Abstract

The Added Value of Processed Red Ginger Product at UD. VisionBali Herbal Indonesia, DenpasarThis research aimed to determine the added value of red ginger as an herbal drink in one production process and to determine the level of profits earned by the company in the red ginger processing in one production process. Determination of the study area was done purposively and the analytical methods used was the method of added value calculation, i.e. the product value is deducted by the value of raw materials and other supporting materials. It can be concluded from the result of the research that the added value of the red ginger processing business obtained in one production process is Rp. 84.600,00/kg. The added value is obtained from the deduction of the value of the product/output of Rp. 175.000,00/kg with the cost of raw material (input prices) Rp. 25.000,00/kg and the contribution of the cost of other inputs of Rp. 65.400,00/kg. It was also found that the profits gained by the manufacturer from the processed red ginger into herbal drink in one production process was Rp. 200.954,06. The suggestion that can be given to the company is to put more attention in the details of its production costs so as not to result in a low ratio of added value and further to improve the marketing of the products, so that people are interested in re-use of herbal medicine that is free of chemical components.

Abstract

Analysis on Input Optimization of Corn Production in Waimangura Village, Sub-District of West Wewewa, Southwest Sumba RegencyThe purposes of the study were: to determine the influence of factors of productionin corn farming on production and to analyze the level optimum use of productioninputs in the corn farming. The research area was determined purposively. Theanalytical methods used to analyze the production inputs that affect the productionwere a Cobb-Douglass model of Production Function, and marginal product valueanalysis to determine the level of optimization of the use of production inputs. Theresults of the study are as follows: (1) Production inputs used in the corn farming arethe area of land, seed, labor, Urea, NPK fertilizer, M-8 fertilizer, Super ACI fertilizerand fungicides. (2) The use of production inputs in the study area are as follows,Partially, only urea fertilizer significantly affected the corn production, while otherproduction inputs were not significantly affected on the corn farming. (3) The use ofproduction inputs in the study area have not been optimal. For the use of productioninputs of urea, M-8 and Super ACI fertilizers was not optimal. Thus, the use ofproduction inputs need to be added to reach optimal use of production inputs, whileland, labor, seed, NPK fertilizer and fungicides have exceeded the optimal use so thatthe use of inputs should be reduced to gain optimal results.

Analysis Of Household Consumer Demand On Bulk Cooking Oil in Denpasar CityNowadays cooking oil is sold in two forms; one is referred to as bulk cooking oil‘minyak goreng curah’ and the other is referred to as packaged cooking oil ‘minyakdalam kemasan’ with a particular trademark. However, the consumers in Denpasar stillprefer the bulk cooking oil to the packaged cooking oil. This present study was intendedto identify the factors contributing to the demand for the bulk cooking oil and theelasticity of the demand in Denpasar City. The study was conducted at Satrya Market,Sanglah Market, Kreneng Market, and Badung Market, which were all purposivelydetermined. The samples were taken using the accidental sampling technique, totaling40 and were purposively determined. This research uses Cobb-Douglas function withtransformed data. The independent variables were X1 (the price of the bulk cooking oil),X2 (the price of the packaged cooking oil), X3 (the price of chicken), X4 (the number offamily members), and X5 (the family income). The result of the model was as followslnY = -5,876 – 2.184lnX1* + 3.588lnX2* - 0.332lnX3 + 0.311lnX4* + 0.244lnX5*. Thefactors which contributed to the demand for the bulk cooking oil were its price, the priceof the packaged cooking oil, the price of chicken, the number of family members, andthe family income. The price of the bulk cooking oil showed elasticity. The crosselasticity showed that the packaged cooking oil was a substitution commodity and thatchicken was a complementary commodity. Abstract

An analysis of financial performance at Mitra Karya Cooperative in Sidakarya Village South Denpasar A multi-purpose cooperative is an example of institutions designed for economic empowerment that have succeeded in improving the welfare of society in general and its members in particular. Cooperatives usually assess financial performance by looking at the increase of cash, assets, and profits using profitability ratio analysis. However, performace should also be reviewed using other types of ratio analysis such as liquidity ratios, solvency ratios, and activity ratios as well as trend analysis. This study aims to determine the financial performance of Mitra Karya Multipurpose Cooperative between 2015 to 2019 using financial ratio analysis based on the Regulation of the State Minister for Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia Number 06/Per/M.KUKM/V/2006 and the least squares method to analyze the trend. The results of the analysis show that several types of ratios are classified as not good, namely the current ratio, quick ratio, cash ratio, debt to asset ratio, debt to equity ratio, and total asset turnover.
