Abstract

This study aimed to know the quality of undergraduate students' teaching competencies as teacher candidates. The subjects of this study were 54 teachers of 32 vocational schools. The data was obtained from the Educational Practice Program (EPP) in Vocational High School (VHS) using online questionnaires via Google Form. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach with survey research. Data were analyzed using normality tests and product-moment correlation analysis. The results indicated that the undergraduate students' competencies as candidate teachers were more dominant in social competency than personal, pedagogical, and professional competencies. Each competency had a highly strong relationship with others so that there was a significant attachment. Therefore, the undergraduate students as candidate teachers need to develop competencies to improve their quality in EPP. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas kompetensi mengajar mahasiswa sebagai calon guru. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 54 guru dari 32 Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Data diperoleh dari mata pelajaran pada Program Praktek Pendidikan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dengan menggunakan angket melalui Google Form. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survey. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas dan analisis korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi mahasiswa sebagai calon guru lebih dominan pada kompetensi sosial dibandingkan kompetensi kepribadian, pedagogik, dan profesional. Setiap kompetensi memiliki hubungan yang sangat kuat dengan yang lain sehingga terjadi keterikatan yang signifikan. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa sebagai calon guru perlu meningkatkan kompetensi untuk meningkatkan kualitasnya di EPP.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bukti validitas konstrak dari instrumen yang digunakan untuk kegiatan evaluasi outcome dari lembaga pendidikan guru vokasional. Instrumen ini terdiri atas 3 jenis instrumen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Kriteria yang digunakan untuk melihat kecocokan model adalah: p-value, normed Chi-square (X2/df), RMSEA (Root Mean Square Error of Approximation), RMR (Root Mean-square Residual), GFI (Goodness-of-Fit Index), NFI (Normed Fit Index), Non-Normed Fit Index (NNFI), dan CFI (Comparative Fit Index). Bukti validitas instrumen dapat dilihat pada besarnya faktor loading dan t-value.  Jika loading factor lebih besar dari 0,3 dengan t-valuelebih besar dari 1,96 maka butir pernyataan dapat dikategorikan valid. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh hasil: (1) pada instrumen I terdapat 26 butir yang dinyatakan valid; (2) pada instrumen II terdapat 23 butir yang dinyatakan valid; dan (3) pada instrumen III terdapat 18 butir yang dinyatakan valid.Kata kunci: validitas konstrak, evaluasi, lembaga pendidikan guru vokasional CONSTRUCT VALIDITY OF OUTCOME EVALUATION INSTRUMENT IN VOCATIONAL TEACHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONAbstractThis research aims to get the construct validity evidence of the outcome evaluation instrument of vocational teacher education institution. The instrument consists of 3 kinds of instruments. The analysis technique that is used to test the construct validity is confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Abstract

Energi terbarukan merupakan energi alternatif untuk masa depan. Potensi akan energi terbarukan di Indonesia sangat besar, salah satunya adalah Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Air (PLTA). Nilai daya untuk di bawah 500 W merupakan masuk kategori picohidro. Aliran sungai yang ada di setiap kampung di Indonesia menjadi potensi besar dalam mengembangkan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Picohidro. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh debit air terhadap tegangan DC pada pembangkit listrik tenaga picohidro. Instalasi pada pembangkit ini terdiri dari; saluran masuk air (inlet), turbin, generator, indikator tegangan, dan saluran buang air (output). Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimen dan dilaksanakan di Sungai Pelang, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi saluran masuk (inlet) dan nilai saluran buang (outlet) nilai debit air akan semakin besar. Semakin besar nilai debit air maka semakin besar Tegangan yang dihasilkan. Nilai debit dan perbedaan elevasi sangat berpengaruh terhadap tegangan output picohidro.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to know the stages of manufacture, the performance and the development of solar panel control charging devices using arduino nano for commercial electric bicycle. Development of solar panel control charging device is expected to be used in utilizing solar thermal energy as a source of energy on a commercial electric bike with parameters generated from solar panels and battery charging. The result of this research is a solar panel charging control device that is used to control the input voltage from the solar panel to the battery used as a power source for the electric bicycle. The result are, the average battery charging power using 100 Watt Peak (WP) solar panel was 39.03 Watt with 160 minutes, the average efficiency of 85.82% and the yield of the battery voltage from 11 Vdc to 12.5 Vdc. While the average power charging battery using 300 WP solar panel is 57,43 Watt with time 50 minutes, average efficiency of 88.48% and battery voltage from 11 Vdc become 12,2 Vdc. Average percentage error of measurement parameter control charging solar panels below 10%. Keywords: control charging, solar panels, electric bike AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tahapan pembuatan, unjuk kerja dari pengembangan alat control charging panel surya menggunakan arduino nano untuk sepeda listrik niaga. Pengembangan alat control charging panel surya ini diharapkan dapat digunakan dalam memanfaatkan energi panas matahari sebagai sumber energi pada sepeda listrik niaga dengan parameter parameter yang dihasilkan dari panel surya dan pengisian aki. Hasil dari pembuatan proyek akhir ini berupa alat control charging panel surya yang digunakan untuk mengontrol tegangan masukan dari panel surya menuju aki yang dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber tenaga sepeda listrik niaga. Hasil pengujian, daya rata rata pengisian aki menggunakan panel surya 100 Watt Peak (WP) yang diuji adalah 39,03 Watt dengan waktu 160 menit, rata-rata efisiensi 85,82% dan hasil tegangan aki dari 11 Vdc menjadi 12,5 Vdc. Sedangkan daya rata rata pengisian aki menggunakan panel surya 300 WP yang diuji adalah 57,43 Watt dengan waktu 50 menit, rata-rata efisiensi 88.48% dan tegangan aki dari 11 Vdc menjadi 12,2 Vdc. Rata-rata persentase kesalahan parameter pengukuran alat control charging panel surya dibawah 10%. Kata Kunci : control charging, panel surya, Sepeda Listrik Niaga

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to produce a battery charging device on an electric bicycle automatically using a boost-converter. Then a comparison is made to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of the devices made with the previous charging method, which uses an inverter and a 48V battery charger. The stages include: (1) needs analysis, (2) design, (3) manufacturing, and (4) testing. The design consists of designing a control chain with an Arduino microcontroller, designing a power circuit with Boost-Converter, and box design. The test was conducted at the Department of Electrical Engineering Education Faculty of Engineering UNY. The results of this study in the form of a battery charging device on an electric bicycle automatically with a boost-converter. After testing and comparison with a charging system that uses a 48V inverter and battery charger, the advantages and disadvantages can be known. The disadvantage lies in the reading of sensors that are less stable, relatively lower efficiency, which is an average of 72.15% compared to systems that use Inverters and 48V battery chargers at 84.57%. The advantage is that discharging using a boost converter is relatively longer at 43 minutes, has a control circuit that works automatically, so the energy received by a 12V battery will be effectively channeled to a 48V battery without having to be controlled by the operator. Also available is an external charging port to anticipate if the electrical energy from solar panels is less than optimal.Keywords: boost-converter, microcontroller, electric bicycle AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan alat pengisian baterai pada sepeda listrik secara otomatis menggunakan boost-converter. Selanjutnya dilakukan perbandingan untuk mengetahui kefektifan dan efisiensi dari alat yang dibuat dengan metode pengisian sebelumnya yaitu yang menggunakan Inverter dan charger baterai 48V. Adapun tahapannya meliputi : (1) analisis kebutuhan, (2) perancangan, (3) pembuatan, dan (4) pengujian. Perancangan terdiri dari perancangan rangkain kendali dengan microcontroller Arduino, perancangan rangkaian daya dengan Boost-Converter dan perancangan box. Pengujian dilakukan di Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Elektro, FT, UNY. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa sebuah alat pengisian baterai pada sepeda listrik secara otomatis  dengan boost-converter. Setelah dilakukan pengujian dan perbandingan dengan sistem pengisian yang menggunakan Inverter dan charger baterai 48V, dapat diketahui kelebihan dan kelemahannya. Kelemahannya terletak pada pembacaan sensor-sensor yang kurang stabil, Efisiensi yang relatif lebih rendah yaitu rata-rata sebesar 72,15% dari pada sistem yang menggunakan Inverter dan charger baterai 48V sebesar 84,57%. Adapun kelebihannya yaitu pengosongan menggunakan boost-converter relatif lebih lama yaitu sebesar 43 menit,  memiliki rangkaian kendali yang bekerja secara otomatis, sehingga energi yang diterima baterai 12V akan secara efektif disalurkan ke baterai 48V tanpa harus dikendalikan oleh operator. Selain itu tersedia port pengisian eksternal untuk antisipasi jika energi listrik dari panel surya kurang maksimal.Kata kunci: boost-converter, microcontroller, sepeda listrik

Abstract

Community College Malaysia is one of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Institutions in the country that plays an important role in steering the country's aspirations to become a developed nation by 2020. It focuses mainly on the supply of human capital among the youth future worker fit with skills, competencies and efficient industry requirements. However, the income earned varies widely based on the industry's ability to provide employment. The income factors led to an increase or decrease in the number of graduates' employability. There are more than ten categories of programs offered by community colleges and the numbers of employability relating to the demand from industries providing job opportunities to skilled workers. Therefore, this study aims to conduct a descriptive analysis of the earnings and employment of Community Colleges graduates based on occupational field and gender. The data were obtained by the survey of Community Colleges graduates in 2018. The study population consisted of 7725 graduates and 367 respondents were involved as samples who answered their respective job status in graduate's employability survey provided by the ministry. The result shows that most respondents received a salary between RM1501-RM2000, while the rest of the graduates earned between RM1001-RM1500 and RM1001-RM1500. In the gender factor of employment, female graduates exceed compared to male graduates on the income scale of RM1000 and below. However, at higher income levels of RM1501-2000 and above, male graduates earn more than their counterparts, the female graduates. The findings of this study are expected to be a future guide and encouragement, especially for community colleges to study skill programs that are in line with industry requirements and produce a competent and dynamic human capital to enhance the country's economy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) mendapatkan pola  penerapan pembelajaran berbasis lesson study untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa dan (2) mengetahui kompetensi yang dicapai mahasiswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis lesson study pada mata kuliah Analisis Sistem Tenaga Listrik. Penelitian ini  dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil tahun akademik 2008/2009 di Program Studi Teknik Elektro D3 FT UNY pada mata kuliah Analisis Sistem Tenaga Listrik. Sistem pembelajaran yang diterapkan dengan lesson study model Lewis.  Teknik pengambilan data dengan kolaborasi, observasi, kuesioner, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Instrumen menggunakan lembar observasi, angket, pedoman wawancara dan kamera. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif, analisis refleksi kolaboratif  oleh kelompok dan  pakar. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh antara lain: (1)  Pola  penerapan pembelajaran berbasis lesson study pada mata kuliah Analisis Sistem Tenaga Listrik yang dapat meningkatkan pencapaian kompetensi bagi mahasiswa, (2) Kompetensi yang dicapai mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Analisis Sistem Tenaga Listrik yang dalam perkuliahannya menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis lesson study ditandai dengan jumlah mahasiswa yang meraih nilai di atas atau sama dengan 70 sebanyak 20 orang atau 66,66 %.

Abstract

A quality management system for vocational educational institutes is a system aimed at ensuring the quality goals of vocational education are achieved to meet the quality standards and develop the quality work. In practice, teachers play a vital role because the key elements in a quality assurance system are strongly related to teachers especially the learning process as the spearhead of the success of vocational education. In addition, most activities undertaken in vocational education involve teacher participation. Therefore, teachers hold a great responsibility in the successful implementation of the educational quality management system. The main point to be emphasized is how a teacher has a suitable common understanding of quality. Understanding the quality drives all activities undertaken by teachers to be quality improvement oriented.

Abstract

In farming, clean water is a basic need to wash food, drink, bathe and clean the cow shed. Provision of clean water is by means of an electric water pump. Meanwhile, electricity prices tend to rise gradually, consequently monthly the electricity bill for farming needs rise. Another thing, the power outage in the countryside sometimes happens in a long duration. The stability of clean water availability at the location of livestock groups is disrupted. One of the best solution approaches to overcome these problems is to create and develop applied products related to renewable energy and energy independence, namely solar power supply unit. This power supply unit uses 2 150WP 12 Volt solar panels, 2 solar charge controllers, 3100Ah batteries and a DC to AC 1500W inverter. The result of the development of this solar powered power supply unit is about 300 Watt. Its main function is to turn on the water pump during the day and in addition it is able to turn on the led light for street lighting at night. Based on the observations, this unit has been operating well and effectively for about 1 month and successfully assisted members of the cow farm groups in the provision of clean water

Abstract

ABSTRACT:Electricity consumption is influenced by activities, habit, life style and equipment used by human (Susanti, 2014) thus it is necessary to find the relationship between the individuals’ participation in conserving the energy and the total energy used. This study aims to find out how far the involvement of students, teaching staff, and administrative staff at Faculty of Engineering Yogyakarta State University in saving the energy. This research used quantitative approach. The data was collected using questionnaire and documentation. The result shows that the participation of people at Faculty of Engineering Yogyakarta State University in conserving the energy falls in medium level which is 60 %.ABSTRAK:Pemakaian energi listrik dipengaruhi oleh tingkah laku, kebiasaan konsumen, gaya hidup dan peralatan (Susanti, 2014) sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengungkap sejauh mana partisipasi dari civitas akademika terhadap program konservasi (penghematan) energi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) mengetahui tingkat partisipasi mahasiswa; (2) mengetahui tingkat partisipasi tenaga pendidik; dan (3) mengetahui tingkat partisipasi tenaga kependidikan dalam program konservasi energi di lingkungan Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi, yang selanjutnya dianalisis secara persentase. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa tingkat partisipasi civitas akademik FT UNY dalam program konservasi energi masih kategori sedang, dengan rata-rata 60 %.
