A sample of 40 study subjects was selected by fixed-exposure sampling from outpatients with post-stroke visiting the Neurology Clinics, RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. They were grouped into two, male and female. The data was analyszed using multiple logistic regression model on SPSS version 17 for Windows. Results: Female patients had 1/100 times as many level of adherence to post-stroke vascular dementia than male patients (OR = 0.01; 95%CI 0.001 to 0.25; p = 0.004).
