Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KALKULUS BERBASIS MASALAHAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model pembelajaran kalkulus berbasis masalah (MPK-BM) yang layak. Pengembangan MPK-BM menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp dengan prosedur pengembangan terdiri atas: studi pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan atau pembuatan prototipe, dan tahap penilaian. Kelayakan MPK-BM mengacu pada kriteria kualitas produk pengembangan yang dikemukakan oleh Nieveen yakni valid, praktis, dan efektif. Pengembangan MPK-BM melibatkan empat orang ahli dan dua orang praktisi. Uji coba MPK-BM melibatkan 71 orang siswa Kelas XI IPA di SMA Negeri 2 Baubau dan dua orang guru matematika. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri atas: instrumen untuk menilai kevalidan yang meliputi lembar validasi MPK-BM dan perangkat pendukung pelaksanaan pembelajaran, instrumen untuk menilai kepraktisan yang meliputi lembar penilaian kepraktisan dari guru dan siswa, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, serta lembar penilaian keefektifan yaitu tes prestasi belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MPK-BM yang mencakup sintaks, sistem sosial, prinsip reaksi, sistem pendukung, dan dampak pembelajaran, serta perangkat pendukung pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP dan LKS) telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif.AbstractThis study was aimed at generating a problem-based calculus learning (PBCL) model. This study used Plomp development model consisting of a preliminary study, development or prototyping phase, and assessment phase. The feasibility of PBCL refers to the criteria of product development qualities, proposed by Nieveen, namely validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The study involved 4 experts and 2 practitioners. The try-out involved 71 students of grade XI of the natural science class and 2 math teachers in State Senior High School 2, Baubau. The instruments for assessing product validity were validation sheets and supplementary learning media; for assessing practicality were assessment sheets for teachers and students and observation sheets of learning implementation; and for effectiveness were test sheets of the learning achievement test. The results show that the PBCL model which includes syntax, social system, reaction principle, support system, and impact of learning, along with supporting learning media (RPP and LKS) have fulfilled the validity, practicality, and effectiveness criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa SMP kelas VIII di eks Karesidenan Kediri dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika model TIMSS. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling strata. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 465 siswa yang berasal dari sekolah strata tinggi, sedang dan rendah berdasarkan nilai ujian nasional matematika. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dengan instrumen soal matematika model TIMSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika model TIMSS pada sekolah strata tinggi termasuk kategori tinggi, pada sekolah strata sedang dan rendah termasuk kategori sedang. Ditinjau dari domain konten bilangan, pada sekolah strata tinggi dan sedang termasuk kategori tinggi, pada sekolah strata rendah termasuk kategori sedang. Domain aljabar pada sekolah strata tinggi dan sedang termasuk kategori sedang, pada sekolah strata rendah termasuk kategori rendah. Domain geometri pada sekolah strata tinggi termasuk kategori tinggi, pada sekolah strata sedang dan rendah termasuk kategori sedang. Domain data dan peluang pada sekolah strata tinggi dan sedang termasuk kategori tinggi, pada sekolah strata rendah termasuk kategori sedang. Ditinjau dari domain kognitif pengetahuan pada sekolah strata tinggi dan sedang termasuk kategori tinggi, pada sekolah strata rendah termasuk kategori sedang. Domain penerapan pada sekolah strata tinggi termasuk kategori tinggi, pada sekolah strata sedang dan rendah termasuk kategori sedang. Domain penalaran pada sekolah strata tinggi termasuk kategori sedang, pada sekolah strata sedang dan rendah termasuk kategori rendah. The ability of junior high school students at ex Kediri Residency to solve the mathematic problems of TIMSS modelsAbstractThis research is aimed to describe the ability of  8th grade junior high school student at Ex-Kediri Residency to solve the mathematic problems of TIMSS models. The sampling was stratified random sampling. Number of sample are 465 students. Samples were some students of 8th grade at  Ex-Kediri Residency. These school include high, average, and low category based on the score in national examination of mathematics subject. The data collection was by tests. The research results showed that the ability of junior high school student at high stratum schools belongs to high category, at medium and low stratum schools belongs to average category. Judging from the numbers domain, at high and medium stratum schools belongs to high category, at low stratum schools belongs to average category. For algebra domain, at high and medium stratum schools belongs to average category,at low stratum schools belongs to low category. For  geometry domain, at high stratum schools belongs to high category, at medium and low stratum schools belongs to  average category.  For data and chance domain, at high and medium stratum schools belongs to high category, at low stratum schools belongs to average category. Judging from the cognitive knowing domain, at high and medium stratum schools belongs to high category, at low stratum schools belongs to average category.  For applying domain at high stratum schools belongs to high category, at medium and low stratum schools belongs to  average category. for reasoning domain at high stratum schools belongs to average category, at medium and low stratum schools belongs to low category.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Inkuiri digabung dengan problem posing yang valid, praktis, dan efektif terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, meliputi silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP), dan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) pada pelajaran matematika Madrasah Aliyah kelas X semester genap.Penelitian ini menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada siswa. Silabus, RPP, dan LKS yang dihasilkan memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, efektif. Kevalidan produk terlihat dari hasil uji validasi ahli yang menyatakan bahwa produk mancapai kriteria valid. Kepraktisan produk terlihat dari hasil pengisian lembar penilaian guru yang menunjukan bahwa produk telah memenuhi kriteria sangat baik; hasil pengisian lembar penilaian siswa menunjukan bahwa produk mencapai kriteria sangat baik; dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran bahwa persentase minimal keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 85%. Keefektifan produk terlihat dari perolehan hasil tes berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa yang menunjukan sekitar 76,47% ( 75%) siswa telah mencapai nilai KKM dengan rata-rata nilai 74,88 dan adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor pretest dan posttest. Kata kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi DEVELOPING MATH LEARNING SOFWARE WITH INQUIRY APPROACHAND PROBLEM POSING TO DEVELOP HIGHER-ORDER THINGKING SKILLSAbstract This study aims to produce a learning material that is valid, practice, and effective to develop higher order thinking skills, including syllabus, lesson plan (LP), and student workhsheet (SW) in Islamic high school math class X second semester.This study resulted in the learning sets of mathematics which are able to develop higher order thinking skills. Syllabus, LP, and SW which have met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Expert validation test states that the product reaches a valid criterion. Practicality of the product seen from the results of the teacher assesment sheets shows that the product has met the criteria of very good; results of the students assesment form indicate that the product reaches the criteria of very good; and observation sheet feasibility study shows that there is a minimum percentage of 85% feasibilty study. The effectiveness of the products seen from acquisition of competence achievement test results of students shows approximately 76.47% ( 75%) of the students have reached the KKM with average value of 74.88 and increase average score between prestest and posttest. Keywords: developments, learning devices, higher level thinking skills

Abstract

The quality of mathematics learning in Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi were in a low category based on the research findings from the Institute of Educational Quality Assurance of South Sulawesi in 2011. It affects students to be unwilling to be involved in the process of mathematics learning. This study aims to evaluate the process of learning mathematics in the elementary educational level at Bantaeng Regency. The model of evaluation used in this study is the Stake Countenance Model consisting of three steps of evaluation, namely antecedent, transaction, and outcomes. The subjects of this study were 12 teachers at state elementary schools in Bantaeng Regency assessed by three raters. There were 363 midterm score tests from 12 schools. The instruments used in this study were observation sheet, lesson plan sheet, assessment documentation sheet, and interview guideline. This study used a quantitative research approach supported by qualitative data. The result of the study shows that (1) the lesson plan of mathematics subject is in a good category (93.45%), (2) the learning process is in the good enough category (67.07%), (3) the document of students assessment is in the good enough category (71.34%), and (4) most students in each school do not pass the school standard.

Abstract

This research is aimed to explore the cultural elements especially in Sasak architectures in Lombok Island such as a home living (Bale), worship building (masjid), lumbung (sambi) in ethnomathematics point of view. This research uses qualitative approach with cognitive (anthropology cognitive). The interviewees are the experienced custom leader and humanists who has conducted the research on Sasak society. Meanwhile, the data collection method used the participant, observation and documentation. Data analysis on this research is not only based on the researcher is interpretation but also the idea structure of the society.  This research shows the evidence of sensitivity on the use of numbers practiced by Sasak ancestor long time ago in doing the measurement using their anthropometric ability (Ethnomathematics). The architecture products of sasak society also describe that sasak society is more focus on the process than the final products itself which describes the consistency in conducting role and cultural device which control the desire of individual construction.

Abstract

Marriage is an essential part of life for most people. In the Javanese tradition, great attention is paid to the weton of the couple through Javanese Primbon. It predicts the fate of the couple in the marriage. This prediction of the Javanese outcome after the wedding has some numerical values. Therefore, this study aims to uncover these numerical values using ethnomathematics. This research uses a qualitative method. Analyzing the Javanese Primbon documents is meant to explore the numerical value of Javanese people. Also, analyzing the data using the Javanese Primbon documents was not only based on the interpretation of the researcher but also the result of discussions with cultural and mathematical experts. This study proposes numerical values such as number bases, remainder theorem, modulo, and modulus of the congruence in formal mathematics, which is associated with matchmaking using Javanese Primbon.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of the Active Knowledge Sharing model with the scientific approach to the self-confidence of fourth grade elementary school students. This research is a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design design. This study used two experimental groups (Active Knowledge Sharing Model) and two control groups (ordinary learning). The population in this study consisted of an experimental group consisting of SDN Balangan 1 and SDN Sendangharjo, and the control group consisted of SDN Balangan 2 and SDN Kebonagung. Instruments used in collecting data in the form of non-test instruments in the form of a questionnaire to measure students' confidence level. Test data normality using Kolmogrov_Smirnov and homogeneity test using Box's M. Data test was analyzed using independent sample t-test. Result of Independent Sample t-test above, obtained by significance value of dependent variable of confidence sig. 0.05, ie 0.008 0.05. This means that H0 is rejected and Ha accepted, the conclusion is that there is a difference of influence between the experimental class and the control class on the student's self-confidence

Abstract

This study was aimed to develop and produce an assessment instrument of mathematical learning results based on multiple intelligence. The methods in this study used Borg Gall-Research and Development approach (Research Development). The subject of research was 289 students. The results of research: (1) Result of Aiken Analysis showed 58 valid items were between 0,714 to 0,952. (2) Result of the Exploratory on factor analysis indicated the instrument consist of three factors i.e. mathematical logical intelligence-spatial intelligence-and linguistic intelligence. KMO value was 0.661 df 0.780 sig. 0.000 with valid category. This research succeeded to developing the assessment instrument of mathematical learning results based on multiple intelligence of second grade in elementary school with characteristics of logical intelligence of mathematics, spatial intelligence, and linguistic intelligence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika kelas X bagi siswa yang mengalami hambatan belajar dalam pembelajaran matematika, dan (2) mendefinisikan kualitas perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berdasarkan aspek: kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang dikembangkan oleh S. Thiagarajan, Semmel, D.S. dan Semmel, M.I. Penelitian ini menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika kelas X bagi siswa yang mengalami hambatan belajar dalam pembelajaran matematika. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan valid, yang ditunjukkan oleh klasifikasi secara kualitatif adalah “sangat baik” untuk dosen ahli 1 serta “cukup” untuk dosen ahli 2; praktis, yang ditunjukkan oleh hasil penilaian kepraktisan oleh guru berada pada kategori “sangat baik” untuk RPP dan “baik” untuk LKS, hasil penilaian kepraktisan oleh siswa yaitu berada pada kategori “baik”, dan rata-rata persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran kegiatan guru dan siswa di atas 90%; dan efektif ditinjau dari hasil tes akhir siswa dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar mencapai 70,58%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran geometri SMP yang berkualitas baik/layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran dan mendeskripsikan kualitas hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran tersebut. Kualitas hasil pengembangan ditentukan berdasarkan pada kriteria dari Nieveen, yaitu valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Model pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dalam penelitian ini diadaptasi dari model pengembangan Dick Carey. Tahap-tahap yang dilakukan meliputi (1) analisis kebutuhan dan perumusan tujuan; (2) pengembangan produk; (3) validasi, uji coba, dan revisi; serta (4) kajian produk akhir. Uji coba dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu (1) uji coba/validasi ahli; (2) uji coba skala kecil; dan (3) uji coba skala besar/lapangan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran geometri SMP yang berkualitas dan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Masing-masing komponen perangkat pembelajaran tersebut memenuhi kriteria sangat valid, sangat praktis dan efektif. Kata kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, geometri SMP, penemuan terbimbing
