENTATION OF E-LEARNING IN TKJ SMK YOGYAKARTA AFTER THE DISSOLUTION OF RSBIAbstractThis study aims to determine the implementation of learning by using the model of e-learning in TKJ SMK DIY after the dissolution of RSBI. This study includes: (1) the carrying capacity of e-learning; (2) the usefulness of e-learning (3) the implementation of e-learning; (4) the contributions of carrying capacity and usefulness of e-learning simultaneously to the implementation of e-learning. This research is ex-post facto. It was conducted at five ex SMK RSBI in DIY in Computer Technology and Networking (TKJ). The population was teachers and students. The teacher sample was established using the incidental sampling technique, whereas for the students sample using the Krejcie Table. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and interviews. The validity was measured through expert judgment and construct validity with the product moment correlation. The reliability was measured using Cronbach alpha. The data analysis techniques used were the multiple regression analysis.The results show that: (1) the carrying capacity of e-learning is in the increasing category; (2) in terms of usefulness, e-learning is very usefull according to the teachers and useful according to the students; (3) in terms of its implementation, e-learning according to the teachers is in the increasing and according to the students it is in the fixed category; (4) there is contribution to the carrying capacity of e-learning and usefulness together towards the implementation of e-learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) model konstruk peran kepala SMK yang ideal, yakni mencakup dimensi dan indikator peran kepala SMK dan (2) kondisi riil peran kepala SMK di Kota Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post facto, yang dilaksanakan di 8 SMK Negeri di Kota Yogyakarta. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan proportionale random sampling. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 200 sampel. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) dengan pendekatan analisis faktor konfirmatori (Confirmatory Factor Analisys, CFA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Model konstruk peran kepala sekolah memiliki 2 dimensi, yaitu dimensi kepemimpinan dan dimensi manajerial. Kepemimpinan mempunyai 5 indikator, yaitu (a) kecakapan pribadi, (b) kecakapan relasional, (c) kecakapan profesional, (d) kecakapan berorganisasi, dan (e) kecakapan wirausaha. Manajerial mempunyai 4 indikator, yaitu (a) perencanaan, (b) pengorganisasian, (c) penggerakan, dan (d) pengendalian; (2) Kondisi riil peran kepala sekolah hampir sesuai dengan kondisi idealnya, ditunjukkan dengan mean kondisi riil yang sedikit lebih rendah dari mean kondisi ideal. Secara rinci kondisi riil peran kepala sekolah berdasar persepsi guru menunjukkan bahwa 28,36% guru memberikan nilai sangat tinggi, 59,20% guru memberikan nilai tinggi, 11,44% memberikan nilai sedang, 1,00% memberikan nilai rendah, dan 0% memberikan nilai sangat rendah. THE ROLE OF PRINCIPALS OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS IN YOGYAKARTA BASED ON TEACHER’S PERCEPTIONSAbstractThis study aimed to determine: (1) a construct model of the role of ideal principal in the vocational high school, which includes the dimensions and indicators of the role of the principal of vocational and (2) the real condition of the role of the principal of vocational schools in the city of Yogyakarta. This study was an ex-post facto implemented in 8 vocational high schools in the city of Yogyakarta. The population of this study was 983 teachers from 8 vocational schools. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling. The samples were then distributed to 200 samples. The data analysis technique used was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with confirmatory factor analysis approach (Confirmatory Factor Analisys, CFA). The results of this research show that: (1) the construct model of the principal’s role has two dimensions, the leadership dimensions and managerial dimensions. The leadership has 5 indicators, namely (a) the personal capabilities, (b) relational capabilities, (c) professional capabilities, (d) organizational capabilities, and (e) the entrepreneur capabilities. The managerial has four indicators, namely (a) planning, (b) organizing, (c) actuating, and (d) controlling; (2) the real condition of the role of the principal is almost the same as the ideal conditions. It is indicated by the mean of real conditions which is a little bit lower than the mean of ideal conditions. In details, the real condition of the principal’s role based on the perception of teachers shows that 28.36% of teachers give very high value, 59.20% of teachers give high value, 11.44% of them give moderate value, 1.00% give a low value and 0% of them give a very low value.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the profile and how much the level of soft skills of Vocational High School students in Yogyakarta City. This study is survey research. The population of this study was all students grade XI of State Vocational Schools in Yogyakarta City. The sample of this study was 990 students. The data were collected using a questionnaire. The data were then analyzed and presented in a percentage form. The results of the study present that the percentage gain shows the soft skill profile of Vocational High School students in Yogyakarta City in each aspect, namely communication/persuasion skills of 75.19%; performance management skills of 77.22%; self management skills of 70.27%; interpersonal skills of 78.68%; leadership/organizational skills of 77.85%; and cultural skills of 75.60%. Then, the level of soft skills ability of Vocational High School students in Yogyakarta City is generally categorized in medium, which is in the profile range between M-0.5SD and M + 0.5SD (M - 0.5SD x  M + 0.5SD).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan perangkat penilaian autentik mata pelajaran prakarya dan kewirausahaan di SMK, dan (2) mengetahui karakteristik perangkat penilaian autentik mata pelajaran prakarya dan kewirausahaan dari segi validitas, reliabilitas, dan kepraktisan perangkat penilaian yang dihasilkan. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengacu langkah yang dikembangkan oleh Borg Gall yang dimodifikasi menjadi delapan langkah pengembangan. Langkah pengembangan tersebut yaitu studi pendahuluan, perencanaan produk, pengembangan produk, uji coba terbatas, revisi, uji coba lapangan, revisi akhir, dan diseminasi produk. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) perangkat penilaian autentik terdiri dari perangkat penilaian kompetensi sikap berupa lembar penilaian observasi sikap spiritual, lembar penilaian observasi sikap sosial, lembar penilaian diri, dan lembar penilaian teman sebaya, perangkat penilaian kompetensi pengetahuan berupa lembar penilaian tes tertulis dan lembar penilaian penugasan, dan perangkat penilaian kompetensi keterampilan berupa lembar penilaian unjuk kerja; (2) perangkat penilaian autentik yang dikembangkan dinyatakan memenuhi kriteria valid, reliabel, dan praktis. Kata kunci: penilaian autentik, prakarya dan kewirausahaan, SMK DEVELOPING AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT KIT FOR HANDICRAFT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP SUBJECTS AT VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL Abstract This study aimed to: (1) produce an authentic assessment kit for Handicraft and Entrepreneurship subjects at vocational high school and (2) investigate the characteristics of the authentic assessment kit developed for Handicratf and Entrepreneurship subjects from the points of vie of its validity, reliability, and practicality. This research and development adapted the model by Borg and Gall which modified the procedures into eight development stages. The stages were exploration, product planning, product development, preliminary testing, revisions, field testing, final revision, and dissemination. The results were: (1) the authentic assessment kit consisted of the attitude assessment set in the form of observation sheets, self-assessment and peer assessment for attitude competence assessment in the form of spiritual attitude observation sheet, social attitude observation sheet, self-assessment sheet, peer assessment sheet, knowledge assessment kit in the form of written tests and project assessment sheets, and skils assessment kit in the form of performance assessment sheet; and (2) the authentic assessment kit developed was considered fulfilling the criteria of validity, reliability, and practicality. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi penulisan laporan hasil belajar siswa SMK pada pelaksanaan Kurikulum 2013 menggunakan software penulisan rapor online. Penelitian ini merupakan studi deskriptif eksploratif, yang merupakan bagian dari penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model Sharma. Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi dan angket. Partisipan kegiatan pemanfaatan software di SMK sebanyak 9 SMK baik negeri dan swasta di DI Yogyakarta, dengan melibatkan wakasek kurikulum, guru kelas, dan teknisi teknologi informasi dari tiap sekolah partisipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 56% responden menyatakan bahwa software yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas baik dan sisanya 44% responden menyatakan bahwa bahwa software yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas sedang. Beberapa masukan responden untuk perbaikan software yaitu (1) perlu adanya sinkronisasi sistem dengan peraturan pemerintah terbaru (2) penyempurnaan kelengkapan keterangan dalam sistem; (3) perlu adanya kerjasama dengan dinas pendidikan atau instansi terkait; dan (4) pembatasan wewenang siswa. Berdasarkan masukan-masukan tersebut dilakukan perbaikan sehingga software siap digunakan untuk membantu guru SMK di Indonesia menyusun laporan hasil belajar menggunakan Kurikulum 2013.Kata kunci: software penulisan rapor online, Kurikulum 2013, siswa SMK IMPLEMENTATION OF THE USE OF THE LEARNING OUTCOMES REPORT WRITING SOFTWARE OF VOCATIONAL STUDENT ON CURRICULUM 2013AbstractThis study aimed to describe implementation of learning outcomes report writing of vocational students on Curriculum 2013 using the online report writing software. This research was descriptive exploratory study, which was part of the research development by using Sharma’s model. Data collected by observation and questionnaire. Participants in this study involved 9 both public and private vocational school in Special Region of Yogyakarta Province, involving the vice principals of curriculum, classroom teachers, and information technology technicians from each school participants. The results showed that 56% of respondents stated that the developed software has good quality and the remaining 44% of respondents stated that the software developed has medium quality. Some respondents suggestions for improvements to the software, namely (1) the need for synchronization of the system with the newest government regulations (2) improvement of the completeness of information within the system; (3) the need for cooperation with the department of education or other related institutions; and (4) limitation the authority of the students. Based on these suggestions have been conducted improving the system so that the software was ready for use to assist vocational teachers in Indonesia to prepare the learning outcomes reports on Curriculum 2013.Keywords: the online report writing software, Curriculum 2013, vocational students

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (a) mengembangkan sistem tes diagnostik kesulitan belajar kompetensi dasar kejuruan, dan (b) mengetahui kinerja sistem tes diagnostik kesulitan belajar kompetensi dasar kejuruan siswa SMK yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tahun kedua dari tiga tahun yang direncanakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development perangkat lunak. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model modifikasi linear sequential yang disebut juga sebagai classic life cycle atau model waterfall yang memiliki 4 langkah. Analisis kebutuhan sistem dan perancangan sistem telah dilakukan pada tahun pertama. Implementasi dan validasi program dilakukan pada tahun kedua. Validasi sistem dilakukan dengan angket yang diberikan kepada 35 guru SMK untuk melihat aspek kinerja, rancangan, dan adaptabilitas sistem. Analisis data validasi dilakukan dengan statistik deskriptif. Langkah terakhir, evaluasi pemanfaatan sistem, akan dilaksanakan pada tahun ketiga. Sistem tes diagnostik kesulitan belajar kompetensi dasar kejuruan siswa SMK telah dikembangkan dengan arsitektur web client-server menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP, HTML, dan Java dengan perangkat lunak pendukung web server Apache, MySQL, dan web browser Chrome. Sistem ini memiliki tiga kelompok pengguna, yaitu admin, guru, dan siswa. Hasil analisis aspek kinerja, rancangan, dan adaptabilitas sistem secara keseluruhan mempunyai rata-rata penilaian sebesar 3.57 dari skala 1–4, sehingga termasuk kategori sangat baik. Karena itu sistem yang telah dikembangkan dapat digunakan pada penelitian lebih lanjut pada tahun ketiga, yaitu evaluasi pemanfaatan sistem.Kata kunci: kompetensi dasar kejuruan,  tes diagnostik DEVELOPING DIAGNOSTIC TEST SYSTEM OF LEARNING DIFFICULTY OF BASIC VOCATIONAL COMPETENCE OF STUDENTS OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS Abstract This research aimed to: (a) develop a diagnostic test system of basic vocational competency learning difficulties of Vocational High School students, and (b) determine the performance of the diagnostic test system. This study was the second year of a three year research plan. This research was a Software Research and Development. The development model used in this study was a modification of linear sequential model or known as life cycle or the classic waterfall model with 4 steps. Step 1, analysis of system requirements and system design, was done in the first year. Step 2, system implementation and validation, was conducted in the second year. The validation of the system was done by involving 35 teachers who were asked to complete a questionnaire to see performance, design, and adaptability of the system. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics. Step 3, the evaluation system utilization, will be held in the third year. The diagnostic test system of basic vocational competency learning difficulties of Vocational High School students has been developed using web client-server architecture, three programming languages (​​PHP, HTML, and Java), Apache web server, MySQL, and Chrome web browser. The system has three user groups, namely administrators, teachers, and students. The performance, design, and adaptability of the system as a whole have verage score of 3.57 on scale of  1 to 4 and categorized as a very good system. That is why the system can be used in further studies in the third year, i.e. evaluation of system utilization. Keywords: basic vocational competencies, diagnostic test

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode yang lebih akurat dalam mengestimasi kesalahan pengukuran standard setting pada metode Ebel, Bookmark, dan Contrasting group. Data penelitian ini merupakan dokumen Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Sumbawa berupa respon peserta Ujian Nasional Matematika Paket P0C5520 tahun ajaran 2015/2016 yang berjumlah 352 siswa. Guru juga dilibatkan dalam penelitian sebagai panelis dalam Focus Group Discussion  (FGD). Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis melaui tiga tahap.. Tahap pertama yaitu persiapan, kegiatan pada tahap ini mencakup penyiapan data, penggolongan SMP, dan penentuan karakteristik butir. Tahap kedua yaitu FGD dilakukan dalam dua putaran. Tahap ketiga yaitu mengestimasi kesalahan pengukuran dengan menggunakan pendekatan Generalizability Theory dengan bantuan program eduG. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Contrasting group memiliki estimasi kesalahan pengukuran paling kecil dibandingkan metode Ebel dan Bookmark, oleh karena itu, metode Contrasting grouplebih akurat dibandingkan dengan dua metode lainnya.Kata kunci: cut score, standard setting, generalizability theory MEASUREMENT ERROR ESTIMATION OF STANDARD SETTING IN MATHEMATICS COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN SUMBAWA REGENCYAbstractThis research aims to find the most accurate methods in estimating measurement error of standard setting among Ebel, Bookmark, and Contrasting group methods. The data used in this study were 352 students’ responses on Mathematics National Exam Package P0C5520 in the academic year of 2015/2016. The document was collected from the Department of Education and Culture in Sumbawa Regency. Teachers were also involved in this research as panelists in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The data collected were then analyzed through three stages. The first stage was preparation stage, including the activities of data preparation, school classification, and item characteristics analysis. The second stage was two-round FGD. The third stage was estimating the measurement error using Generalizability Theory approach assisted by eduG program. The research result shows that Contrasting Group method produces the smallest measurement error estimation compared to Ebel and Bookmark methods, therefore, Contrasting group method is considered as the most accurate method.Keywords: cut score, standard setting, generalizability theory
