Abstract

Evaluation of learning in Citizenship Education courses must be developed in a variety of ways with online-based learning evaluations so that students can improve learning outcomes. Conventional evaluation methods can affect student learning outcomes, so educators must always innovate in learning activities. This study aims to determine the use of online-based Wondershare Quiz Creator evaluation media that can increase the average value of Citizenship Education courses for S1 Catering students at Yogyakarta State University. This study used an experimental method consisting of two groups, namely the Pre-test and Post-test groups. The sample was selected using cluster random sampling technique and multiple-choice test with a total of 20 questions. Data analysis shows that there is a significant difference between the results of the Pre-test and Post-test t, the average value of the Post-test t is 79.50 which is higher than the average value of the Pre-test of the experimental group is 69.30. The results of the research in the field prove that there is an effect of using conventional evaluation methods with online-based evaluations with online-based Wondershare Quiz Creator evaluation media which is known from the results of students' pre-test and Post-test scores on the evaluation of the Citizenship Education course.

Abstract

This study is aimed at describing (1) Pancasila-based character education in pesantren-based secondary schools, (2) the strategy employed by teachers in developing Pancasila-based character education, and (3) the obstacles faced by teachers in developing Pancasila-based character education. This research was descriptive in natureby employing qualitative approach. Research subjects were principals and teachers of Civic Education in several pesantren-based secondary schoolsin Yogyakarta Special Region. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The collected data were analysed inductively.The results show that (1) the Pancasila-based character education is developed through the policy made by the principals and the teachers who developed the learning program, (2) the teacher’s strategy in developing Pancasila-based character educationis conducted by integrating intra and extracurricular programs, and (3) the obstacles faced by teachers in developing Pancasila-based character education are related to the fact that not all teachers are able to integrate Islamic values developed in pesantrento the values embodied in Pancasila in teaching and learning process. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) pendidikan karakter kebangsaan Pancasila di sekolah dikembangkan melalui kebijakan yang dibuat kepala sekolah dan program pembelajaran yang dikembangkan guru; (2) strategi yang dilakukan guru dalam pengembangan karakter kebangsaan Pancasila melalui integrasi dalam program intra dan ekstrakurikuler; dan (3) kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam pengembangan pendidikan karakter kebangsaan yaitu belum semua guru mampu mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai keislaman yang dikembangkan di pesantren dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam pembelajaran. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare Indonesian and Malaysian elections in terms of (1) legal basis, (2) organizing institution, (3) implementation, (4) political party function, and (5) public participation. It was a library study using a qualitative approach. Documentation was used to gather information. The data were analyzed descriptively using the Miles and Haberman model. The data were collected, grouped, reduced, interpreted, and concluded. The data were interpreted based on concepts, theories, and critical analysis. Cross-checking was used as the data validity technique. The results of this study are (1) Indonesia has hosted 12 elections, some of which have been influenced by political dynamics, including Law No. 12 of 2003 concerning Elections for the 2004 Election, Law No. 10 of 2008, and Law No. 7 of 2017 concerning Elections. Malaysian elections are governed by two laws: (a) the Malaysian Law on General Election Deed 1958 and (b) the Malaysian Law on General Election Error Act 1954. (c) P.U.(A) 293/2002 concerning the General Election (Voter Registration) Regulation last amended by P.U.(A) 106/2012; (d) P.U.(A) 185/2003 concerning Election Regulation (Post Elections) 2003; (e) P.U.(A) 386/1981 concerning General Election Regulations (Execution of Grand Elections) 1981, last amended by P.U. (A) 134/2013. (2) General Election Commission (KPU) is the name of the election organizers, whereas General Election Institute is the name of the election organizers in the New Order Era (LPU). Suruhanjaya Choice Raya is the Malaysian election organizer (SPR) (3) The election system in Malaysia is simpler and more efficient. Malaysia uses the District Election System which is based on the location of the election district, not the population. The election system in Indonesia uses the proportional election system. (4) Malaysia is a constitutional monarchy and adheres to a parliamentary democracy system. Both Indonesia and Malaysia adhere to a multi-party system. (5) The average voter turnout in Malaysian elections is 85 percent, while voter turnout in Indonesia is only 74 percent. In general, Malaysian elections are worse than those in Indonesia. In Malaysia, election organizers tend to favor government parties. Suruhanjaya Choice Raya Malaysia (SPR) barred Diaspora residents in other nations from using the post in 2018, claiming that the Diaspora favored opposition parties.

Abstract

Sejak reformasi yang dikumandangkan tahun 1998 menyusul jatuhnya pemerintah Orde baru dibawah Presiden Soeharto, tetapi sampai sekarang belum ada tanda-tanda bahwa korupsi dapat dikurangi apa lagi diberantas. Korupsi sudah melanda Negara ini sejak lama dan dalam skala besar dan hamper menyentuh semua aspek kehidupan. Betapa seriusnya kejahatan korupsi, khususnya di Indonesia berbagai komisi anti korupsi sudah dibentuk sejak tahun 60-an sampai dengan 90-an. Tetapi semuanya kandas karena tidak mendapat dukungan dari pemerintah dan lembaga-lembaga penegak hukum itu sendiri terlibat dalam judicial corruption. Dukungan dari lembaga-lembaga penegak hukum baru dapat diperoleh kalau ada kemauan dari pemerintah untuk memberantas korupsi. Tidak adanya kemauan dan kesungguhan untuk memberantas korupsi telah menyebabkan upaya pemberantasan korupsi lumpuh di tengah jalan. Para penegak hukum yang seharusnya memelopori agenda pemberantasan korupsi, justru terjebak dalam praktik korupsi sendiri. Dalam rangka memberantas korupsi di Indonesia diperlukan aparatur penegak hukum yang terlatih, jujur, berintegrasi dan profesional. Agar aparat-aparat penegak hukum tersebut dapat membongkar perkara-perkara korupsi. Dengan aparat penegak hukum dapat membongkar kasus-kasus korupsi diharapkan agenda pemberantasan korupsi akan bergulir dan didukung oleh masyarakat yang memang sudah lama mengharapkan adanya tindakan tegas dari para penegak hukum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pendidikan karakter kebangsaan Pancasila yang sesuai untuk diterapkan di sekolah menengah (SMP) berbasis pesantren. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu para guru Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn) SMP berbasis pesantren yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sekolah yang dipilih adalah SMP yang memang kondusif untuk pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter bangsa Pancasila dan memenuhi kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Pengumpulan data dengan angket, wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul pendidikan karakter kebangsaan Pancasila yang dikembangkan menghasilkan modul pembelajaran yang berkualitas dengan kriteria sangat valid menurut ahli materi dengan skor empiris 112 dan ahli media pembelajaran dengan skor empiris 124. Hal itu memiliki makna bahwa modul pendidikan karakter kebangsaan Pancasila sudah layak digunakan pada uji coba setelah dilakukan revisi berdasarkan saran dan masukan para ahli.------------------------------------------------------------Development of the Pancasila national character education module in boarding school-based junior secondary schoolsThis study aims to develop a Pancasila national character education module that is suitable to be applied in boarding-based secondary schools (SMP). The research uses Research and Development model. The subjects in this study were the teachers of the Islamic Boarding School-based Pancasila and Citizenship (PPKn) chosen purposively.  The selected school is a junior high school that is indeed conducive to the implementation of Pancasila nation character education and fulfills predetermined criteria. Data collection with questionnaires, interviews, observation, and document analysis. The data analysis technique uses qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the Pancasila national character education module developed produced a quality learning module with very valid criteria according to content expert judgment with 112 empirical scores and learning media expert judgment with a 124 empirical score. It means that the Pancasila national character education module is appropriate for use in trial after revision based on expert advice and input.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan hubungan kekeluargaan  masyarakat Minangkabau yang merantau ke Kota Yogyakarta dan realisasi peran mamak Minangkabau yang merantau di Yogyakarta terhadap kemenakannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menggali domain-domain yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan pokok ”Sejauhmana peran mamak perantauan Minangkabau di Yogyakarta terhadap kemenakannya”,  yang selanjutnya akan dijabarkan menjadi  beberapa fokus permasalahan penelitian yang terbagi dalam beberapa domain. Merantau ke   Yogyakarta mampu  menginspirasi    perantau  asal Minangkabau untuk membentuk keluarga baru yang berbasis   keluarga inti (nuclear family), menggantikan ikatan lama yang berbasis pada keluarga luas matrelinial.  Saat berada dalam lingkaran keluarga luas matrelinialnya,  seorang suami tidak mempunyai posisi urgen  terhadap anaknya   karena sang anak menjadi tanggung jawab  mamak. Namun terbentuknya keluarga inti dan  menguatnya peran harta pencaharian menyebabkan posisi kaum laki-laki semakin kuat di depan istri dan anak-anaknya.  Akibat dari semakin dominannya peran harta pencaharian pada satu sisi, dan  semakin minimnya  harta pusaka  menopang kehidupan keluarga inti,  menyebabkan hubungan mamak-kemenakan yang diikat secara fungsional oleh harta pusaka semakin melemah. Merantaunya  keluarga Minangkabau  ke Yogyakarta  sedikit banyak telah  melemahkan simpul-simpul ketaatan pada adat Minangkabau.  Dengan meninggalkan teritorial hukum adat dan  melepaskan  diri dari ketergantungan pada harta pusaka, semakin  melemahkan  hubungan mamak-kemenakan yang secara fungsional diikat oleh harta pusaka.  Bisa dipastikan bahwa peran   mamak terhadap kemenakan tidak lagi bisa direalisasikan secara maksimal, utamanya dalam hal: a) mempersiapkan kemenakan mejadi pemimpin di lingkungan  paruik, kaum dan suku, b) menentukan arah pendidikan dan membiayai pendidikan  kemenakan, c) mengatur perjodohan kemenakan, mencarikan jodoh dan membiayai perhelatan perkawinan kemenakan-----------------

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan latar belakang masyarakat Minangkabau yang terhubung dengan kerabat asal mereka. Bagi lelaki Minangkabau, bermigrasi berarti suatu keharusan, perjalanan awal untuk menjadi orang dewasa, mempersiapkan kehidupan yang lebih baik. Beberapa alasan untuk bermigrasi adalah (a) untuk kehidupan yang lebih baik; (b) untuk belajar; (C) perlawanan sistem matrilineal. Faktanya bahwa walaupun mereka merantau, mereka masih terhubung dengan kerabat aslinya. dalam beberapa bentuk, seperti bantuan keuangan untuk sepupu mereka, menjaga warisan leluhur, dan penggalangan dana untuk mengembangkan tanah leluhurnya. Selain itu, jejaring sosial baru didirikan untuk memahami tantangan baru dan untuk mengatasi kejutan budaya baru di tanah rantau.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This essay was aimed at describing the background of Minangkabau society sustains their connection with homeland. For Minangkabau man, it is an obligatory task to migrate, the initiation to become fully adult, preparing for better life. The reasons for migration are (a) for a better life; (b) to learn; (c) to resist against matrilineal system. The fact is that they are still attached to their origin with some forms such as financial support for their cousin/nephew, to preserve sacred heritage, and to conduct fund-raising for their homeland. Abstract

In this reform era crimes occur more and more. The level of public consciousness towards law nowadays decreases. That situation impacts to the decrease the role of Government. In the  ideal dimension, state apparatus should be example to increase legal consciousness among stu­dent. But in fact, thry also disobey the law. Spread of corruption proves the situation.  There are to wqys then to resolve the situation. First, educational program to increase legal consciousness among society--from is urgentlY necessary. Second, legal consciousness among society needs contribution and support from State Apparatus, especiallY through their attitude toward the law.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of online-based Wondershare Quiz Creator evaluation media. This study used an experimental method consisting of two groups: the Pre-test and Post-test t groups. The population of this study amounted to 40 students. The sample was selected using a cluster random sampling technique. The data collection method in this research is the test. The technique used to analyze the data is inferential statistics. Data analysis showed a significant difference between the results of the Pre-test and Post-test t. the mean value of the Post-test was higher than the mean value of the Pre-test of the experimental group. The research results in the field prove that there is an effect of using online-based evaluations with online-based Wondershare Quiz Creator evaluation media. The use of online-based Wondershare Quiz Creator is more practical for creative fans that can increase student enthusiasm and learning outcomes. Therefore, the use of online-based Wondershare Quiz Creator evaluation media can be a solution to improving student learning outcomes. Abstract

Pancasila and Civic Education Subjects (PPKn) in junior high schools are prerequisite subjects with abstract material. To facilitate understanding of the values of Pancasila, it is necessary to develop learning media to make it easier for students to understand and apply the values of Pancasila as the way of life of the Indonesian people. This research aims to develop learning media that can be used by teachers in teaching Pancasila and Civic Education in junior high schools. This study uses a research and development method to develop learning media ROTELA (wheel guess the image of Pancasila). This research was implemented in State Junior High School in Yogyakarta City. The research subjects were Pancasila and Civic Education teachers and VIII grade students. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative analysis. The development research follow the steps of Borg and Gall. The results showed that the media based on ROTELA were developed very feasible to be used in teaching Pancasila dan Civic Education in junior high school for Pancasila as the way of life of the Indonesian people. The results of the validation of the material experts showed 90%, and media experts 96.6%.
