Abstract

This study aims to investigate attributes of tempeh desired by consumer households, consumers satisfaction levels on tempeh, the pattern of tempeh demand, and factors affecting tempeh demand in Bandar Lampung City. This study is conducted in Bandar Lampung City. Data is collected in December 2016 to February 2017. The population in this study is household in Bandar Lampung City. The samples employed in this study are 75 households chosen by multistage random sampling method. The results showed that tempeh attributes  wanted by consumer households were cheap price, good taste, unique looks, good packaging, hygienic tempeh, quality standard, containing good nutrients, and accesibility location to purchase tempeh. Consumer households in Bandar Lampung City were satisfied by tempeh products. Tempeh demand patterns by consumer households in Bandar Lampung City were as follows: the average of tempeh purchases by household was 1,600 grams per week and the average of purchase frequency was 1.72 times per week. The total of tempeh consumption was 66.67 percent processed by frying, mostly be purchased at the market. Affecting factors on tempeh demand were price of tempeh, vegetable oil, wheat flour, and eggs.Key words: demand, consumer satisfaction, tempeh

Abstract

This objective of tis research was to: 1) Determine whether the Central Lampung District has a comparative advantage and competitive advantage in rice production. 2) Determine how the sensitivity of changes in output prices and input prices to the comparative and competitive advantage in rice production. Location of the study was conducted at the Rama Utama Village and Ramayana Village, Seputih Raman Subdistrict of Central Lampung District. This research was conducted by survey and interview methods to farmers by using a questionnaire that had been prepared. Respondents in this research is rice farmer in the Seputih Raman subdistrict of Central Lampung District, totally 73 farmers were selected by simple random sampling method (simple random sampling). Types of data used are primary and secondary data obtained through direct interviews and offices or agencies. To answer the first objective analysis was used Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM) and to answer the second objective was used sensitivity analysis. Results showed that: 1) rice farming in Central Lampung District has a comparative advantage and competitive advantage with a value of PCR (Private Cost Ratio) equal to 0.4635 and the value of the DRC (Domestic Resource Cost) of 0.4368 so that feasible and profitable to be conducted. 2) comparative and competitive advantage of rice production in Central Lampung District is sensitive to changes in output prices. Increase or decrease of output prices will affect the comparative and competitive advantage of of rice production in Central Lampung District. Abstract

The objective of this study to analyze the dominant factors that potentially could affect the food security of households in the village of Trimomukti, Candipuro District and the village of Kelawi, Bakauheni District, South Lampung Regency; look for the dominant factors that potentially could affect the nutritional status of children and how the relationship between household food security levels with nutritional status of children in the region. Results showed the average household energy adequacy in both villages is still highly dependent on food energy contribution of cereals, especially rice. Based on logistic regression model, Greater the number of members in a household with low income and food expenditure against revenue high, and obtained a principal food source rice from membeli or aid and subsidies as well as from the community Kelawi Village will have greater opportunities for prisoners vulnerable to lack of food.Based on ordinal logistic regression model, increasing age of a toddler with food consumption of energy sources that do not meet the need and the ratio of food expenditure of households on incomes greater, the chances these children will experience moderate malnutrition will be higher and even worse. Seen the relationship between household food security with nutrition status, if a food is resistant to household, the nutritional status of children under five will get better. Regional differences in factors that contribute to the adequacy of the village of rice per capita did not have a significant influence on household level food security and nutritional status of children. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the profitability, factors that affect production and production efficiency of cassava farming.  The research is conducted by survey method in Natar District of South Lampung Regency from June to August 2017. The 56 research samples are obtained by simple random sampling method.  Primary data is obtained from direct questionnaires interview with cassava farmers and secondary data obtained from several related institutions.  Data is analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by income analysis and production function of Cobb Douglas.  The results showed that cassava farming in Natar District of South Lampung Regency was profitable for farmers of Cassesart variety and not profitable for other varieties.  Factors affecting cassava farming for respondents of Cassesart variety were land area, urea fertilizer and labor, for respondents of other varieties were land area and labor.  Production process was not efficient and in increasing return to scale phase.Key words: cassava, efficiency, production, profit

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the income of rice farming, the factors affecting of rural youth interest to continue rice farming, pull and push factors to work in agriculture sector. This research was purposively conducted in Trimurjo Sub District and Seputih Banyak Sub District, Central Lampung Regency from March to April 2018. There are 63 respondents taken by using proportional random sampling. The data of this research are collected by using survey method. The research data was analyzed bydescriptive qualitative and quantitative. The descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis was used to analyze farm income, binary logistic regression, and Spearman test. The results of this research show that the income of rice farming is Rp15.181.983,23 in the first planting season and Rp16.931.595,67 in the second planting season. Factors affecting of youth interest to continue rice farming are land area, age, education level, distance of youth residence to the city center. The pull factors to work in agriculture sector are the income of rice farming and availability of land area. The push factors to work in agriculture sector are limited employment opportunities, low level of education and too much free time.Keywords : farm, interest, pull factor, push factor, youth

Abstract

This research aimed to analyses the productivity, thefinancial of feasibility and sensitivity of machine cane harvester. This research was a case study in PT Lajuperdana Indah Site Komering, South Sumatera. The data was collected in December 2016 andanalyzed by descriptive quantitative. The result of research suggested that big productivity machine cane harvester of 17.91 ton per hour work or 0.31 hectare per hour work or three hours of work to finish one hectare of land. The use of the machine cane harvester on PT Lajuperdana Indah Site Komering financially worth it to implement. The used of the machine cane harvester was sensitive at a change in the production of amounted to 19percent and increase in the17.58 percent but the value of payback period of the cane harvester was not sensitive.Keywords: cane harvester machine, financially analyse, productivity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the main farming income, annual household income, welfare, and factors that influence the level of household welfare. Data were collected in June - August 2018. The research location was determined intentionally because the Kedaung Village was one of the regions with high poverty levels in the Kemiling District of Bandar Lampung City. The number of respondents in this study was 40 respondents taken using simple random sampling technique. The analytical methods used were farm income analysis, household income analysis, and welfare level analysis. The results of the study explained that the average main farming income was differentiated based on two cropping patterns, namely: first cropping pattern (beans - beans) amounting to Rp2,537,872.35 /0,08 ha per year, while in the second cropping pattern (beans - long beans) amounting to Rp2,830,339.88 /0,07ha per year. The average household income every year based on cropping patterns was Rp23,317,784.40 per year of the first cropping pattern and Rp13,841,450.10 per year of the second cropping pattern. As many as 95 percent of agricultural households in Kedaung Sub-District, Kemiling District, Bandar Lampung City are in the category of unprosperous. This situation occurs because of low social, educational, and health scores.Keywords: agriculture household, income, welfare indicators

Abstract

This study aims to analyze supply chain performanc, and added value in kelanting agroindustry in Gantimulyo Village. This research was conducted at six kelanting agroindustries in Gantimulyo Village, Pekalongan District, East Lampung Regency. Data collection was conducted in February 2019. Data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. Performance measurements were made by  comparing indicators on FoodSCOR Card indicators. The calculation of added value used Hayami added value method. The results showed the flow pattern of supply chain started from farmers and agent as the main suppliers of raw materials. The perfomance of kelanting agroindustri showed that the average indicators were good based on indicators comparison of FoodSCOR card. The added value shows a positive value, meaning that kelanting agroindustry is feasible to be developed. Key words: added value, kelanting, supply chain.

Abstract

This research aims were to determine the procurement system saburai goat livestock business production facilities, saburai goat livestock business income, saburai goat production cost, saburai goat marketing channel, saburai goat agribusiness system supporting services and the role of Saburai Mandiri Producer Livestock Cooperative (KPP) in the saburai goat agribusiness system.  The research was taken a case study at KPP Saburai Mandiri located in Gisting Sub-District Tanggamus District.  The procurement of saburai goat livestock business production facilities has been right with an accuracy level of 83,96 percent.  Saburai goat livestock business average income was Rp22.563.979,21 per year.  Saburai goat production cost was Rp31.248,68 per kg.  Saburai goat marketing channel was divided into two types product which each has four marketing channels.  Saburai goat agribusiness system supporting services were financial institutions (banks), extension agencies, government policies, farmer/livestock groups, transportation facilities, information and communication technology and markets.  The role of KPP Saburai Mandiri in saburai goat livestock agribusiness system was already good enough. Key words: Agribusiness, cooperative, livestock business, saburai goat.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efficiency of corn marketing. The research method used is a survey method. Data collection was carried out in Bandar Sribhawono District of East Lampung Regency in January - March 2019. Farmer respondents were chosen randomly and marketing agency respondents were taken by following the marketing flow. Data used are primary and secondary data. The analysis method used is the S-C-P (Structure, Conduct, Performance) model. The results showed that the corn marketing system in Bandar Sribhawono Sub-district has not been efficient, because the market structure faced by farmers was the oligopsonistic market structure, market behavior shows that farmers are still disadvantaged and act as price takers, there was one marketing channel with producer share (PS) below 55%, high marketing margin and profit margin ratio (RPM) does not spread evenly.  Key words: corn, efficiency, marketing
