Abstract

This study aims to find out the intensity of light in the study room of Islamic boarding school of DDI Lil Banat Parepare. Measurements are taken in rooms that are often used by students to learn, namely classes and dormitories. The type of research used is quantitative by simulation method. Variables are tied to exposure measurement i.e. light intensity. While the variables are free, namely the arrangement of light points and the layout of the study room. Measurements were carried out over three days using a digital lux meter tool. The measurement results showed that the intensity of light in the dormitory did not meet the Indonesian National Standard for study space both night and day. During the day classrooms meet Indonesian National Standards but not at night. Although students as a space user is comfortable with the condition of light intensity in the study room and can learn according to these conditions, students still feel some complaints in the form of sore eyes, tense eyes and difficulty focusing. Thus, researchers made recommendations on the design of study rooms that can make students more comfortable learning in dormitories and classrooms so as to reduce complaints while studying. Lighting design recommendations are made in several alternatives by adding the number of lamps and changing the type of lamp using Dialux simulation. The simulation results of the study room lighting design recommendations have met the standards for use so that it can be applied to dormitories and classes at the Islamic boarding school of DDI Lil Banat Parepare. Abstract

Lighting is one of the important factors to recognize the environmental situation. Lighting is needed by humans, with good lighting we can visually recognize objects clearly. The suitability of lighting with recommended light standards and the arrangement of building facades in accordance with the distribution of lighting will have an impact on the visual quality of a building. Along with the development of technology and information, people's lifestyles are increasingly advanced and developing. Likewise, the function of artificial lighting, which used to only function as lighting at night, has now developed into an important part of the aesthetic forming factor of a building. So there is a need for a survey to see how big the difference in perception of the visual quality of lighting is by using floodlights on the Phinsi Tower. The survey method of data collection used quantitative and qualitative research methods. Mixed methods are divided into quantitative methods (research using questionnaires and SPSS data processing) and qualitative (respondent perception, interview and observation). Based on the results of surveys and tests conducted on 17 simulation models, different results were obtained in each test model. This explains that the use of floodlights greatly influences the visual quality of the Phinisi Tower facade. Of the 17 lighting simulation models that have been made, Model 17 has the highest average score of 5.08 and the lowest is Model 10 of 2.53 (a rating scale of 1 to 7).

Abstract

Visual comfort Prameter is the level suficient of illumination recommended which is not exceed the threshold contrsat and stated brightness level, and no room glare occured. Not only to illuminate the work space, level of illumination also effects on the room condition (comfort and fun) that create a comfortable oflce work space.The goal of this research is to recognize the influence of furniture lay out and light spot placement on the work space, and if the color of materials effect on the reflectance value of wall and ceiling. In this study, descriptive metode applicated on the Dialux program concluded that light point and furniture lay out made effect on the illumination level of the work space, and the color of materials influence the effect of reflectance.This research is expected to serve as guidelines in designing office work space inaccordance with the recommended illumination level.Keywords: illumination, luminance, visual comfort

Abstract

Climate change led to the issue of global warming and have an impact also on increasing energy load of the building. The designer Architect instrumental in designing buildings with attention to environmental impact, namely temperature, wind and light. Solar radiation causing the high load of electrical energy for air conditioning, so the Architects as the designer should be able to minimize the radiation of heat into the building. In addition, the sunlight will be able to enter into the building so that the load of the electrical energy for the artificial lighting can be minimized as well. Energy efficient building design is a great thing to note, with consideration of comfort in activities so that an increase in labor productivity. The purpose of this research is to analyze the lighting in the Office building of the Wisma Kalla in Makassar. Energy-efficient architecture is based on the idea of minimising energy use without limit or change the function of the building, comfort, and productivity of the user space. This research analyzes the energy load of electric lighting setting design appropriate spaces with attention to the standard level of illumination is recommended. Quantitative research methods using ecotect program to find out the values of illumination and energy consumption on used point lights. Results of the study concluded that the utilization of natural lighting can minimize the load on the building energy consumption but taking into account the recommendations of the standard illumination on the work space Office.Key words: Energyefficient , Office building, Lighting

Abstract

Abstrak_ Pada sebagian besar jenis bangunan, penggunaan cahaya alami sangat penting. Desain pencahayaan harus mencerminkan peran dan kebutuhan penghuni untuk memastikan bahwa bangunan diterangi dengan baik. Skylight adalah salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kuantitas cahaya yang diperlukan tanpa menyebabkan silau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis distribusi cahaya antara desain skylight eksisting dengan berbagai usulan desain skylight yang dilakukan melalui simulasi pada atrium Mall Ratu Indah Makassar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi desain bangunan eksisting menyebabkan distribusi cahaya tidak merata, sementara simulasi desain bukaan 40% menggunakan material kaca skylight dengan nilai VLT (Visible Light Transmission) sebesar 0.7, lebih memberikan hasil distribusi yang baik.Kata kunci : Pengaruh; Desain Skylight; Distribusi Cahaya; Pusat Perbelanjaan; Mall Ratu Indah Makassar. Abstract_ In most types of buildings, the use of natural light is very important. Lighting design should reflect the role and needs of occupants to ensure that the building is well lit. Skylights are one way to increase the quantity of light needed without causing glare. This research aims to analyze the distribution of light between existing skylight designs and various skylight design proposals carried out through simulations in the atrium of Ratu Indah Makassar Mall. The research method used is a quantitative method with descriptive analysis. The results showed that existing building design conditions caused uneven light distribution, while 40% aperture design simulation using skylight glass material with VLT (Visible Light Transmission) value of 0.7, more gave good distribution results.Keywords : Influence; Skylight Design; Distribusi  Cahaya; Shopping Mall; Mall Ratu Indah Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi intensitas pencahayaan alami pada bangunan sekolah dasar di wilayah pesisir Sulawesi Selatan, dan kemudian meninjau kesesuaiannya dengan standar pencahayaan alami bangunan.. Penelitian ini merupakan langkah awal dari upaya konservasi energi dengan pemanfaatan cahaya alami sebagai sumber pencahayaan bangunan, utamanya untuk ruang-ruang kelas yang hanya dipergunakan pada pagi hingga sore hari. Metode penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif yang datanya diperoleh melalui survei dan pengukuran langsung di lokasi penelitian. Ada enam sekolah dasar di wilayah pesisir Sulawesi Selatan yang dijadikan sampel penelitian. Sekolah-sekolah tersebut berlokasi di Kabupaten Barru, Pare-Pare dan Pinrang. Sampel dipilih secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar intensitas cahaya alami ruang kelas sekolah dasar di areal pesisir pantai Sulawesi Selatan berada di bawah standar pencahayaan rata-rata SNI ruang kelas. Sebanyak 83,2% dibawah nilai standar pencahayaan rata-rata SNI untuk ruang kelas dan hanya sebanyak 16,8% yang memenuhi nilai standar SNI.

Abstract

Title: Natural Light Intensity Analysis in Classroom; Case Study: Classroom at Bosowa University Lighting is an important part of buildings in supporting the productivity of human labor. Insufficient lighting can interfere with human activities and could cause health problems, like eye disorders. Building design must consider the functions and needs so that residents can feel comfortable. Good lighting levels can be achieved by utilizing natural and artificial lighting. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of illumination in a room that is directly related to the openings of the building envelope and to analyze the different levels of illumination in classrooms with different orientations. Quantitative research methods by distributing measurement data in the form of tables, diagrams and graphs. Data analysis was performed using statistics and data analysis techniques, the results of the measurement were statistically descriptive. This study analyzed the differences in the level of illumination in the northern orientation and southern orientation classrooms. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that the orientation of the building affects the level of illumination in the room. During the day the level of illumination is higher in the direction of orientation north than the direction of orientation south, especially the measurement point in the area close to the openings of the building envelope, but in this study the direction of classroom orientation towards the south is higher the level of illumination compared to the north orientation classrooms. This is understood by the treatment of building glass sheaths in the north orientation direction in the form of the use of frosted glass wallpaper, so it can be concluded that changes to the building facade affect the level of room illumination. The results of this study are expected to be a reference in building facade concepts and designing energy-efficient buildings.

Abstract

Title: Natural Light Intensity Analysis in the Meeting Room at COT Building, Gowa Engineering Faculty, Hasanuddin University Lighting is an essential factor in supporting out activities. However, excessive brightness can also cause discomfort. This study aims to examine the intensity of natural lighting in the meeting room of the COT building, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University. This type of research used is quantitative analysis and data collection methods directly using the lux meter measuring instrument, then presented in tabular form. The study's conclusion is that the intensity of natural lighting in the meeting room of the 1st floor, 2nd and 3rd-floor COT buildings, all exceeding 300 lux from the lighting standards. The average significant light intensity outside the building with clear sky conditions in the morning is 29950 lux; daytime is 18360 lux and afternoon is 14550 lux. The average light intensity outside the building with cloudy sky conditions in the morning is 9200 lux, daytime is 8750 lux, and afternoon is 9350 lux. The average significant light intensity outside the building with cloudy sky conditions in the morning is 3250 lux, daytime is 6610 lux, and the afternoon is 5425 lux. The magnitude of the natural light intensity outside the building with any sky conditions significantly affects the natural lighting in the building. The higher the intensity of the sun light outside the building, the higher the illumination that comes to the building.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan energi matahari sebagai sumber pencahayaan alami pada rumah tinggal sederhana merupakan salah satu faktor untuk meminimalkan konsumsi energi listrik. Rumah tinggal yang menggunakan penghawaan alami, akan memiliki kelembaban udara yang cukup dan sebaiknya diupayakan tidak menggunakan pengkondisian udara (AC) sehingga penggunaan konsumsi energi listrik akan berkurang. Rumah tinggal sederhana mempunyai luasan ruang yang relative kecil, oleh sebab itu sistem pencahayaan dan penghawaan bukan merupakan hal yang tidak dapat dikendalikan. Berdasarkan hal ini, perlu dilakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat tentang pemanfaatan energi, khususnya pada rumah tinggal sederhana. Tujuan kegiatan ini merupakan pemahaman dan penerapan pemanfaatan energi pada rumah tinggal sederhana. Setelah diadakan penyuluhan, diharapkan masyarakat dapat memahami teori pemanfaatan pencahayaan dan penghawaan alami dan masyarakat dapat menerapkannya pada rumah tinggal mereka. Pelaksanaan kegiatan sosialisasi, dimulai dengan memaparkan teori dasar dan tata cara penerapan pemanfataan energi pada rumah tinggal sederhana. Kegiatan ini, dilanjutkan dengan mengunjungi 3 unit rumah tinggal di jalan Pelanduk Kel. Maricaya Kec. Makassar Kota Makassar. Kunjungan ini dilakukan untuk mengarahkan dan menjelaskan kepada masyarakat dengan melihat secara langsung obyeknya. Selanjutnya kepada pemilik rumah tersebut, diberikan desain renovasi rumah tinggal dengan memaksimalkan pemanfaatan pencahayaan dan penghawaan alami berupa gambar denah dan tampak berupa tiga dimensi.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat dilakukan di Kabupaten Takalar Kecamatan Mangarabombang Desa Cikoang dengan judul “Sosialisasi Kenyamanan Termal pada Bangunan Rumah Tinggal di Kawasan Permukiman Tepi Air Cikoang Kabupaten Takalar”. Pertambahan jumlah penduduk semakin meningkat dan kebutuhan Rumah tinggal sebagai kebutuhan utama masyarakat pun semakin meningkat. Kawasan permukiman di tepi air cikoang, perlu mendapatkan perhatian, khususnya aspek kenyamanan termal. Pada area pesisir pantai mempunyai kondisi udara yang berfluktuasi, sehingga faktor utama yang perlu diperhatikan adalah kenyamanan termal dalam beraktifitas di dalam rumah tinggal. Setelah sosialisasi dilaksanakan, diharapkan masyarakat dapat memahami dan menerapkan teori dan saran demi terciptanya kenyamanan termal pada rumah tinggal masyarakat di pesisir sungai Cikoang. Kegiatan pengabdian dilanjutkan dengan menganalisis secara langsung beberapa unit hunian pada area pesisir sungai Cikoang. Selanjutya disarankan kepada masyarakat, apabila akan membangun atau memperbaiki rumah tinggal di area pesisir, sebaiknya masyarakat memperhatikan kenyamanan termal pada lingkungan sekitarnya dan kenyamanan termal pada rumah tinggal mereka yang sesuai dengan standar.
