Abstract

Widiyantoro et al., as Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) scientists, predict the worst possibility that in the south of Java Island, a megathrust earthquake with a maximum magnitude of up to 9.1 on the Richter scale and a tsunami of up to 20 meters. So understanding and literacy about mitigation of the megathrust earthquake and tsunami need to be improved so that the South Coast of Java Island (Pansela) community has prepared for these disasters. This study aims to analyze the understanding and literacy of the Pansela community of the earthquake and tsunami disaster against the predictions made by ITB scientists. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a total of 57 community respondents living in Pansela. The study results show that most communities believe in this prediction and have fewer mitigation efforts against this disaster. However, the respondents still did not know the specifics of the megathrust earthquake. They considered an earthquake in the south of Java Island related to the megathrust earthquake. Therefore, it is necessary to increase community understanding and literacy regarding mitigation efforts against megathrust earthquakes and tsunami.

Abstract

Engklek, is one of the traditional games that have many physics concepts to explore, has the potential to be applied in Ethno-STEM-based physics learning. So far, no study has been carried out on exploring the physical concept of this game. Hence, this study aims to explore the concepts of physics in traditional Engklek game and its potential applications in Ethno-STEM-based physics learning. This study uses a qualitative research method with an exploratory design. Data collection using three methods: observations, interviews, and literature studies.Data were analyzed descriptively through three stages: data reduction, presentation, and verification or inference. The results show that the main physics concepts contained in this game are parabolic motion; work and energy; momentum and impulse; and equilibrium of rigid body. This game also can be applied to physics learning because it is relevant to the 2013 curriculum and the Ethno-STEM review. Therefore, the Engklek game can be more meaningful, fun, interactive, and contextual physics learning media. This research implies that the results of exploration and analysis of its potential application to Ethno-STEM-based science learning can be tested for future research or applied directly to physics learning. It is hoped that this learning can increase students' learning motivation while preserving the local wisdom game of Engklek

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on the business sector, MSMEs, and the tourism sector which had to experience a decline in income during this Covid-19 pandemic. One of the affected areas is Mojokerto Regency. Mojokerto Regency has many tourism sectors that are known by everyone. Based on these problems, a solution is needed that can overcome economic problems in the tourism sector and MSMEs in Mojokerto. The purpose of writing this paper is to describe the concepts and features on Dolenkuy.com, analyze the predictions of the advantages and success of the Dolenkuy.com platform, and analyze the implementation techniques of the Dolenkuy.com platform. The research method used in this paper is a literature study and uses a descriptive writing method with a qualitative approach. From the writing of this paper, it is found that Dolenkuy.com is an innovation in the form of a website-based digital platform that functions as a virtual tourism and e-market place during the Covid-19 pandemic era. The features found on this platform are virtual dolen menu, buying souvenirs, travel history, to the contact us menu. This platform is predicted to excel in the fields of digitizing tourism and MSMEs, income, marketing, superior locations and products, as well as a wide range of tourists. And the last is the implementation technique of this platform starting from the problem identification stage to the platform evaluation and development stage with an estimated implementation time of 5.5 months.

Abstract

The research analyzes the top 100 cited publications in STEM education in the last twenty years. The research objectives are to analyze the publication type, year, sources publishing, authorship pattern, institution, country, and keywords pattern and review these top-cited publications using bibliometric analysis. The metadata used in this research is the Scopus database. The study result shows that among these top 100 publications, the most common type of publication is journal articles. Most of these publications were conducted at four-year intervals from 2014 to 2017, with an average citation per paper of 70.75. Belland is recognized as the most productive author, whereas National Research Council has become the institution with the most citations. The most contributed institutions included Purdue University and the University of Minnesota. The USA has led over highly cited publications, followed by Australia and the Netherlands. The research areas in these papers mainly emphasize education, STEM, STEM education, engineering education, and every stem aspect. The review result focus on research on the conceptual framework of STEM integration, STEM-based learning media, challenges to STEM, perspectives on STEM education, and the impact of Covid-19 on STEM education. This research implies finding research novelties about STEM education through the results of mapping and visualization patterns based on keywords that often appear.

Abstract

E-learning is one of the trends in physics learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, its implementation has advantages and disadvantages that must be considered. Therefore, this study will examine the profile of e-learning physics during the pandemic from the perspective of students and teachers. The research is a mixed-method embedded design with a sample of 209 students and 9 physics teachers. Data collection techniques used were surveys and structured interviews, while data analysis techniques were carried out descriptively. The study results indicate that students tend not to find it easy to implement e-learning, with the most obstruction being network instability and the lack of internet quota. Students also do not experience an increase in learning motivation when using e-learning. Students' most frequently used platforms are Google Classroom, WhatsApp, Google Meet, and Zoom. Students rated e-learning as a whole with an average score of 6.61. Some of the teacher's responses are consistent with the student survey results. According to the teacher, planning to implement e-learning has its respective advantages and disadvantages. E-learning is one of the alternative learning activities that can be carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic or even post-pandemic, along with the increase in digitalization and information technology in the education system.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on education in Indonesia. Therefore, teachers need to build a learning system using media and learning models following current pandemic conditions. In this regard, the study is focused on analyzing effective learning models and media to provide their advantages and disadvantages when used during online learning so that teachers can choose a learning system that suits students' needs and conditions. This research uses literature study methods with qualitative descriptive analysis. There are 12 journals that have been successfully obtained and reviewed from the title, research results, and conclusions. The findings showed that suitable online learning models are student-centered learning models such as PjBL, PBL, DL, ORNE, Cooperative TGT, and guided inquiry. In addition, the use of ICT-based interactive media can improve learning outcomes, motivation and creativity of learners, also support the implementation of online learning well.
