Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitianini untuk mengetahui Kadar Kholesterol dan Perecahan Karkas Merpati Lokal yangDipotong pada Umur yang Berbeda. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Lokasi Peternakan Merpati CV UstadzAmanah di Guntung Manggis Banjarbaru. Merpati yang digunakan berjumlah 20 ekor. Adapun perlakuanumur potong terdiri atas : 3,4,5, 6 minggu serta lebih dari 4 bulan. Variabel yang diamati meliputi kadarkholesterol daging, perecahan karkas merpati meliputipersentase daging, dan tulang. Hasil penelitianmenunjukan bahwa umur potong yang berbeda mempengaruhi terhadap kadar kolesterol daging dankomposisi karkas (persentase berat tulang dan persentase berat daging) merpati lokal yang dipeliharasecara intensif.Semakin bertambah umur merpati maka kadar kolesterol daging dan persentase berat dagingmerpati lokal semakin meningkat. Sebaliknya persentase berat tulang mengalami penurunan. Kata kunci : Kholesterol, Perecahan karkas, Umur potong, Merpati lokal

Abstract

Sawahan Village is one of the Transmigration villages in the Cerbon sub-district, Barito Kuala district, South Kalimantan province. This village has a vast expanse of rice fields and 90% of the people work as farmers. Sawahan village has an area of 5,950 ha with productive land of 1,200 ha which is mostly in the form of peatland. The land of the sawahan village is located near the tidal river flow containing low pH with high acidity levels ranging from 3,5 to 4,5. Land in the area is a type of peat land (black brown), so that not all plants, livestock and fish can grow / live except plants, fish, livestock that can adapt to this condition. Peatlands have their own difficulties in managing them. Some fruit plants and horticulture can live after being adapted to the condition of the land for a long period of time but given a considerable amount of lime to overcome high acidity and disease resistance. With this, many transmigrant farmers have difficulty inhandling the land because some species of plants and fish cannot develop properly. For this reason a new breakthrough is needed so that this problem can be overcome and farmers are able to plant crops, fish and livestock specific to peatlands. Some of the results of the Uniska Agriculture Faculty trial which tried several plants that were adaptive to the conditions of peatlands such as Kweni Anjir, Limau Kuit, Rambutan Antalagi and Kasturi. In addition to fruit trees, there are also horticultural plants that have been tried on these peatlands, namely long beans, purple eggplant, bitter melon, tiyung chili (very spicy mini chili). For fish there are fragrant fish (cork) and catfish. Whereas livestock with Alabio ducks are resistant to peatland conditions. In addition tofruit trees, there are also horticulture plants that have been tried on these peatlands, namely long beans, purple eggplant, bitter melon, tiyung chili. The problem in this activity is how farmers make efforts in transmigrant areas by selecting mina plants, fish and livestock that are suitable for cultivation on peatlands, how to cultivate mina-plants and livestock for peatland species to get maximum results and how to pioneer marketing efforts production so that it can really increase the income of transmigrant farmers in Sawahan Village, Barito Kuala Regency.

Abstract

Topik pengabdian ini dipilih pada Kelompok Lebah Madu yang merupakan kelompok ternak yang berusaha di bidang ternak kambing Perah sejak tahun 2013 dengan anggota kelompok berjumlah 14 anggota, hingga saat ini masih eksis dan bertahan dalam usahanya namun masih sedikit variasi produk yang dihasilkannya. Masyarakat umumnya tidak terbiasa dengan produk susu kambing, sehingga penjualan produk sangat terbatas. Oleh karena itu, dengan diolahnya produk susu kambing dapat dilakukan diversifikasi untuk memberikan peluang produk baru yang diminati masyarakat. Beberapa produk baru bisa jadi susu kambing diolah menjadi, yogurt, masker dan kombinasi minuman dengan bahan herbal. Hari ini untuk produk makanan olahan susu sapi cukup banyak. Namun produk susu kambing masih terbatas. Hal ini tentu saja menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi produk ini untuk dikenal dan dicintai oleh semua lapisan masyarakat. Caranya dilakukan dalam bentuk Participatory Rural Appraisal melalui praktik penyuluhan dan pengolahan susu kambing dan tes favorit produk ini. Kali ini pemberdayaan masyarakat selama 3 bulan di lokasi Kelompok Ternak lebah Madu di Desa Sungai Bokor Kecamatan Danau Pematang, Kecamatan Mataraman. Dari haril pelaksanaan pemberdayaan masyarakat, rupanya, sangat antusias dan berhasil membuat yogurt, susu masker dan minuman bubuk ditambah jamu dengan kualitas yang baik termasuk dan tertarik namun perlu adanya terobosan baru dalam pemasaran.

Abstract

Swamps forage generally have crude fiber content and tannin content which is quite high. Unlike the case with legumes which are high in protein content but crude fiber content, and tannins that are not too high compared to swamp forages. The presence of tannin in swamp forage, has an impact on palatability, digestibility and biological value of feed. In such a situation, modification of swamp forages with tree legumes is a promising alternative source of feed for goats.         Protein in small ruminant animals is generally degraded in the rumen before reaching the abomasum, where absorption of nutrients occurs. As a result, protein digestibility will be reduced because it is damaged during the journey to the abomasum, so there needs to be modification so that protein damage to the rumen can be reduced. One way is to create a protein protector that is able to protect protein by using tannin which is quite abundant in swamp forages. In addition to functioning as a protein protector, tannin is also useful as an anthelmintic agent (anti-parasite) in goats, so that it will reduce the occurrence of worm disease in goats so that it will reduce the use of worm parasitic drugs which will have an impact on goat performance.           The specific objectives of this study were to analyze the ability of a combination of swamp forage with modified legume as a complete feed granule with different tannin content on the quality of local carcass and goat meat          Trial feeding was carried out on 12 male local goats aged 1.5-2 years, body weight 33-35 kg. At this stage a modified swamp and legume forage in the form of granules was modified as a complete feed on the performance of local meat-producing goats. Parameters measured included: Carcass quality, physical and organoleptic quality of meat.          The results showed that the application of swamp forage and indigofera legume on male goats affected the cut weight and carcass percentage. Giving a combination of swamp forage with indigofera legume with different tannin content affects the physical properties of goat meat which includes cooking losses, water holding capacity, but does not affect the tenderness of meat, and pH.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi botanis dan kandungan nutrisi hijauan rawa Kalakai dan purun tikus yang tumbuh di Kecamatan Cerbon Kabupaten Barito Kuala. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan dari Bulan Juli hingga September 2018. Alat yang digunakan berupa kuadran ukuran 1 x 1 meter dan dilakukan pada 6 titik yang berbeda. Komposisi dari masing masing kuadran diklasifikasikan dan dikumpulkan untuk dihitung persentase dan bagian tanaman serta dianalisis kandungan nutrisi dan kandungan anti nutrisinya. Analisis nutrisi yang diukur melalui analisis proksimat dan kandungan tannin. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh hasil bahwa 2 jenis hijuan rawa kalakai dan purun tikus merupakan tanaman hijauan rawa yang terbanyak di lokasi rawa Kecamatan carbon kabupaten Baritokuala dengan lokasi yang lebih jauh dari sumber air/sungai, sedangkan purun tikus lokasi vegetasinya berada dekat dengan air. Hijauan rawa kalakai memiliki komposisi daun 48%, batang 44% dan akar 8%, sedangkan tanaman purun tikus Daun+batang 88% dan akar 12%. Adapun kandungan nutrisi kalakai adalah kadar air 11,93%, serat kasar 7,36 %, protein kasar 21,97, lemak kasar 2,15% sementara kandungan nutrisi purun tikus adalah kadar air 11,93%, lemak kasar 1,01%, protein kasar 8,67 dan serat kasar 24,48%. Dilihat dari komposisi botani untuk kalakai 48% adalah bagian daun terbanyak bagian dengan kandungan nutrisi serta kandungan tannin 1,31% sehingga sangat potensial digunakan sebagai pakan ternak kambing. Adapun tempat tumbuh hijauan kalakai adalah agak sedikit menjauh dari keberadaan air dibandin purun tikus yang dekat dengan air/sungai. Keywords : komposisi botani, kalakai, purun tikus, swamp forage

Abstract

Application of Controlled Smoke Cabinet for the Production of Smoked Salt Egg in the Eldona Home Industry, BanjarbaruAbstract. The Telur Asin Eldona Home Industry have problems in the process of producing salted smoke eggs. Production rate only 800-1000 salted smoke eggs per week. The fumigation time takes up to three days.  The high defect products reach 20% due to overheating during the fumigation process. The community partnership program aims to increase the volume of production of salted smoke eggs and reduce product failures in the fumigation process. To achieve this goal, Designing a larger smoke cabinet applying a pyrolysis system and temperature control to avoid overheating.  The rack of salted egg placement is practically modified to be flipped and shifted. The results of the initial implementation at the "Eldona Telur Asin" showed a reduction in fumigation time and defective of cracking product. Fumigation time decrease from three days become 6 hours. Cracking product of fumigation results has declined, before the average 20% now found is only 1.3%.Keywords: Pyrolisis, smoked eggs, microcontroller, salted eggs.Abstrak. IRT Telur Asin Eldona mengalami permasalahan dalam proses produksi telur asin asap. Kapasitas produksi hanya mencapai 800-1000 butir perminggu, waktu pengasapan relatif lama yakni memerlukan waktu hingga 3 hari serta tingginya produk cacat yang mencapai 20% akibat overheating selama proses pengasapan. Program kemitraan masyarakat ini merupakan usaha yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan volume produsi telur asin asap serta mengurangi gagal produk dalam proses pengasapan di IRT “Eldona” Telur Asin. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut maka dirancang lemari asap dengan menerapkan sistem pirolisis yang dilengkapi dengan mikrokontroller untuk menjaga suhu ruangan lemari asap agar tidak terjadi overheating. Kapasitas lemari diperbesar, rak penempatan telur asin dimodifikasi secara praktis untuk dibolak-balik dan dipindah posisinya, suhu pengasapan yang terkontrol serta tereduksinya panas dari ruang pembakaran. Hasil implemetasi menunjukkan terjadinya reduksi waktu pengasapan yakni sebelumnya memerlukan waktu 3 hari, saat ini hanya diperlukan waktu pengasapan 6 jam. Produk cacat hasil pengasapan menurun, sebelumnya rata-rata ditemui 20% menjadi 1,3%.Kata Kunci: Pirolisis, telur asap, mikrokontroller, telur asin

Abstract

Ransum bernutrisi untuk Pakan Kambing Potong sangat diperlukan untuk peningkatan produktivitas kambing, pakan bernutrisi tinggi menjadi salah satu kendala yang sering dihadapi oleh peternak karena ketersedian yang fluktuatif, sangat dipengaruhi oleh musim. Pada saat musim penghujan melimpah dan musim kemarau sangat kurang sehingga harga menjadi melonjak. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penyedian pakan bernutrisi tinggi di Unit Usaha peternakan pondok pesantren Al Islam Kabithin, selain itu untuk mempercepat pengembangan dan keberbelanjutan usaha dan menumbuhkan wirausaha baru yang prospektif di pondok pesantren. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini berupa pelatihan dan demonstrasi (demplot) langsung kepada ternak kambing di lokasi kelompok. Bahan pakan ternak ruminansia umumnya berkadar air tinggi, sehingga pemakaian teknologi pengolahan pakan yang berorientasi ekonomi yang secara komplementer mampu menyediaakan pakan setiap saat sangat diperlukan. Pengolahan pakan menggunakan teknologi fermentasi anaerob menjadi silase ransum komplit merupakan alternatif solusi yang tepat untuk memenuhi ketersediaan pakan, khususnya dimusim kemarau.

Abstract

Corn cobs are agricultural waste that is easy to obtain because the waste has not been optimally utilized. The waste has the potential to be used as feed for livestock, but has a low quality. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics, protein content and crude fiber of corn cobs with different fermentation times. The research method used a completely randomized design (CRD), with five treatments. The length of fermentation consisted of 0.5.10.15 and 20 days and was repeated 4 times so that there were 20 experimental units. The results of the study The length of fermentation on corn cobs can increase the characteristic value, increase protein content and can reduce the crude fiber content of corn cobs so that it is easier for livestock to digest.
