Abstract

This article aims to illustrate that the politics of language marked power relations framed by a form of power between the dominating and the dominated in the Act Regulating Matters Pertaining to Specific Autonomy for Papua (hereinafter called UU Otsus Papua). The politics of language involves a high degree of knowledge and power that is marked by the symbolic interactions in the ethnic diversity of the archipelago UU Otsus Papua is a form of political discourse and the medium of language diplomacy containing an authority and political competence of the central government over the people of Papua; including a number of authorities and policies, as well as to explore the power of language in the language politics networks through the system of government of the Republic of Indonesia. Politics of language in this article will be disclosed through the paradigm of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). This article will focus on the efforts of uncovering: “Language Politics in UU Otsus Papua”, by projecting the problems including: (i) the form of the politics of language, and (ii) the political function of language in the UU Otsus Papua.

Abstract

Abstract The speech community of Biak Numfor represents one community which are using the same language variant as a socio cultural media and also as distinguishing feature in facing their every day reality of life as well as as a carrier of set of norm and rules which is same in form of language. Every form of parallelism it?s a fair sharing between unchanging elements and changing elements. More tide of the distribution of unchanging elements, its getting more big differences and variation effectiveness. Parallelism in the text of Dou Sandik GTBN will be explained base on procedure which proposed by Jacobson , which are unchanging elements and changing elements which aim to specify repetition and existing parallels. Abstract

Wacana APEC dalam kajian ini akan dieskplorasi melalui paradigma kritis untuk melakukan konstruksi refleksif terhadap pengalaman wacana-wacana pariwisata yang tumbuh dan berkembang pada masyarakat pelaku pariwisata di Bali. Fokus kajian pada wacana APEC ini mencakup (1) legitimasi dan (2) signifikasi konstruksi wacana yang berdampak langsung pada perekonomian Bali melalui perspektif critical discourse analysis (CDA). Perspektif ini memberikan penekanan pada determinasi pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif, yakni segala sesuatu yang sedang, akan, dan nanti terjadi melalui wacana APEC, dan berdampak langsung pada kekuatan-kekuatan ekonomi. Legitimasi akan membantu membuat objektivasi yang sudah dilembagakan menjadi tersedia secara objektif dan masuk akal secara subjektif. Sedangkan signifikasi merupakan salah satu struktur wacana yang mengacu pada sistem, mengharuskan adanya relasi yang tidak dapat dipisahkan antara sebuah tanda dan realitas yang menjadi rujukannya serta bersifat ikonis. APEC 2013 yang diwacanakan berlangsung di Bali, akan berdampak besar pada pembangunan sektor pariwisata.  Setidaknya, signifikasi perubahan dan dinamika yang terjadi di tingkat nasional, regional dan internasional akan dikonstruksi dan didayagunakan secara bersama dalam menyelesaikan berbagai persoalan yang sama pada sesama negara anggota APEC. Untuk analisis CDA, fakta bahasanya diperoleh dari media massa (surat kabar lokal Bali), yakni (1) Bali Post dan (2) Media Bali Promosi.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan menggambarkan potensi kejahatan bahasa yang terjadi pada facebook sebagai media sosial yang diyakini oleh masyarakat pengguna sebagai media yang mampu menawarkan kemudahan dan kecepatan penyebaran informasi, memberi dan menerima tanggapan, mengamati peredaraan informasi secara praktis, mudah, dan cepat sesuai konteks kebutuhan pengguna. Data yang digunakan dalam kajian ini terdiri atas data primer, yaitu data yang diidentifikasi dan diolah sendiri oleh saksi ahli bahasa sendiri berupa fakta bahasa pada teks-teks dalam media on line (facebook, sms, dan WA) sebagai barang bukti (BB) penyidik dan data sekunder berupa data tertulis yang berasal dari Berita Acara Pemeriksaan (BAP) Saksi Ahli atau Keterangan Ahli yang dibuat oleh penyidik dari Satuan Reserse Kriminal (Satreskrim) Polres Manokwari. Dalam perspektif linguistik forensik, kajian ini berupaya menerapkan prinsip-prinsip ilmiah terhadap data kebahasaan pada kasus tindak pidana (kejahatan bahasa), serta mengadaptasi langkah-langkah dalam kajian ilmiah pada bidang ilmu lainnya. Kajian ini menggunakan dua pendekatan, yakni (1) pendekatan teoretis dan (2) pendekatan metodologis. Pendekatan teoretis adalah eksplorasi teori Linguistik Forensik, sedangkan pendekatan metodologi adalah pendekatan deskriptif dengan dimensi eksplanatif serta mengikuti prosedur (1) tahapan penyediaan data, (2) tahapan analisis data, dan (3) tahapan penyajian hasil analisis data. Hasil kajian menemukan fakta bahasa penghinan dan pencemaran nama baik sebanyak 15 (lima belas) buah, yakni (1) Biadab, (2) Busuk, (3) Binatang, (4) Anjing, (5) Babi, (6) Gurita, (7) Iblis, (8) Setan, (9) Sihir, (10) Santet, (11) Jahat, (12) Keji, (13) Jahanam, (14) Gatal, dan (15) Puki.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the discourse joke by Papuans called Mop. Mop 'joke' discourse is one of the collective wealth of the people of Papua sastra inherited from generation to generation. Mop 'joke' discourse contains elements of humor or wit; the creation of a civilized beings. Mop 'joke' discourse has the potential of complex linguistic and supported by certain persuasive power that humorous effect, can be entertaining, pleasing, reduce tasa tense and unhappy audience. This article is an attempt to identify and explore initial typology forms of discourse in society Mop Papua with projecting typology that includes: (i) the story, (ii) conversation or dialogue, (iii) puzzles, and (iv) poetry.

Abstract

This paper aims to reveal the nature of science that comes from forensic linguistics, namely the realm of interdisciplinary sciences of language, crime, and law. In it the law, including law enforcement, judicial matters, regulations, disputes or legal proceedings, and even disputes only potentially involve some violation of law or the need to seek some mode of legal remedy.The fact today illustrates that forensic linguistics has common characteristics that allow can be aligned into the practices of linguistic and discourse analytical others namely: (1) has a parameter forensic (legal and criminal) on linguistics, (2) as a surgical instrument used in hacking the relationship between language, law, and criminal, (3) a study of the language of the texts of laws, (4) media dismantle pragmatism legal language, (5) exposing the evil language, and (6) into a pillar of reconciliation between disputing parties law.Forensic linguistics can position the language, crime and law through interdisciplinary perspective as a vital part of human faced throughout his life. Paradigm evidentiary forensic linguistics implies granting absolute certainty for each person based on logic and observations obtained from the value sense and reasonableness. Forensic linguistics can be explored above, namely (1) the general characteristics, (2) the area of research, (3) the basic principle, (4) the mechanism of action, and (5) review the facts forensic linguistics.

Abstract

This article aims to describe and reveal a grain of Biak language lexicon based on semantic features different from the features of the other features. In semantics, a lexicon form fields can be described completely meaning to get the features behind it. This study will describe the meaning of Un ‘take’ in the language of Biak - Papua packaging metalanguage natural semantics of theory (MSA). MSA theory is designed to mengeksplikasikan all meaning, either lexical meaning, grammatical meaning, and illocutionary. Natural conditions of a language can be able to maintain a form of meaning and one meaning for one form. Results of this study indicate that the basic meaning of Un ‘take’ in Biak has eleven sub-type of meaning.

Abstract

Dou Sandik tradition of Biak Numfor speech community (GTBN), Papua is the integration of speech language packed with slick as a form of expression of the human soul to God and His work of creation. What is presented through a cycle Dou Sandik tradition of cosmic life and death. Dou sandik tradition ogled as the strengthening of media characters, namely: (1) as a product and practice of GTBN describing his view of self, nature (the world), and God, (2) as a form of interaction with God langue and parole, (3) as pockets of cultural values   that precipitate narrative meaning and function of language, and (4) as a medium that can enclose an entity (outward unity) on the expression of life with respect to the portion crophos and religious content. As a reflection of identity, tradition is an attempt Dou Sandik disclosure of ideas, ideas, and the contents of the mind, as well as to reflect the reality of the experience of his successor. This tradition is seen in the structure involving the roles of the process, participants traditions, circumstances, prosesif, stative, active, kala, workshops, and how. Tradition is also used to build and maintain social relationships, to express social roles and communication roles created by Dou Sandik speech itself.
