Abstract

Operation of nonlinear loads can cause harmonic distortion in the voltage and current waveforms that result in abnormal electrical system condition. Content THD (Total Harmonics Distortion) an excess flow can cause power quality systems become worse, thus causing the system power factor is lower. Active filter and Passive filter which aims to reduce harmonics that arise. Analysis THD simulation and measurement results in accordance with IEEE 519-2014 and analysis designing of a passive filter and active filter is right to suppress harmonic distortion. The analysis shows that the installation of active filters causes the current and voltage THD contents to comply with the standard IEEE 519-2014 standards is ?12% and 5%. The use of passive and active filters can reduce THDi content to 8.45% and 3.07%, respectively. While for THDv decreased respectively to 3.68% and 3.45% which already meet the IEEE 519-2014 standards. Power losses decreased respectively to 4.36 kW and 3.86 kW. Installation of active filters is better for reducing THD (Total Harmonics Distortion) and power losses in KA 2085 transformers.

Abstract

A previous review of harmonic analyzes has been conducted at The Blue Point Bay Villa & Spa hotel, where there are many high non linear loads, resulting in harmonic distortions that have an impact on power losses. The current harmonic content of the electricity system at The Blue Point Bay Villa & Spa hotel does not meet the IEEE 519-1992 standard which results in decreased power quality. This research analyzes the steps of installing high-pass hybrid filter type to reduce harmonic distortion, analyze power losses using ETAP software. Analysis is performed before and after the installation of hybrid filters. The analysis result of hybrid filter simulation can reduce harmonic distortion with THDi value at SDP1 equal to 6,42%, SDP2 equal to 6,41%, SDP3 equal to 6,42%, SDP4 6,41%, and SDP5 6,42%. THDv value simulation results on all SDP before installation of hybrid filter that is 8.80% and after installation of hybrid filter that is 0,13%.

Abstract

Timbulnya distrosi harmonisa dari pengoperasian beban non-linier dapat mengakibatkan sistem kelistrikan menjadi tidak normal. Hal ini terbukti melalui simulasi pada Blue Point Bay Villa & Spa yang memiliki mayoritas berupa beban nonlinier. Simulasi dilakukan menggunakan software ETAP, pengelompokkan jenis beban nonlinier, perhitungan daya aktif (P) dan arus beban (IL), analisis THD(Total Harmonic Distraction) hasil simulasi dibandingkan dengan standar IEEE 519-1992, batas maksimum THDI untuk SCratio<20 adalah 5,0% sedangkan THDV adalah 5,0%. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan nilai THDI di Blue Point Bay Villa & Spa tidak memenuhi standar, yaitu seluruh SDP(Sub Distribution Panel) memiliki persentase diatas 5,0% dengan presentase paling besar terdapat di SDP 1.5 sebesar 19,48% sedangkan persentase THDI di SDP lainnya memiliki rata-rata sebesar 8,8%. Nilai THDV hasil simulasi memenuhi standar, yaitu seluruh SDP memiliki nilai THDV dibawah 5%, persentase THDV paling besar terdapat di SDP 1.3 sebesar 2,83% sedangkan persentase THDV di SDP lainnya memiliki rata-rata sebesar 2,72%.

Abstract

This research aims to optimize the Distributed Generator (DG) placement to improve the voltage magnitude on the Abang Feeder. The percentage of voltage drop received at the end of the load according to PLN is a maximum of 10% below the nominal voltage of a feeder. This study uses the MATLAB application with the Quantum Genetic Algorithm (QGA) method. The QGA method is an evolution of the Genetic Algorithm method which is combined with quantum calculations. This QGA method is combined with Newton Raphson's theory. The results obtained from this study are the placement of DGs in several buses on the broiler feeder and the improvement of the voltage magnitude that was previously not in accordance with standards ( below 18 kV or 0,9 p.u ) to be better ( 20 kV or 1 p.u and not more than 21 kV or 1,05 p.u ) and has met the predetermined standards.

Abstract

Beban sistem kelistrikan di Bali saat ini adalah 662 MW yang disuplai dari unitpembangkitan pada GI Pesanggaran, GI Pemaron, GI Gilimanuk dan unit kabel laut yangberasal dari Jawa. Rencana penambahan pasokan daya listrik untuk Provinsi Bali tahun 2013-2022 adalah pembangkitan Kabel Laut (2014), PLTU IPP (Independent Power Producer)Celukan Bawang (2015) dan jaringan Saluran Udara Tegangan Ekstra Tinggi (SUTET) 500 kV(2017). Analisis peramalan beban tahun 2013-2022 menggunakan metode regresi linear danmelakukan analisis kapasitas CB dengan menghitung arus hubung singkat menggunakanprogram ETAP. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh peramalan beban daya listrik pada sistemkelistrikan di Bali tahun 2022 adalah sebesar 1227.4 MW. Hasil analisis kapasitas CB sistemkelistrikan di Bali tahun 2013-2022 perlu dilakukan penambahan kapasitas CB pada GIGilimanuk (42.349kA), GI Kapal (40.701kA) dan GI Pesanggaran (43.918kA).

Abstract

A non-linear load operation on a power system will generate harmonics. Operating non-linear loads on the simulated electrical system at the Bene Hotel Kuta created a harmonic current which resulted in power losses. In this study, the simulation used ETAP software, and determined the standard of THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) according to IEEE 519-2014, the standard maximum THDI value 5.0% and THDV maximum 5,0%. Compared the simulation results with the specified standards, installation of a high pass active filter, as well as power loss analysis before and after filter installation. THDI value of simulation result did not still meet the standard, with the average being 9.7%. The installation of a high pass active filter could reduce harmonic distortion with an average THDI value of 1.5% and a THDV value of 0.31%. The total power loss prior to installation of active filter was 153,119.8 Watt and after the installation it became 1,511.2 Watt. The decrease in filter values used 70% of the filter's maximum capability to obtain a more efficient filter, but it still met the specified THD standard. Total loss of power on electrical system was 11,885.5W.

Abstract

The transformer is the main equipment that is very important at the substation.However, sometimes there can be damage to the transformer used. Damage to the transformerwill be able to disrupt the distribution of electricity, so it must get the right security, determiningthe right relay setting is an attempt to protect equipment, system security and consumer needsfrom possible disruption in the distribution system. In some roles, efforts to protect the powertransformer if there is a short circuit between phase and phase to the ground, then this study willstudy the coordination of the security system of power transformers in Padang Sambian mainsubstation. The results of the calculation of overcurrent relay (OCR) on the 150KV transformerthat has been done is obtained the results of the CT primary side current setting of 254.1 A andfor the secondary side of 3.178 A. For the actual working time of the relay is 0.91 seconds, if thecurrent exceeds value of this setting there will be a trip. The results of the calculation ofovercurrent relay (OCR) on the 20KV transformer that has been done is obtained the results ofthe CT primary side current setting of 1905 A and for the secondary side is obtained for 4.76 A.For the actual working time relay result is 3.69 seconds, if the current exceeds the value of thissetting there will be a trip.

Abstract

Pemadaman yang dilakukan untuk pekerjaan pemeliharaan, menyebabkan kerugian bagi konsumen dan PLN. Kerugian yang dialami adalah diskontinuitas pelayanan penyaluran energi listrik dan kWH yang diproduksi oleh PLN tidak dapat tersalurkan, maka dari itu perlu dilakukan pemeliharaan dalam keadaan bertegangan (PDKB). Sebelum melakukan pekerjaan bertegangan, perlu dilakukan studi kelayakan investasi peralatan bertegangan dari aspek ekonomis. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate Of Return (IRR) dan Net Benefit Cost Ratio (NET B/C), sehingga dapat diketahui besar nilai tingkat keuntungan melalui pemeliharaan bertegangan. Pemeliharaan dalam keadaan bertegangan (PDKB) di PT PLN (Persero) Rayon Kuta dapat menyelamatkan rupiah kWh sebesar Rp.8.941.763.694/ tahun. Sistem Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) yang ditekan adalah 991,812243 menit/ pelanggan, untuk System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI) adalah 14.60000046 kali/ pelanggan, Net Present Value bernilai positif sebesar Rp.27.347.312.169, Internal Rate Of Return diperoleh sebesar 18,111%, sedangkan Net Benefit Cost Ratio diperoleh 6,462 lebih besar dari 1. Dengan demikian pekerjaan pe-meliharaan bertegangan secara teknis dan ekonomis sangat layak untuk dilaksanakan.

Abstract

The area of South Bali is a tourist attraction that has many hotel buildings, villas, and tourism sector as well as a venue for the implementation of National and International events. Causing the burden on the Nusa Dua Main Entity will increase. Along with the load development, Nusa Dua Substation must be able to supply from GIS Airport and GIS Pesanggaran. Forecast load using linear regression to obtain the value of the development of the transformer load and power supply up to 5 years.The calculation of the growth rate of the transformer load of the Nusa Dua Substation Transformer is 8.9% per year, and the calculation of 2018 in Transformer 1 is 113.38A Trans-former 2 about 124.3A, and the Transformer 3 is 137.09A. The calculation results of the growth rate of power supply through the transmission of 150 Kv to the Nusa Dua Substation is 179,612A supplied from GIS airport, and 238.32A from GIS Pesanggaran. The difference between load and power supply in 2018 is 18.53A (0.430%) of GIS Airport and 24.53A (0.570%) of GIS Pesanggaran. Transformer 3 in 2025 is not capable of carrying the load, Transformer 2 can not loads in 2026, and Transformer 1 is not able to the burden in 2027. So that required the addition of new Transformer or construction of new substation in the area of increasing load.Keywords: growth rate, power supply, transformer.
