Abstract

Diatomea investigation in the body of drowning victims is one of important investigation todetermination the drowning victims location. Diatomea is sould in the lung or another organfrom the body of victims as prove of drowning intra-vitality it means the victims are still alivewhen they are in the water and they are dead because of it. Diatomea species determining can beconcluded as a supporting diagnose to identify the location of drowning victims by comparingthe diatomea in the victims body with diatomea species in the water this research is a descriptiveresearch which is purposed for recognizing the species and the diatomea abundant in theRokan’s River Estuary of Bangko Sub-district and Batu Hampar Sub-district Rokan HilirRegency this research sample is taken from five research of stasions as purposive sampling. Thisresearch was done in April and May 2013 at Rokan’s River Estuary in Sub-district BangkoAnd Subdistrict Batu Hampar Rokan Hilir Regency. Diatomea investigation was done by usingBinocular microscope. This determining was done by using Masaharu and Yunfang atlas theabundant was searched by counted and numbered by using American Public Health Associations(APHA) formula.Diatomea was founded eight species they are: Aulocoseira sp, Diatoma sp, Nitzchia sp,Isthmia sp, Melosira sp, Navicula sp, Skeletonema sp, Bitdulphia sp. The abundant of diatomeais founded 11152,2 sel/L when the water comes up and I found 9132,6 sel/L when the water comedown with the Diatoma sp as the most dominant diatomea as a mount as 4986,4 sel/L when thewater comes up and with diatoma sp as the most dominant Diatomea as amount as 3799,8 sel/L.Keyword : Rokan’s river estuary drowning, species and abundant diatomea

Abstract

This research was conducted from July - August 2010 in Sungai BakauRegion, Sinaboi Sub Distric, Rokan Hilr Regency, Riau Province. This research aimsto identify spesies mangrove in Sungai Bakau region, lokan abundance and also tounderstand the relationship between mangrove density with abundance of bivalvia. The result showed that 9 species of mangrove were found: Avicennia marina,Avicennia alba, Rhizophora apiculata, R. mucronata, Bruguiera gymnorhyza, Soneratiaalba, S. coseolaris, and Nypa fruticans. Density of mangrove between 743 – 2.001trees/ha. In each stasion, there were 2 kinds of bivalvia such as Polymesoda expansa andPharus sp. The abundance of bivalvia 3.400 – 5.645 organism/m2. The highestabundance was obtained in the 3rd station (5.645 organism/m2), while the lowest was inthe 2nd station (3.400 organism/m2). To found out relation between mangrove densityand bivalvia abundance, the data were analized by using simple linier regretion.Theregression line test between mangrove density with abundance of bivalvia showed theequation Y=686,486 + 2,470 X with determine coefisien (R2) is 0,980.Keyword : mangrove, bivalvia, density, abundance, Sungai Bakau

Abstract

This research was conducted on August until October 2011 at estuary ofSiak River, Riau province. Aimed of this research to mesuered water quality atestuary of Siak river. Physically, have low water transparency and have high totalsolid (TSS), so that have influence to pH and low of water productivity. Keywords: Siak River, Physical, Chemical, Plankton

Abstract

This research was conducted from Mei to June 2009 in the NagedangLakes Giri Sako Villages Logas Tanah Darat Sub-District Kuantan SingingiDistrict, Riau Province. The objective of this research was to predict waterproductivity as water fertilizing level from phytoplankton chlorophyll – α. Surveymethods were used for analysis this research were carried out by combining thephysic and chemical water parameters and also biological parameter(phytoplankton organism) observations. The predict results of this research that taken from 4 stations. It has beenfound average of chlorophyll- α as secchi depth were 37,783 – 43,766 (μg/l); 3class of phytoplankton such as Cyanophyta (15 species), Chlorophyta (11species), and Bacillariophyta (7 species) with average of phytoplanktonpopulation value were 29.873 – 48.237 ind/l; average of physical waterparameters that consist of depth : 235 – 792,3 m, thermo : 28,8 – 29 oC, secchi :74 – 80,3 cm, turbidy : 18,47 – 19,38 NTU, pH : 5,16 – 5,43: Oxygen : 5,26 –5,86 mg/l: carbon dioxide : 5,86 – 8,46 mg/l: Nitrate : 0,0606 – 0,0776 mg/l andphosphate : 0,0237 – 0,0253 mg/l. That value was mean that chlorophyll – α ofphytoplankton in Nagedang Lakes were very productive caused chlorophyllconcentration more than 20 μg/l and based on average of phytoplanktonpopulation shown that Nagedang Lakes were eutrophic (very fertilize) withpopulation more than 104 ind/l. Phytoplankton population had positive correlationwith chlorophyll concentration. The physical and chemical water parameter stillgood for aquatic organism such as phytoplankton and fishes.

Abstract

Development Policy, Regulation and clean water resources controls in Pekanbaru Town can beachieved by constructing appropriate permit and regulation. However, the current permit andregulation do not include several important aspects such as domestic waste pollution limit forexcrement waste in individual housing. On the other hand, poor coordination for protection ofclean water resources is giving housing developer a chance to build a house according to theyown standard, which is far from expectations. In fact, from 80 houses, that have already builtand owned, indicate that only 26 percent of the houses have located septic tank 10 meter awayfrom the house’s clean water resources. Nevertheless, 90 percent of the houses do not havewater resistant septic tanks and about 40 percent the septic tank never been empty. The otherproblem is that clean water quantity 48,75 percent of the house has this issue, followed by waterodor problem 74,4 percent and the last problem is the total house has breach legal limit for theamount of coliform in their water has reached 50 percent. It is recommended that Pekanbarugovernment have to improve their current Clean Water Resources policy by creating newstandard operational procedures (SOP), and increase the supervision of housing development, especially in real estate industry in Pekanbaru Area as well as the function and sectionimprovement of current duties. When the policy is improved with SOP and supported by theincreasing of supervision and coordination, Clean Water Resources pollution can be controlledand minimise.
