Abstract

The phenomenon of children's song crises, especially those based on the values of politeness, is an important issue that must be addressed wisely. Children's songs are rarely taught at school because children feel bored with the songs that have been delivered when in kindergarten. This causes children to tend to prefer adult songs which, of course, are inadequate for the mental maturity conditions of children. Adult songs, whether they are pop, rock, metal, or dangdut lack the modesty characters needed by children because they are not consumed by children. Charity value characters have not been optimized such as greeting, excuse me, please, apologize, and thank you. This problem is a challenge in the design and creation of children's songs based on politeness values. Song copyright design has stages of identification, design, manufacture, recording, and feasibility testing. The song creation is expected to be one of the modification of the results of the theme of politeness and make it a habit of modesty.

Abstract

Education is an important aspect of human life since it lasts throughout human life. The politeness value must be instilled from an early age in the family, community, and school environment. The phenomenon of the crisis in the value of politeness is a problem that must be resolved. Character education material contained in the National Education Curriculum, especially regarding the value of politeness, should be conveyed through interactive media to facilitate children's learning and understanding, and one of which is through cartoon/animation films. Accordingly, the above reason is the background for research on the Social Character Analysis of Politeness Value in the Nussa and Rara Films. The purpose of this study, in general, is to analyze the politeness values in the animated series Nussa and Rara and their benefits for cultivating the values of politeness in children. The method in this research was through content analysis by discussing in-depth sentences and scenes in animated films in the form of words, sentences, pictures, cut scenes, paragraphs, and so on. There were ten aspects of politeness character based on the analysis of Nussa and Rara, such as (1) Respect for older people; (2) Receiving something always with the right hand; (3) Do not speak dirty and harsh words; (4) Not being arrogant; (5) Dress modestly; (6) Not spitting carelessly;( 7) Appreciating the efforts of others; (8) Respect the opinions of others; (9) Giving, and (10) Do not interrupt in conversation.

Abstract

Reading is one of the most important skills in the language. Before someone has writing skills, they should have reading skills first. However, let alone being skilled, growing interest in reading itself is still quite difficult.   Literacy culture cannot be found in most schools in Indonesia, including in SDN 5 Keresek. The application of the SSR (Sustained Silent Reading) method in several studies can overcome the problem of reading.  Therefore, this study aims to find out whether the SSR (Sustained Silent Reading) method can increase the reading interest of students of grade IV SDN 5 Keresek. The research approach that is used is qualitative with case study methods. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the SSR (Sustained Silent Reading) method effectively increases the reading interest of students of grade IV SDN 5 Keresek in Garut Regency. This increase is seen gradually in the observation of the first cycle and the second cycle.  The increase in reading interest in each of these cycles can occur because sustained silent reading helps encourage students to focus on following reading activities with books that have been handpicked by them. With this method, students are not easily distracted because everyone reads their book quietly and calmly.

Abstract

Pelestarian kebudayaan yang bersumber pada ciri khas kedaerahan seharusnya menjadi potensi yang besar yang bisa dikembangkan di wilayah Kabupaten Pangandaran. Daerah wisata yang tidak pernah sepi pengunjung merupakan nilai tambah pemanfaatan ciri khas daerah yang dibuat sebagai media pelestarian kebudayaan yang menjadi awal terbentuknya nilai perekonomian baru di Kabupaten Pangandaran. Salah satu contoh potensi yang belum ada di Kabupaten pangandaran adalah batik khas Pangandaran. Potensi ciri khas Kabupaten Pangandaran bisa menjadi sumber penciptaan motif batik Kabupaten Pangandaran. Perkembangan motif batik dengan karakter suatu daerah merupakan salah satu potensi pengembangan motif batik yang baru (kontemporer) melalui pengembangan motif kedaerahan. Selain itu, tujuan pembuatan karya batik ini dapat menjadi sebuah ajang pengenalan ciri khas wisata dari Pangandaran sebagai salah satu alternatif buah tangan di Kabupaten Pangandaran, sekaligus juga dapat melestarikan budaya batik dalam kancah dunia industri dan pariwisata. Upaya penciptaan batik terapan dan pengembangan desain batik merupakan langkah strategis dalam rangka memperkuat identitas dan keunggulan industri kreatif Indonesia sekaligus upaya melestarikan batik sebagai warisan budaya khususnya bagi siswa SD. Batik yang dibuat adalah batik yang ramah anak, bukan batik dengan mempergunakan malam canting yang bersifat panas yang memerlukan pengawasan orang dewasa melainkan batik dengan pemanfaatan alginat (rumput laut) yang banyak ditemui di Kabupaten Pangandaran sebagai alternatif malam dingin pembuatan batik dengan motif ciri khas Kabupaten Pangandaran. Batik alginat dengan motif ciri khas Kabupaten Pangandaran bukan hanya untuk kebutuhan dalam proses pembelajaran saja, melainkan langkah awal menuju sekolah proyek kewirausahaan sehingga bisa untuk dikembangkan menjadi sekolah percontohan usaha kreatif untuk memajukan perekonomian khususnya di Kabupaten Pangandaran bagi siswa SD.
