Abstract

ABSTRACT   Rogi, J.E.X. et. al. 2007. The Suistability Land for Corn in the South Minahasa District. Eugenia 13 (3) : 320-326. Based on agri-climate and market prospective, corn is a potential comodity in the South-Minahasa District. From 215.000 ha of South-Minahasa District area, it has 18.437 ha harvest-area and in 2006 produced 52.747 tonnes corn. The above data showed that this district has a possibility to extend the corn planting area in suitable area. To find this suistability area for corn, a spatial data was composed based on soil and climate data using Geographic Information Systemm (GIS). Soil data consisted of texture, pH, C-organic, and cation exchange capacity (CEC), whereas climate data consisted of rainfall and air temperature. Spatial data in the form of land suitability map for corn in the South-Minahasa District was analysed using ArcViewer 3.2. software.   Keywords: Harvest area, soil and climate, spatial data, GIS, ArcViewer 3.2

Abstract

The Use of SWAT Model to Predict Erosion and Sediment in the Catchment Area of Lake Tondano. The objective of this research is to assess the accuracy of SWAT model to predict erosion and sediment in the catchment area of lake Tondano. A comprehensive hydrological model of SWAT is one of several models available to predict erosion dan sediment load. The validation of this model would be tested and it would be acceptable if Nash-Sutcliffe model Efficiency (NSE) coefficient was equal or greater than 0.4. The results in this experiment showed that values of NSE coefficient between sediment load observed and predicted by SWAT were between 0.4 and 0.9. Therefore, the use of SWAT model to predict erosion dan sediment in Tondano lake catchment area is satisfying and very good. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji keakuratan model SWAT dalam menduga erosi dan sedimen di area tangkapan air danau Tondano. SWAT (Soil Water Assesment Tool) merupakan model hidrologi yang komprehensif karena mempertimbangkan kondisi biofisik, iklim dan manajemen area tangkapan air dalam prediksi erosi dan sedimen. Penggunaan model SWAT untuk pendugaan erosi dan sedimen di area tangkapan air danau Tondano dapat diterima apabila hasil validasi sedimen terukur dan sedimen pendugaan menunjukkan koefisien NSE (Nash-Sutcliffe model Efficiency) lebih besar atau sama dengan 0,4. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model SWAT bisa digunakan untuk prediksi erosi dan sedimentasi di area tangkapan air danau Tondano karena koefisien NSE yang diperoleh pada 4 sungai yang bermuara di danau Tondano berkisar antara 0,4 sampai 0,9. Dengan demikian, pendugaan erosi dan sedimen di area tangkapan air danau Tondano dengan model SWAT dapat memberikan hasil yang memuaskan sampai sangat baik. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peran serta masyarakat Kelurahan Batuputih Bawah dan Batuputih Atas Kecamatan Ranowulu dalam upaya pengendalian kebakaran hutan dan lahan. Pengambilan data dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober sampai dengan Desember 2021, menggunakan metode wawancara dengan instrumen kuesioner. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif, data disajikan dalam bentuk diagram dan tabulasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa, Peran Masyarakat Kelurahan Batuputih Terhadap Perlindungan Hutan dan Lahan dari Kebakaran Kecamatan Ranowulu, Kota Bitung mencakup tiga hal yakni (1) pencegahan yaitu mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan/sosialisasi terkait kebakaran hutan, tidak membuang puntung rokok dengan sembarangan, mematikan kembali api yang digunakan saat pembukaan lahan, kegiatan patroli dan monitoring, pemasangan papan peringatan/larangan kawasan rawan kebakaran, dan sanksi pidana bagi mereka yang melanggar; (2) Pemadaman yaitu turut serta saat pemadaman kebakaran hutan; dan (3) Penanganan pasca kebakaran yaitu mengikuti kegiatan.

Abstract

Pembangunan fisik kota mengakibatkan berkurangnya ruang-ruang terbuka menjadi areal terbangun mengakibatkan berkurangnya daerah resapan air dan selanjutnya diikuti berkurangnya air tanah. Salah satu usaha yang dilakukan untuk mempertahankan muka air tanah yaitu dengan merancangkan RTH yang dapat mengkonservasi air. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis luasan ruang terbuka hijau dalam memenuhi kebutuhan air di Kota Tomohon. Kebutuhan air yang dimaksud adalah kebutuhan air domestik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei sampai pada penentuan luas kebutuhan RTH berdasarkan ketersediaan air. Analisis data yang yang dilakukan adalah analisis kebutuhan RTH berdasarkan luasan kota dan analisis kebutuhan RTH berdasarkan jumlah penduduk. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kebutuhan RTH Kota Tomohon dengan luas Wilayah 14,721 ha berdasarkan kebutuhan air, pada tahun 2022 yaitu seluas 3,3778004 ha, pada tahun 2026 yaitu seluas 3,503725 ha dan pada tahun 2031 yaitu seluas 3,684762 ha untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the utilization of Nukila Park green open space, Ternate City, by the people of Ternate City, both socially, economically, and ecologically. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method. The tools and materials used are questionnaires, sound level meters, cameras, anemometers, writing instruments, thermohygrometers, and satellite images. The results of interviews conducted on 100 respondents showed that the Nukila Park green open space provided great benefits to the people of Ternate City with a visit percentage of 73% because of its good ecological quality, comfortable level of comfort and adequate facilities. Nukila Park Green Open Space has 17 types of vegetation consisting of 11 types of trees and 12 types of saplings. The benefits of Nukila Park green open space from the socio-cultural aspect are as a meeting place for direct communication, gathering for certain activities, a place to relax or rest (sit/eat), a place for education and learning about nature. from the ecological aspect, namely the thermal comfort felt by the respondents and biodiversity.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the perception and role of visitors to management in the Patriot Bina Bangsa City Forest (PBBCF) of Bekasi city. The study was conducted from October to November 2021. The selection of respondents was conducted by a simple random sampling method of 97 respondents. The data used is primary data and secondary data. Primary data is collected through questionnaires that have been filled out by visitors who deliberately make visits and visits in 2021. Secondary data was obtained through the Service Technical Execution Unit (STEU) of the PBBCF Bekasi City. Secondary data is also obtained through books obtained from local bookstores and the internet through google scholars in the form of books, journal articles, and thesis related to this research topic, namely the perception and role of visitors to the management of PBBCF Bekasi City. The results of this study showed that the perception of visitors to the management of PBBCF Bekasi City belonged to the category of good (69.62%). This is supported by good activity comfort (73.4%) as well as hard element facilities (66.45%) and soft elements (75.05%) which are good. Visitors already take roles in maintenance roles (81.76%), planning roles (31.6%) as well as roles in development (27.8%).

Abstract

The tourist attraction of the Buntudatu pine forest, Mengkendek District, Tana Toraja Regency is an open nature tourism object of limited production forest managed by the Buntudatu Village Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) as a place for activities such as recreation, camping, relaxing. The purpose of this study was to describe and evaluate the potential development of the Buntudatu pine forest tourism object based on the observations and perceptions of visitors. The variables observed were the attractiveness, accessibility and infrastructure of the Buntudatu pine forest tourism object. Data collection methods were carried out through observation and distributing questionnaires to visitors who were found in the tourist area of Buntudatu pine forest as many as 36 respondents. The data obtained were analyzed based on the assessment of ODTWA (Objects of Natural Tourist Attraction) and the Likert scale. The results showed that based on the ODTWA assessment, the potential development of tourism objects in the Buntudatu pine forest area obtained an attractiveness value of 750 in the medium category, accessibility with a total score of 450 in the high category and infrastructure facilities a total score of 300 in the high category. Based on the visitor's perception of attractiveness, it is categorized as good with a score of 72.66%, accessibility has a good category value with a score of 68.69% from respondents, facilities have a good value with a value of 66.66% and tourist activities get a very good score of 100%.

Abstract

ABSTRACTEutrofication is one of the water pollution that caused by the increase ofthe consentrate of nutrient. This research studied conducted in catchment area ofSungean river sub DAS Noongan, Kab. Minahasa. The objective of this studywere to quantify the eutrofication’s rapid, in this case the value of Nitrogen andFosfor that caused by any land uses in catchment area of Sungean river sub DASNoongan.This research studied was done by taking the sample of water andquantifying water discharge in some point which had been chosen alongcatchment area of Sungean river that represent various land use. Then theconcentrate of N and P in water sample was analyzed in BARISTAND laboratory.Then the data of N and P That transported from each land uses, was analyzed instatistic with using Randomized Block Design (RBD) and spatial analisis(arcview).The result of research study showed that, each land uses gave effect tothe increase of lake eutrofication. Were in Tondano Lake from Sungean river forN was about 467,1076 mg/day and P was about 5,961849 mg/day. The biggestcontribution of N and P was from residential area, it was 464,2352 mg day-1 ha-1dan 5,961849 mg day-1 ha-1.Keywords : Eutrofikasi, Nutrient, River Of Sungean, Landuse

Abstract

ABSTRACTFertilization on red Jabon (Anthocephalus macrophyllus Havil) seedling is necessary to accelerate growth and improve the quality of red Jabon.Seedling quality can be seen from the high growth of seedlings, large stem diameter and number of leaves are many. fertilizer that can be used is fertilizer leaf Gandasil D. Fertilizing through the leaves have some advantages, quickly and easily absorbed by the plant and contains macro and micro nutrients to support the growth of the phase vegetative good. This study aimed to determine the effect of foliar fertilizers on the growth of seedlings Gandasil D Jabon red. The results of statistical tests that have been conducted, obtained with leaf fertilizer concentration of 2 grams / liter of water can provide a good vegetative growth in seedlings of red jabon.Key words : red jabon seedling (Anthocephalus macrophyllus Havil), fertilizer leaf Gandasil D.

Abstract

ABSTRACTFrequency Effect on growth of seedlings water provision jabon Red (Anthocephalus Macrophyllus (Roxb.) Havil)The supply of water to the seeds of red jabon can enhance plant growth. In this research studied the effect of watering frequency on growth jabon water red. This study was conducted in Greenhouse Silviculture Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sam Rarulangi which runs from August s / d in October 2012. The purpose of this study was to determine the intensity of a good watering the seedlings growth jabon red. This study used an experimental method completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. Treatment A Watering the first time (600 cc), B is watering 2 times (300 cc), C is watering 3 times (200 cc) and D is Watering 4 times (150 cc). Growing media used in this study are basic media such as soil, sand and chicken manure with a ratio of 7: 2: 1. The parameters measured were plant height, diameter, leaf number, root volume, dry crown weight, temperature and humidity.The results showed that there is an influence on the frequency of watering is water height growth, diameter, number of leaves, root volume and dry weight of seedlings jabon red canopy. Watering 2 times a day (300 cc), can provide good results in high growth, diameter, number of leaves and dry weight of the canopy. While the root volume parameter, watering 4 times a day (150 cc) gives good results.
