Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how effective the cycle learning model is towards student mathematics learning achievement by using puzzle mathematics media. This research is an experimental quantitative study carried out in class IV Gondosari Public Elementary School. The design of this research is the static group pretest-posttest desaign. The average mathematics achievement test results were 57.6 for the control class and 67.5 for the experimental class. The prerequisite test shows that the data are normally distributed and homogeneous. The research hypothesis test shows: (1) there is a difference in the average test of learning achievement (knowledge and skills) of mathematics between the experimental class and the control class that is 3,291 1,997; and (2) puzzle cycle assisted learning cycle cannot meet the classical effectiveness criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to develop multimedia based on Powtoon in geometry for the fifth grade of SD Negeri Condongcatur. This research was also conducted to determine the appropriateness of the appropriate learning media for elementary school students, especially on geometry. This type of research is Research and Development with a 4-D development model, namely Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. However, this research is limited to the Development stage only. The subjects of this research are fifth grade students of SD Negeri Condongcatur. The data collection techniques used were observation and interviews for initial needs analysis and questionnaires for the validation process. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. This study involved one material expert who was a lecturer in Elementary Mathematics Education and one media expert who was a lecturer in Educational Technology as a validator. The results of the validation of material experts on this learning media obtained an average of 96% with a very feasible category. While validation from media experts, this learning media obtained an average result of 92,5% with a very feasible category. The overall validation results obtained by this learning media quantitatively amounted to 94,25% and qualitatively with a very feasible category.

The fact that mathematics is difficult is not able to stop interested (students) to become mathematics teachers. This is a basic asset that they have seen the opportunities behind challenges. This article aims to provide an overview of prospective mathematics teacher candidates regarding the opportunities, hopes, demands, and challenges of becoming a mathematics teacher. To accommodate these objectives, the article is divided into three main sections related to the question: Why choose a mathematics education study program? What does it take to be a math teacher? What needs to be prepared to become a mathematics teacher? These three questions are answered in their respective sections in the hope that they can give an idea of ??what needs to be done, what has been done, and how the students of mathematics teacher candidates follow the lectures.

The principal's paradigm is that the boss must change in the current era to become a servant to the school community. This is very much needed in improving the quality of managed education units. The purpose of this study is to describe the activities carried out by school principals in preparing for distance learning to obtain a policy on the evaluation seen. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data analysis using Miles and Huberman's steps. The research subject is the principal of the basic education unit in Yogyakarta. A total of 27 people. The results obtained, principals in elementary school education units in Yogyakarta have implemented distance learning following established guidelines. However, in the aspect of the care program, more action is still needed. Abstract

This study aims to describe the numeracy competency profile of elementary school teachers in Ponjong District, Gunungkidul Regency, viewed from demographic factors. The demographic factors used to describe, there were gender, type of school (public or private), length of teaching, age, and whether the teacher in question was certified as an educator. This numeracy competency was essential to explore because this skill was one of the most critical primary education goals; it helped realize successful advanced learning, social interaction, meeting the necessities of life, and global employment. This study used a design-based research (DBR) approach combined with professional learning community (PLC) and participatory action research (PAR), in which a sample of forty teachers was drawn equally from each group of teachers working groups (KKG). The data were taken using test instruments and analyzed using inferential statistical tests. The results showed that from the gender aspect, there was no difference in numeracy competence for both men and women. The second, based on the type of school, there was no difference in numeration competence between public and private schools. The third, from the length of teaching, it was found that teachers with a duration of education under five years had a higher numeracy score. The fourth, in terms of age, there was no difference in numeracy ability from twenty-five to fifty-six years. The conclusion, from the aspect of educator certification, was fascinating. Although not significant, there was an average difference in the numeracy ability test between teachers who were certified educators and those who were not certified, where teachers who did not have an educator certificate had a higher test average than those who already had an educator certificate.

Abstract

Online games that are overgrowing and a favorite of children have had positive and negative impacts. The existence of the media causes many problems. If parents are negligent in supervising children, it will undoubtedly result in game addiction. Children who are already addicted to online games will experience several accompanying effects. These effects affect children's motivation, learning achievement, and social skills. Even though these things should exist in children in their current development period, this study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the intensity of online games and parents' attention to the social skills of elementary school children. This type of research is quantitative research with a survey method. The subjects of this study were 246 elementary school students spread across the city of Yogyakarta. Sampling from the study population was carried out using a proportional random sampling technique, namely the method of taking samples from members of the people using random methods without regard to strata in the population. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Data analysis technique using Regression statistical techniques. The study's results stated that the relationship between online games and social skills, parental attention and social skills, and the relationship between the two towards social skills were fragile.

Abstract

Pestalozzi was a Swiss 18th-century education reformer, whose contributions of conceptual thinking on education are still relevant today. Education develops the 3 H (Heart, Head, Hand), meaning that human beings must improve their spiritual attitudes and social attitudes, intellectual abilities, and skills. Pestalozzi also contributed thoughts on schools for democracy, teacher education programs, and humanism. This conception of Pestalozzi's thought, is very relevant for education in Indonesia today. The independent curriculum is colored by Pestalozzi's educational thinking, this is reflected in student-oriented education and the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile which instills human relationship with God, human relationship with man, and human relationship with the surrounding nature.
