Abstract

The effectiveness of  jump-shoot technique step jump shoot and still jump shoot in a game is still questionable,  because many different assumptions arise. One opinion stated that step jump shoot was more effective and the other stated that and still jump shoot was more efective. Therefore it is necessary to do research on the analysis of the results of step jump shoot and and still jump shoot to improve the accuracy of shooting in a basketball. The experimental research had been conducted on 20samples of people whowere selected randomly from the men's basketball club of the Faculty of Physical Educationand Health of Teacher Training Institute PGRI Bali. Samples were divided into two groups each  consisting of 10 people. Group I was given training step  jump shoot four sets of 10 reps  and Group II training still jump shoot four sets of 10 reps. The data before and after treatment were tested by SPSS computer program. The data were normally distributed and homogeneous so further tested using pairedt-test to compare the average values?? before and after training between each group, while the independent t-test was used to determine differences in mean values?? between the two groups. Paired t-test resulted the obtained data were significantly increased in both treatment groups p=0,001 in Group I and p=0,000 in Group II (p <0.05). Results of independent t-test found that both groups before training did not differ significantly p=0,926 (p>0.05) and after training both groups equally improve the accuracy of shooting because p=0,133 (p>0.05). It was concluded that botht raining improved the shooting accuracy and there was no difference between the effect of step jumps hoot and still jump shoot toward the shooting accuracy. It was suggested to improve the shooting accuracy in basketball used step jump shoot training and still jump shoot training four sets of 10 reps with a training frequency of 4 times a week for 6 weeks

Abstract

Low Back Pain is one of the most musculoskeletal problem. LBP can cause disability, material loss and biopsychosocial problem. The most effective management for LBP is stilldiscussing in the health practitioner and scientist between Aquatic Exercise or McKenzieExercise. The aim of this study is to prove the different between Aquatic Exercise withMcKenzie Exercise to reduce disability in Discogenic Low Back Pain patients. This studywas the true experimental control trial research, with randomized pre-test and post-testdesign. The study was conducted in Physiotherapy Clinic in Borromeus Hospital Bandungand Melinda Surgery Hospital Bandung. The samples were 19 divided into two groups.Group I with Aquatic Exercise was 9 people and Group II with McKenzie Exercise was 10people. The measuring instrument in this study was Oswestry Disability Index. Results of thehypothesis used paired t-test and independent t-test. The hypothesis test results showed thatboth of groups can reduce disability significantly with mean in Group I = 25,9248 ± 3,98214,p value = 0.001 (p < 0.05) and Group II = 16,912 ± 4,0873, p value = 0.001. And between 2groups there were significant difference with mean = 8,57193 ± 3,66789, p value = 0.032 (p< 0.05). The conclusions where both of Aquatic Exercise and McKenzie Exercise couldreduced disability significantly and Aquatic Exercise was better than McKenzie Exercise toreduce disability in Discogenic Low Back Pain patients. This study can be suggested that thisAquatic Exercise program to reduce disability in Discogenic Low Back Pain. The multicenter study should be held with longer time and much more subjects.Key

Abstract

Success in the long jump is strongly influenced by the explosive power of the leg muscles. Increasing this explosive power will increase the distance long jump performance. In this study conducted with two types of training that is run on the track in the sand and obstacles run, each of which performed a total of five sets and four reps. Training is done in the field SMP-11 Denpasar for six weeks with a frequency of three times in a week. Samples were selected randomly as many as 20 people and the selected sample was divided into two groups, so that each group of 10 people. Group-1 are given run-jump training on the sand group-2 are given obstacles run training. Paired t test was used to analyze differences in the long jump achievement gap between before and after training in each group and the unpaired t test used to analyze differences in the long jump achievement gap between groups of training. Limit of significance used was 0.05. The mean distance long jump performance on the training run around in the sand before training was 3.86 ± 0.33 meters and after training was 4.38 ± 0.34 meter showed a statistically significant difference, p = 0.000 (p<0.05). The mean distance of achievement results before training on obstacles run training was 3.62 ± 0.37 meters and after training was 3.92 ± 0.37, also showed a significant difference p = 0.000 (p<0.05). Differences long jump distance before training outcomes between the two groups was not significant p = 0.190 (p>0.05), while after training between groups showed a significant difference p = 0.010 (p<0.05). Therefore run-jump training in the sand and obstacles run training can increase the distance of the long jump in student SMP-11 Denpasar, where run jump training in the sand beter than obstacles run training. So expect to teachers and sports trainers to implement the training long jump with run jump in sand five reps and four sets in training.
