Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh latihan squat menggunakan free weight dan gym machine terhadap kekuatan, power, dan hypertrophy otot; dan menguji perbedaan pengaruh latihan squat menggunakan free weight dan gym machine terhadap kekuatan, power, dan hypertrophy otot. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain two group pretest-posttest design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih berdasarkan teknik random sampling berjumlah 32 orang. Instrumen untuk mengukur kekuatan menggunakan back and leg dynamometer merk Takei buatan Jepang. Instrumen untuk mengukur power menggunakan Jump Duration of Fright (JDF) seri TKK 5114 buatan Jepang, satuan sentimeter. Instrumen untuk mengukur lingkar otot paha menggunakan meteran dengan satuan sentimeter. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis multivariat pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada pengaruh yang signifikan latihan squat menggunakan free weight terhadap kekuatan, power, dan hypertrophy otot, (2) ada pengaruh yang signifikan latihan squat menggunakan gym machine terhadap kekuatan, power, dan hypertrophy otot, dan (3) ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara latihan squat menggunakan free weight dan latihan squat menggunakan gym machine terhadap kekuatan, power, dan hypertrophy otot. Persentase kenaikan nilai pretest dan posttest kekuatan, power, dan hypertrophy otot menunjukkan kelompok latihan squat menggunakan free weight lebih baik daripada kelompk gym machine. The influence of squat practice using free weight and gym machine on the strength, the muscle and the hypertrophy of the muscle AbstractThe study aims at testing the influence of squat training using free weight and gym machine on the strength, the power and the hypertrophy of the muscle and at testing the differences between the influence of squat training using free weight and the influence of squat training using gym machine on the strength, the power and the hypertrophy of the muscle. The study is an experiment with two group pre-test-post-test design. Then, the samples for the study were selected based on the random sampling technique and the total number of the respondents was 32 people. The instrument for measuring the strength of the muscle was back and leg dynamometer Takei made in Japan while the instrument for measuring the power of the muscle was Jump Duration of Fright (JDF) series TKK 5114 made in Japan with centimetre unit. Furthermore, the instrument for measuring the circle of the tight muscle was a gauge with centimetre unit. The results of the study show that: (1) the squat training using the free weight has significant influence on the strength, the power and the hypertrophy of the muscle; (2) the squat training using the gym machine has significant influence on the strength, the power and the hypertrophy of the muscle; and (3) there has been significant difference between the squat training using the free weight and the squat training using the gym machine on the strength, the power and the hypertrophy of the muscle. The increasing percentage from the pre-test score into the post-test score in the strength, the power and the hypertrophy of the muscle shows that the training group that performs the squat training using the free weight has better performance than the group that performs the squat training using the gym machine.

Abstract

This study presents an overview of Malaysian adolescent field hockey players’ expectancy beliefs, subjective values and sportspersonship attitude. We aimed to translate and validate two questionnaires i.e., Expectancy Value Model Questionnaire (EVMQ) and Multi-dimensional Sportspersonship Orientations Scale (MSOS) to Malay language. The EVMQ and MSOS were translated into the Malay language using the back translation method. A total of 230 respondents (15.40 ± 2.17 years) were recruited for this study.  The result of analyses are EVMQ-M (M = 5.38 ± .95) and MSOS-M (M = 3.64 ± .40) respectively. Content validity was checked by experts in the fields for content conformity and culture bias whereas face validity was confirmed by ten participants. Both questionnaires showed high internal consistency (reliability); EVMQ-M (α = .94) and MSOS-M (α = .82). Data fits were checked using the Structural Equation Model; EVMQ-M (χ² (df = 39) = 84.07, CFI = .97, GFI = .94, TLI = .95, RMSEA = .07, ChiSq/df = 2.16) and MSOS-M (χ² (df = 146) = 321.76, CFI = .92, GFI = .87, TLI = .90, RMSEA = .07, ChiSq/df = 2.20) also showed good construct validity. The translated Malay version EVMQ-M and the MSOS-M are reliable and valid instruments to assess Malaysian adolescent field hockey players.

Abstract

Latihan Interval (LI) merupakan salah satu metode latihan untuk meningkatkan dan mempertahankan kemampuan/kecepatan berlari dalam jarak dan waktu tempuh yang sudah ditentukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan gambaran respons fisiologis dan biolemis Kadar β-endorfin terhadap LI dengan berbagai macam intensitas latihan (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah) pada sprinter dan non- sprinter Metode. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu yang terdiri dari tiga tahap pelaksanaan pengukuran. Subjek penelitian ini adalah sprinter UKM 17 orang dan kelompok non-sprinter 15 orang. Setiap kelompok dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok yang lebih kecil berdasarkan intensitas latihan, yaitu kelompok latihan intensitas tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pengukuran karakteristik fisik berupa TB, BB, dan tes kecepatan lari 100 m serta pengambilan sampel darah sebanyak 3 kali 5 ml, untuk mengukur respons β-endorfin pada kondisi intensitas tinggi, sedang dan rendah sebelum. Data diambil sebelum diberi LI, selama LI, dan setelah istirahat 30 menit. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan metode ELISA dengan uji statistik anova. Hasil dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjuk bahwa dalam kelompok sprinter dan non sprinter dan non-sprinter tidak terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna terhadap peningkatan kadar β-endorfin. Akan tetapi terdapat peningkatan bermakna persentase kadar β-endorfin pada kelompok intensitas tinggi dibandingkan kelompok intensitas sedang dan rendah. Baik untuk kelompok sprinter maupun non-sprinter. Waktu istirahat 30 menit setelah LI belum cukup untuk mengembalikan kadar β-endorfin ketingkat awal. Molecular response endorphins against interval exercise with various intensity in sprinter AbstractInterval Exercise (LI) is one of the training methods to improve and maintain the ability or and speed of running in the distance and the time that has been determined. This study aims to find a depiction of physiological and biochemical responses of endorphins levels to LI with various intensity of exercise high, medium, and low on sprinter and non-sprinter. This research uses a quasi-experimental method which consists of three stages of a measurement implementation. The subjects of this research are the sprinter Activity sports unit of college Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta consist of 17 people and the non-sprinter group of 15 people. Each group is divided into three smaller groups based on the intensity of the exercise are high-intensity group, medium, and low. The study was conducted by measuring physical characteristics in the form of HB, WB, and 100m run a speed test and blood sampling as much as 3 times 5 ml to measure the response of endorphins in high, medium, and low-intensity constancy. The data were taken before being given LI, during LI, and after 30 minutes break. The analysis was done using the ELISA method with an ANOVA statistic test. The result and the conclusion. The results showed that in the sprinter and non-sprinter groups there was no significant difference in elevated endorphin levels. However, there was a significant increase in the percentage of endorphins in high-intensity groups compared to the medium and low-intensity groups, both for sprinter and non-sprinter groups. Rest time 30 minutes after the LI is not enough to restore the level of endorphins to the initial level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan metode pembinaan cabang bulutangkis antara Yogyakarta, Indonesia dengan Ottapalam, India. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi lapangan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pemain di CSN Badminton Academy India yang berjumlah adalah 32 atlet dan atlet di PB Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 28 atlet.  Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan yaitu human instrument atau yang dikenal sebagai peneliti kualititatif. Peneliti merupakan instrumen itu sendiri, dengan kata lain peneliti juga perlu “divalidasi” seberapa jauh peneliti kualitatif siap melakukan penelitian yang selanjutnya turun ke lapangan (Sugiyono, 2011: 222). Adapun jenis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu data sekunder dan data primer dari kedua klub. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta dan CSN Badminton Academy India memiliki jenis latihan shadow yang sedikit berbeda. CSN Badminton Academy India menggunakan teknik lompatan saat kembali ke posisi awal. Sedangkan PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta tidak menggunakan teknik lompatan. (2) PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta memiliki atlet yang patuh terhadap peraturan karena persaingan yang ketat. Sedangkan CSN Badminton Academy India memiliki atlet yang kurang patuh terhadap jam berlatih yang disebabkan jauhnya tempat latihan. (3) CSN Badminton Academy India memiliki susunan kepengurusan yang baik serta memiliki bukti fisik. Sedangkan PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta kurang melengkapi bukti fisik kepengurusan.  AbstractThis study aims to compare the method of developing badminton branches between Yogyakarta, Indonesia and Ottapalam, India. This research uses descriptive method, the design used in this study is field observation. The population in this study were 32 players at CSN Badminton Academy in India and 28 athletes in PB Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta. Sampling in this study using human instruments or known as qualitative researchers. The researcher is the instrument itself, in other words, the researcher also needs to be "validated" to what extent the qualitative researcher is ready to conduct research which then goes to the field (Sugiyono, 2011: 222). The types of data used in this study are secondary data and primary data from the two clubs. The results showed that (1) PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta and CSN Badminton Academy India have a slightly different type of shadow training. CSN Badminton Academy India uses the jump technique when returning to starting position. Whereas PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta does not use jumping techniques. (2) PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta has athletes who abide by regulations because of intense competition. Whereas CSN Badminton Academy India has athletes who are not obedient to the practice hours due to the training grounds. (3) CSN Badminton Academy India has a good management structure and physical evidence. Whereas PB. Wiratama Jaya Yogyakarta did not complete the management's physical evidence.

Abstract

Management of learning devices is an important factor supporting the success of physical education teachers in teaching, many previous studies have revealed this but there are still many limitations, especially in the discussion of teacher motivation and performance has an influence on the management of learning tools. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of performance and motivation of physical education teachers on the management of learning devices. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research, using survey methods. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires. The population in this study were sports and health physical education teachers at State and Private Vocational Schools in Sleman Regency. The study sample was 66 teachers. The research data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis with percentages. The results showed that F shows F count of 40.307 greater than F table at a significance level of 5% of 3.1428 (40.3073.1428), this indicates that teacher performance (X1) and teacher motivation (X2) are jointly the same contributes significantly to the learning device management variable (Y).
