Abstract

Kecamatan Lingsar, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat merupakan sentra perikanan tawar terutama ikan Nila, Lele dan Mas. Desa Sigerongan dan Saribaye, merupakan sentra perikanan tawar yang cukup maju di Kabupaten Lombok Barat dan karena hal tersebut maka lokasi kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dilakukan di Kelompok Pembudidaya Telaga Biru yang berlokasi di Desa Sigerongan dan Padegirang di Desa Saribaye. Pada hari besar keagamaan, produksi ikan cenderung meningkat karena pembudidaya ikan menaikkan jumlah ikan yang dipelihara untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat. Peningkatan produksi ikan yang melebihi permintaan masyarakat menyebabkan harga ikan menjadi murah. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah dengan memanfaatkan sekaligus meningkatkan nilai jual produksi ikan Nila melalui diversifikasi pengolahan ikan Nila menjadi berbagai produk olahan yang mudah diproduksi dan diminati masyarakat sehingga meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat di kedua Desa. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang dijalankan melalui proses sosialisasi, pelatihan (workshop), pendampingan dan evaluasi kepada keluarga pembudidaya, yaitu istri dan anak pembudidaya sebagai sasaran antara, selain anggota Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga kedua desa tersebut. Pengujian organoleptik secara hedonik juga dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesukaan terhadap produk olahan yang telah diproduksi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa setelah dilakukan penyuluhan tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap produk olahan berbasis ikan Nila di dua Desa meningkat serta rata-rata nilai uji hedonik adalah menyukai produk nugget ikan Nila.

Abstract

The coastal waters of Wonorejo is part of the East Coast Surabaya which receive the brunt of watersheds (DAS) from other rivers. The main source of heavy metal wastes in the River on the downstream Wonorejo pass several industries suspected of disposing of hazardous waste. One of the main heavy metal which is a toxic element and effect on aquatic ecological systems are cadmium (Cd).Mud crab is one potential biota found in the mangrove area of Wonorejo River Surabaya can accumulate heavy metals. This research was carried out in April 2018 with sampling at three stations with time each week for three times.Analysis of heavy metals cadmium (Cd) in mud crabs (Scylla sp.), water and sediments carried out in the laboratory of nutrition of the Faculty of public health University Airlangga. Research method using observation which is channeled in the waters and farmed in Wonorejo Surabaya. Mud crab meat samples, water and sediments tested using Atomic Absoption Spectrophotometry (AAS). The results of the test concentration of heavy metals cadmium (Cd) in mud crab meat on the river Wonorejo i.e. 0.032 mg.kg-1 where the value of these levels are still below the threshold of quality raw heavy metal Cd on crustaceans i.e. 1 mg.kg-1 (SNI 7387:2009). The Cd content in water of Wonorejo river in between 0.014-0.02 ppm and on sediments between 0.234-0.416 mg/kg. Correlation of cadmium content in water with crab meat in the correlation coefficient shows of Wonorejo -0.22 (a weak correlation, a negative direction). Then, the correlation of the content of cadmium in sediments with crab meat in the correlation coefficient shows of Wonorejo 0.285 (of correlation is weak, the positive direction).

Abstract

This study aimed to identified cellulolytic inoculant code WPL 214 isolated from bovine rumen fluid waste of Ongole Cross Breed of Surabaya Slaughter house. A single colony of isolates celulolytic grown on 5 mL of liquid media Luria Bertani (LB) consist of 1 % NaCl , 1% tripton , 0.5 % yeast extract, containing1 % carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) at temperature 37°C, using a shaker of incubator during 16-18 hours. That isolate determined by 16S DNA gen analysis using High Fidelity Platinum Taq DNA Polymerase with primer forward PB36 5’-AGR GTT TGA TCM TGG CTC AG-3’ and primer reverse PB38 5’-GMT ACCTTG TTA CGA CTT-3’ for PCR. Nucleotide sequence of 16S DNA fragment was determined through the sequencing method. The result was then compared with GenBank database to recognize the type of the sample bacteria. DNA isolation and 16S DNA coding genes amplification were carried out using Kit High Fidelity Platinum Taq DNA Polymerase. Afterward, BLAST was applied to identify the phylogenetic tree. The bacteria was capable of indicating the existence of clear zone in a media CMC by congo red staining. The existence of the clear zone associated with the activity of microbes to degrade cellulose. The conclusión of this research based on the results was the sequencing nucleotides genome 16S DNA showed that cellulolytic inoculant was identified as Enterobacter cloacae WPL 214. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi lebih lanjut isolat selulolitik kode WPL 214 yang telah diisolasi dari cairan rumen sapi peranakan ongole dari limbah Rumah Potong Hewan Surabaya. Koloni tunggal dari isolat selulolitik ditumbuhkan pada 5 mL media cair Luria Bertani (LB) dengan komposisisi 1% NaCl, 1% tripton, 0,5% yeast ekstrak, yang mengandung 1% substrat carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) pada suhu 37°C, dengan pengocokan menggunakan shaker incubator selama ±16-18 jam. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua tahap, tahap pertama dilakukan isolasi DNA, tahap kedua dilakukan identifikasi gen penyandi 16S DNA, amplifikasi DNA dengan polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Amplifikasi gen penyandi 16S DNA menggunakan Kit High Fidelity Platinum Taq DNA Polymerase dengan primer forward PB36 5’-AGR GTT TGA TCM TGG CTC AG-3’ dan primer reverse PB38 5’-GMT ACC TTG TTA CGA CTT-3’ yang digunakan untuk PCR. Hasil sekuensing nukleotida dari 16S DNA selanjutnya dibandingkan dengan urutan nukleotida dari GenBank database untuk dilakukan BLAST untuk mengidentifikasi berdasarkan pohon filogeni. Bakteri tersebut mampu menunjukkan adanya zona bening pada media Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) dengan pewarnaan congo red. Adanya zona bening tersebut berhubungan dengan aktivitas mikrob untuk mendegradasi selulosa. Simpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan hasil urutan nukleotida genom 16S DNA serta pohon filogeni, maka isolat selulolitik tersebut diidentifikasi sebagai Enterobacter cloacae WPL 214.

Abstract

AbstrakPerairan Wonorejo merupakan salah satu daerah penghasil kepiting bakau di Surabaya. Namun perairan ini berpotensi mengalami pencemaran logam berat akibat aktivitas yang ada di daratan. Tembaga (Cu) merupakan salah satu jenis logam berat yang mencemari perairan Wonorejo dan jika dalam jumlah besar menyebabkan kerusakan hati organisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi logam berat tembaga pada kepiting bakau dan mengetahui keamanan pangan hasil tangkapan kepiting bakau di Sungai Wonorejo. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2018 dengan pengambilan sampel di tiga stasiun dengan waktu setiap minggu selama tiga kali. Analisis logam berat tembaga (Cu) pada kepiting bakau (Scylla sp.), air dan sedimen dilakukan di Laboratorium Gizi Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Airlangga. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode observasi yang dilakukan di perairan dan tambak di Wonorejo Surabaya. Sampel daging kepiting bakau, air dan sedimen diuji menggunakan alat Atomic Absoption Spectrophotometry (AAS). Hasil kandungan kadar logam berat tembaga (Cu) pada kepiting bakau di Sungai Wonorejo pada stasiun 1 dan 2 yaitu 0,008 mg/kg dan pada stasiun 3 yaitu 0,002 mg/kg dimana nilai kadar ini masih berada di bawah ambang batas baku mutu logam berat Cu pada kepiting yaitu 20 mg/kg.AbstractWonorejo river as one area in Surabaya that has produce mud crab and potentially has heavy metal pollution caused by human activities. Copper (Cu) is on the heavy metals that pollute in the waters Wonorejo. Copper in large quantities can damage the liver. This research was conducted in April 2018 samples taken at three stations. Analysis of heavy metals copper (Cu) in samples of water, sediment, and meat of mud crab (Scylla sp.) is done in Laboratory Nutrition Department of Public Health, Universitas Airlangga. Other research methods of observation methods conducted in coastal areas and pond.Wonorejo Surabaya. Heavy metal testing of copper in samples of water, sediment, and meat of mud crab use Absorption Atomic Spectrophotometry (AAS). Results Cu content of heavy metal levels in the meat of mud crab in the Wonorejo river for site 1 and 2 was 0,008 mg/kg and for site 3 was 0,002 mg/kg. This shows the copper content in the meat of mud crab is under the allowable quality standards for copper of 20 mg/kg.

Abstract

HighlightsLitopenaeus vannamei has been established as alternative to Penaeus monodon to shrimp farming in several countries.Increased importance of in situ microorganisms both in regulating biogeochemical cycles within the culture environment and in directly affecting shrimp growth and survival.To improve water quality in aquaculture is the application of probiotics and/or enzymes to ponds. AbstractIntensive shrimp farming has raised environmental issues due to aquaculture pollution, which is caused by uneaten feed, feces, organic matter, and toxic compounds (ammonia and H2S). One way to solve this issue is by using probiotics. Thus, this study aimed at investigating the effect of probiotic administration (Pseudomonas sp. and Bacillus sp.) at varying concentrations on total organic matter in the rearing water, feed conversion ratio, feed efficiency, and growth rate of white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). This study used a Completely Randomized Design consisting of four treatments: T0 (without the probiotic supplementations), T1 (probiotics at 106 CFU/ml), T2 (probiotics at 107 CFU/mL), T3 (probiotics at 108 CFU/mL) with three replicates each. The results showed that the administration of probiotics at different concentrations had a significant effect on the total amount of organic matter, feed conversion ratio, feed efficiency, and specific growth rate of white shrimp. Administration of probiotics at a concentration of 107 CFU/ ml had the lowest organic matter in the rearing water, 138 mg /Lt. While probiotic administration at 108 CFU/ ml gave the lowest feed conversion ratio (1.22), the highest feed efficiency (81.57%) and the best growth rate (2.25%/day). This research suggests that the administration of 107-108 CFU/ ml probiotics could be applied to reduce organic content in the rearing water and improve the growth performances of white shrimp.

Abstract

(Plectropomus leopardus) or grouper coral trout is one kind of commodities that have high economic value. As marine fisheries commodities are much in demand for large-scale farmers or household level will require broodstock who have qualified to produce quality eggs and a good seed. qualified to produce quality eggs and a good seed. The purpose of research is to gain knowledge in maintenance activities of the broodstock grouper coral trout on a concrete tank by comparing theory and application in the field. Maintenance engineering of coral trout grouper broodstock includes the preparation of concrete tanks, broodstock selection, water quality management, feeding, spawning and harvesting of eggs, and disease. Research in Balai Besar Penelitian dan Pengembangan Budidaya Laut (BBPPBL) Gondol. Penyabangan Village, Subdistrict Gerokgak, Buleleng, Bali. On 18th January – 18th February 2016. Methods of work used in this research is descriptive data retrieval methods include primary data and secondary data. Data retrieval is done by means of active participation, observation, interviews and literature study. Results of Field Work Practice is the broodstock of grouper coral trout are maintained as much 217 with an average weight of 512.9 kg and an average length of 56.1 cm. Maintenance of broodstock grouper coral trout performed in container maintenance the round-shaped sized 100 m3 with a depth of 3 m with inlet and outlet Water management is performed by using a system is running water that flowing water as much as 300% -400%, the quality of sea water showing the value of 34.9 ppt salinity, DO 6.0 ppm, pH 8, and the temperature of 29 ˚C. Feed given in the form trash fish as much as 7-10 kg a day. Grouper coral trout spawning is done naturally by the male and female parent ratio of 1: 2, which produce eggs an average 2,252,292 items. During maintenance activities parasites invade have been found. Parasites invade the broodstock of grouper coral trout is Benedenia sp., Cryptocaryon sp., And viral infections Viral Nervous Necrosis (VNN)

Abstract

Online marketing training is given to the fishermen groups of Karang Baru and Fisheries Vocational School Nasyrul Ulum Aeng Dake covering about the theory of marketing concepts, use of Web media and social media and online marketing-based governance. Community service is expected to be able to provide the ability of the community to package products into attractive packaging and the community can use marketing online so as to expand the reach of marketing, namely reaching regional and national areas. With the community service, it is expected to increase the economy of the seaweed grass cultivation community in Aeng Dake Subdistrict Seaweed Village. Community service activities are carried out by various methods, namely theoretical and practical training and assistance in online marketing media management activities. and practices aimed at students of the Nasyul Ulum Aeng Dake Vocational School of Fisheries Products Processing. The training provided was in the form of introducing various kinds of interesting packaging forms. The training activities continued on the direct practice of product packaging as well as presentations from student students regarding packaged products. The activity aimed at the Karang Baru fishermen group is in the form of assistance in making online marketing media, namely web and social media.

Abstract

Seaweed has been identified to increase endurance, anti-cancer, prevent premature aging, maintain skin smoothness. The potential for developing kombucha tea is very large in Indonesia, because until now there is no industry that produces and sells kombucha tea widely. Kombucha is an herbal product in the form of a drink which is the result of a symbiosis of bacteria and yeast containing a number of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and organic acids. Kombucha tea is also beneficial for health, namely as an antioxidant, antibacterial, improving intestinal microflora, increasing body resistance and lowering blood pressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sugar concentration on the physical and chemical characteristics of Gracilaria verrucosa seaweed kombucha tea. The study was carried out using a one factorial completely randomized design. The treatment of sugar concentration was 9%, 10%, 11% and 12%. The results showed that with the addition of the higher sugar concentration, the higher the viscosity and alcohol content, while the pH value and vitamin C content were inversely proportional to the added sugar concentration.The optimal treatment was found at a sugar concentration of 9% because it had viscosity and pH values that were not much different from P0 as comparison data, and had the highest vitamin C content and the lowest alcohol content.

Abstract

Produk mi yang dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat umumnya digunakan sebagai sumber energi karena memiliki kandungan karbohidrat yang tinggi. Produk mi dengan pencampuran tepung terigu sebagai bahan utama dengan tepung lainnya sebagai tambahan seperti tepung ikan patin yang dinilai memiliki protein yang tinggi. Tepung agar memiliki sifat seperti gelatin serta memiliki kemampuan membentuk gel, sehingga tepung agar dinilai dapat membuat adonan mi tidak mudah putus karena gel agar-agar lebih kokoh dan kuat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung agar terhadap mutu mi ikan patin, dan menentukan jumlah tepung agar dalam menghasilkan mutu terbaik mi ikan patin. Pengaruh penambahan tepung agar terhadap rupa mi ikan patin diduga berpengaruh pada karakteristik fisik mi yang terbentuk. Penelitian ini bersifat ekperimental menggunakan Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu variasi konsentrasi penambahan tepung agar (0 gram, 3 gram, 5 gram, dan 7 gram) ditambahkan didalam bahan utama tepung terigu dan tepung ikan patin. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang nyata (P<0,05) pada karakteristik sensori dan kimia mi basah ikan patin. Hasil uji sensori terbaik yaitu pada mi basah ikan patin dengan penambahan tepung agar P2. Mi basah P2 memiliki karakteristik kimia yaitu kadar air 49,45%, kadar abu 0,63%, protein kasar 12,27%, Lemak kasar 5,68%, Serat Kasar 3,42%, Karbohidrat 36,14%.
