Abstract

This study aims to develop HOTS-based digital worksheets on three-dimensional material for grade XII high school students. This LKPD will also be equipped with a video as a stimulus in learning. This development research refers to the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluation). From the results of the research that has been described, it can be concluded that the HOTS-based digital worksheets on the three-dimensional material developed consist of 3 stages, namely introduction, content, and closing. The components in the HOTS-based digital LKPD in this three-dimensional material consist of cover pages, basic competencies, competency achievement indicators, learning objectives, apperception, basic theory, tips and tricks, sample questions, discussion of sample questions, activity instructions, problems about three dimensions, conclusions, and aphorisms related to the material. Based on the validation test of learning experts, it was found that the percentage of feasibility of learning HOTS-based digital worksheets on three-dimensional material was 70% or quite feasible. Meanwhile, for the media expert validation test, the percentage of eligibility is 95% or classified as very feasible. Based on the validation test, the percentage of the average value of 82.5% or if interpreted, the HOTS-based digital worksheet on this three-dimensional material is classified as very feasible to be used as a learning medium for teachers and students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the validity of Calculus II teaching materials based on virtual classes; the effectiveness of teaching materials that have been designed towards improving students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. The method used in this research is ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The research subjects were students of Informatics Engineering UNINDRA 4th semester who took Calculus II courses consisting 2 (two) classes, namely the experimental class consisting of 14 students and 15 students of the control class. Instruments and data collection techniques used in the form of observation, tests, and questionnaires. Data analysis used independent sample test and normalized gain score. The result showed that Calculus II teaching materials were based on virtual class was valid and effective to improve students’ understanding of concepts so it can be concluded that the teaching materials for Calculus II based on virtual classes are valid and suitable for use in learning and are effective and practical to improve student’s conceptual understanding.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh pendekatan saintifik pada pembelajaran jarak jauh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP Negeri 86 Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode quasi experiment dengan post-test only control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan untuk menentukan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol adalah teknik purposive sampling dan cluster random sampling. Kelas tersebut juga telah memenuhi syarat dalam uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan kesamaan rata-rata. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Instrumen tes berbentuk soal uraian yang terdiri dari enam soal yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai t_hitung=3,785>t_tabel=1,669, maka tolak H_0 pada taraf signifikansi α=0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pendekatan saintifik pada pembelajaran jarak jauh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP Negeri 86 Jakarta. Berdasarkan perhitungan besar pengaruh diperoleh d=0,9, dengan presentase sebesar 82% yang termasuk ke dalam kategori besar.

Abstract

This study aims to gather information about the needs of elementary school teachers in the application of effective mathematics learning. This research is part of a research entitled Development of Learning Videos Based on Contextual Teaching and Learning Approaches to Improve Student Learning Outcomes of Primary Schools in Palembang City. The method used is research and development in the form of survey data. The survey method was carried out using a questionnaire in the Google form on 39 teachers in Palembang. The results of the distribution of the questionnaire interpreted that elementary school teachers were in dire need of media, especially in the form of contextual based mathematics learning videos. The conclusion of this research is the need for the development of learning videos to facilitate teachers in teaching contextual mathematics so that it will have a good impact on learning outcomes of elementary school students.

Abstract

The higher-order thinking ability of students in Indonesia is still in the low category. This research aims to see the effect of the application of a problem-based learning model on higher-order mathematical thinking skills in terms of student's initial abilities and mathematical beliefs. This research uses a quasi-experimental design with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Data on students' higher-order mathematical thinking skills were taken using a test instrument. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 27 Jakarta with a total of 165 students obtained from cluster random sampling. Based on the analysis of the three-way ANOVA test, it was found that the problem-based learning model had a positive effect on students' higher-order thinking skills. Problem-based learning model gives better results than conventional learning models. This also applies to students with the initial ability and mathematical beliefs in the high category. Problem-based learning can be an alternative for teachers to improve students' higher-order mathematical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Brain Based Learning terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang ditinjau dari kreativitas. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN Pantai Harapan Jaya 01 Kecamatan Muara Gembong, dengan menggunakan penelitian eksperimen desain treatment by level 2 x 2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil bahwa; 1) Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diberikan perlakukan model Brain Based Learning, 2) Terdapat interaksi model pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis ditinjau dari kreativitas, 3) Kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang diberikan perlakuan model Brain Based Learning lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diberikan perlakuan model Ekspositori pada siswa yang memiliki kreativitas tinggi, dan 4) Kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang diberikan perlakuan model Brain Based Learning lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diberikan perlakuan model Ekspositori pada siswa yang memiliki kreativitas rendah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasimatematis siswa melalui pendekatansaintifikdenganmodel pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Talk Write (TTW) di kelas VIII-E SMP Negeri 115 Jakarta. Kemampuan komunikasimatematisadalah kemampuan mengkomunikasikan matematika baik secara lisan maupun tulisan dan cara berbagi ide serta mengklarifikasi pemahaman, maka melalui komunikasi, ide-ide menjadi objek refleksi, diskusi, serta perbaikan. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus dengan setiap siklusnya terdiri dari 2 pertemuan. Setiap siklus dilakukan tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, analisis, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini berlangsung dari bulan oktobersampainovember 2016 di kelas VIII-E SMP Negeri 115Jakarta tahun ajaran 2016/2017.Pada setiap siklus, siswa diberikan tes akhir siklus untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasimatematis siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi, lembar tes, pedoman wawancara dan alat dokumentasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika melaluipendekatansaintifikdenganmodel pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasimatematis siswa. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata tes akhir yang diberikan pada setiap siklus. Rata-rata nilai tes akhir kemampuan komunikasimatematis kelas VIII-E pada siklus I yaitu 56,48, dan siklus II meningkat menjadi 68,29 dan siklus III meningkat menjadi 87,73.

Abstract

Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan yang dilakukan terhadap peserta didik dan guru SMP Terbuka 264 Jakarta Barat, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme pada pokok bahasan bentuk aljabar. Pendekatan konstruktivisme yang didukung beberapa penelitian relevan dianggap mampu membangkitkan motivasi dan minat belajar peserta didik. Implikasi pendekatan konstruktivisme yang diterapkan dalam pengembangan modul ini adalah Orientasi, Elicitasi, Restruksi Ide, Aplikasi Ide, dan Review. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan adalah modul pembelajaran matematika. Bahan ajar telah melalui validasi dan uji coba lapangan dengan instrumen penilaian yang valid. Modul diuji oleh ahli materi dan bahasa dengan nilai akhir 87,06% serta ahli media dengan nilai akhir 87,22%. Uji coba perorangan dan kelompok kecil dilakukan pada Juli 2018 di SMP Terbuka 264 Jakarta Barat dengan nilai akhir 88,72% dan 86,38%, dilanjutkan dengan uji coba kelompok besar dan guru dengan nilai akhir 88,76% dan 90,93%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan dari hasil validasi dan uji lapangan bahwa modul yang dihasilkan berada dalam kategori sangat baik dan layak digunakan. Pengembangan modul dapat diterima dengan baik oleh peserta didik dan guru, serta dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika.

The influence of Cooperative Learning Model Type Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) against an increase in the ability of the Mathematical problem solving of students in SMP Negeri 3 Kota Tangerang. Thesis. Jakarta: Mathematics Education Courses. Faculty of mathematics and natural sciences. State University of Jakarta. 2019. The research was distributed by the student's mathematical problem solving ability are low caused still present the implementation of learning mathematics based on teachers and the lack of teachers in the conditioning provide the capability of solving mathematical problems. One of the attempts to fix it is to implement cooperative learning model type CIRC. this research aims to know the influence of cooperative learning model type CIRC against an increase in the ability of the mathematical problem solving of students in SMP Negeri 3 Kota Tangerang. This research was conducted on grade VIII in SMP Negeri 3 Kota Tangerang 2018/2019 school year. Sampling techniques using cluster random sampling by specifying a class experiment in class VIII-4 (cooperative learning model type CIRC.) and one control class in class VIII-5 (model learning conventional) of four classes randomly selected between VIII4-VIII7 class. Data analysis techniques using a t-test with a test of normality test analysis prerequisite test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and its homogeneity by using Fisher test. The first hypothesis to be tested, namely an increase in the ability of mathematical problem solving of students with the influence of cooperative learning model type CIRC in class experiments. The test results showed tcalculate = 33.3147 ttable = 1.9949 and then accept H1 tcalculate > ttable criteria, meaning that there is an increase in the ability of the mathematical problem solving of students in classes that use cooperative learning model type CIRC. The second hypothesis to be tested, namely an increase in the ability of the mathematical problem solving of students with the influence of conventional learning model in the control class. The test results indicate tcalculate = 31.7777 and ttable = 1.9949 then accept H1 tcalculate > ttable criteria, meaning that there is an increase in the ability of the mathematical problem solving of students in classes that use conventional learning. The third hypothesis will be tested i.e. mathematical problem solving ability improvement is higher between the two classes. The test results indicate tcalculate = 6.0357 and ttable = 1.9949, then accept H1 tcalculate > ttable criteria on a 5% significance level, meaning there is an increased ability of the mathematical problem solving of students in classes that use the model cooperative learning type CIRC higher than those using conventional learning. The results of hypothesis testing gives the conclusion that there is an influence of the application of the cooperative learning model type CIRC against an increase in the ability of the mathematical problem solving of students in SMP Negeri 3 Kota Tangerang

Abstract

High-level mathematical thinking skills are the main goal in learning mathematics. So far, the practice of learning in schools has not facilitated students to develop these abilities. PMRI (the Indonesian version of realistic mathematics education) is a learning approach that is oriented towards the students` ability to understand the realistic situations that can be imagined and integrated with the ability to understand concepts, use progressive mathematical models, interactivity and take advantage of student contributions are expected to improve students' abilities in learning mathematics. This study aims to determine the implementation of PMRI approach in improving high-order thinking skills of mathematics in class XI SMA Mutiara Bangsa 2 Tangerang on limit function through e-learning. This research was developed based on a research design that includes three, those are preliminary design, experiment, and retrospective analysis. This study was designed with five meetings using six research subjects. The subjects of this study consisted of six students who were selected based on their evaluation test and their activeness during learning process. The research instruments analyzed were formative and summative test results based on higher-order thinking skills, findings note, student questionnaires, and the hypothetical learning trajectory (HLT). The results obtained from the retrospective analysis show that the implementation of PMRI in learning and instruction of limit function is able to develop higher-order thinking skills of class XI students of SMA Mutiara Bangsa 2 Tangerang.
