Abstract

Pembahasan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan media boneka tangan dan pengaruhnya terhadap keterampilan berbicara pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas III B di MI At-Thayyibah Kecamatan Gambut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode pra-experimen. Subjeknya adalah semua siswa kelas IIIB berjumlah 22 orang. Peneliti menemukan bahwa: 1) Penerapan media boneka tangan pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia terlaksana dengan baik, terlihat dari perencanaan, aktiviatas siswa dan guru, serta respon siswa terhadap media yang ditunjukkan oleh perhatian, antusias, semangat, keaktifan, memahami materi, kerjasama kelompok. Siswa memperoleh pengalaman baru dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara melalui kegiatan bercerita. 2) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan media boneka tangan terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di MI At-Thayyibah Kecamatan Gambut.

Abstract

In teaching writing, contextual learning means learning to unleash the full potential of a student naturally. Students are given the opportunity to apply and develop ideas critically and communicative in the form of written language which can be meaningful for themselves and for those who read it. This thesis aims are: 1) To know the differences in the learning result of Indonesian subject in poetry writing material among the students who learn with contextual approach and the students who learn with conventional approach, and 2) To know the effectiveness of using contextual approach in improving the learning result of Indonesian subject on poetry writing material. This research used a quasi-experimental design. The subject was the fifth grade students of MIN Selat Hulu Kapuas academic year 2012/2013. Class Va as experimental group and class Vb as control group. The taught material is writing poetry. The first data of students? ability is taken from pretest result, while the posttest result is used as research data. The results showed that there are significant differences between the students? learning results of Indonesian subject in experimental group with control group. If seen from the average value of the posttest, the results of learning in the experimental group (75.87) is higher than the average value of the control group (68.13). This difference was also confirmed by the results of the calculations of Independent-sample T-Test which significance value is smaller than the sig. = 0.05 which is equal to 0.002. This showed that the use of the contextual approach can improve students? learning result. Meanwhile, the effectiveness test calculations showed that the average value of g factor in the experimental group showed 0.49 points. This means, the use of a contextual approach in Indonesian subjects is quite effective in improving student learning result in the subject matter writing poetry.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe 1) the implementation of the 12-year compulsory education policy in Kolaka Regency; 2) obstacles encountered in implementing the 12-years compulsory education policy in Kolaka Regency; 3) the efforts of schools and the government in overcoming problems encountered in the implementation of 12-year compulsory education in Kolaka Regency. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Informants in this study are: a) Secretary of the Kolaka Regency Education Office; b) head of the primary and secondary education division of Kolaka Regency; c) the principal; d) parents of students, and e) students. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, and documentation. Stages of data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. To check the validity of the data using the triangulation of data and sources. Research result; 1) the implementation of the 12-year compulsory education policy in Kolaka Regency consists of 3 main elements, namely implementing the policy. the program, target group. 2) the constraints to implementing the 12-year compulsory education in Kolaka Regency are the lack of budget, zoning system, lack of parents' understanding of education and lack of children's interest in school, a weak economy, lack of facilities and infrastructure, lack of teachers in remote areas. 3) efforts made on the implementation of 12-year compulsory education namely the Department of Education prioritize the more important and urgent, schools accept according to the capacity of the class and students can register outside the zoning area, provide understanding to the community about the importance of education, conduct socialization to the community to participate free of charge and provide scholarships for underprivileged children, submit proposals for the procurement of facilities and infrastructure, appoint contract teachers to remote areas.Keywords: Policy, Implementation, Compulsory Education Abstrak:Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan 1) implementasi kebijakan wajib belajar 12 tahun di Kabupaten Kolaka; 2) kendala yang dihadapi dalam implementasi kebijakan wajib belajar 12 tahun di Kabupaten Kolaka; 3) upaya sekolah dan pemerintah dalam mengatasi masalah yang dihadapi dalam implementasi wajib belajar 12 tahun di Kabupaten Kolaka.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: a) Sekretaris Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Kolaka; b) kepala bagian pendidikan dasar dan menengah Kabupaten Kolaka; c) kepala sekolah; d) orang tua siswa; dan e) siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Tahapan analisis data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Untuk mengecek keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi data dan sumber. Hasil penelitian; 1) implementasi kebijakan wajib belajar 12 tahun di Kabupaten Kolaka terdiri dari 3 unsur utama yaitupelaksana kebijakan. adanya program, sasaran kelompok. 2) kendala implementasi wajib belajar 12 tahun di Kabupaten Kolaka yaituminimnya anggaran, sistem zonasi, kurangnya pemahaman orang tua tentang pendidikan dan kurangnya minat anak untuk sekolah, ekonomi lemah, sarana dan prasarana yang kurang, kekurangan guru pada daerah terpencil. 3) upaya yang dilakukan pada implementasi wajib belajar 12 tahun yaitu Dinas Pendidikan memperioritaskan yang lebih penting dan mendesak, sekolah menerima sesuai dengan daya tampung kelas dan peserta didik boleh mendaftar di luar wilayah zonasi, memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat mengenai pentingnya pendidikan, melakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat agar ikut berpartisipasi tanpa dipungut biaya dan memberikan beasiswa bagi anak yang kurang mampu, mengajukan proposal pengadaan sarana dan prasarana, mengangkat guru kontrak pada daerah terpencil.Kata kunci: Kebijakan, Implementasi, Wajib Belajar

Abstract

Bckground of the study: Digital curation activities are necessary for organizing digital archives to be accessible to the present and future. The problem in this research is that information and library management (MIP) students who have previously received records management (MRA) courses through digital curation have not fully implemented digital curation in managing digital archives.Purpose: This study aims to find out how MIP students curate digital archives of their photos and documents on the smartphone.Method: The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach and technique. Data used in interviews with five MIP students as informants.Findings: The results show that information in conducting digital curation activities such as digital object evaluation and discussion, life cycle and digital object management on an ongoing basis, and keeping them accessible, each individual has a unique and different way.Conclusion: Factor needs, memories, and usefulness of digital archive become a more determining factor in students in digital curation.

Abstract

Kinerja kerja dosen merupakan suatu hal yang sangat penting dalam upaya lembaga perguruan tinggi untuk mencapai tujuannya. oleh karena itu perguruan tinggi perlu melakukan evaluasi dan penilaian yang menggambarkan kinerja dosen sebagai prestasi kerja yang dihasilkan oleh dosen tersebut sesuai dengan peranannya. Evaluasi dan penilaian kinerja dosen yang dilakukan di STT Harapan masih belum maksimal sehingga tingkat kesadaran setiap dosen untuk meningkatkan kinerjanya juga tidak maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menerapkan data mining algoritma C4.5 dalam menentukan rekam jejak kinerja dosen berdasarkan 3 atribut input(publikasi, pengabdian dan pengajaran) dan 3 atribut output (kinerja “kurang” “cukup” dan “tinggi”). Hasil penelitian berupa decision tree beserta rule yang memberikan informasi hasil evaluasi kinerja dosen STT Harapan Medan dalam melaksanakan tri darma perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

Later fishing village Bengkulu Bengkulu City Market preoccupied with collectingwaste (residual leaching) of coal waste in the river Bengkulu. The waste collection bringadditional income for the families of fishermen who collect it. This study aims todetermine how many additional (contributed) coal waste collection for the familyincome of fishermen. Based on the results of the study contribute to the waste collectionfishermen families are quite large, reaching 41.91 % of total family income. Justunfortunately not all of the fishing village of Bengkulu market perform these activities,although they are a lot of free time, not a good time and the time after return to sea tosea. It is recommended to fishermen who have a lot of spare time to use it do extraefforts producer, for example coal waste collection (residual leaching) of coal miners .

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study are to:  (1) describe that the learning media of clipping is able to raises the values of togetherness which can be perceived by the students; (2) describe that the learning media of clipping is able to improve the sense of togetherness between the students within their society; (3) describe several factors that is related to the learning media of clipping in Civic Education. The method used for this research was descriptive method in form of a Survey Studies. The study was conducted to the third grade students of SDN 18 Sungai Kakap. The data for this researh was collected through direct observation, direct communication, indirect communication, and documentary technique. The data collection tools used were interview questionnaire guide, checklist, survey notes, and written notes. The collected data were analysed by using chi-square formula. The results of the study shows that rate of 24.08 are obtained from the student’s answer sheet, meaning that the purpose of learning media of clipping are containing the values of togetherness which can be perceived by the students in learning of civic education. Learning media of clipping is able to improve the sense of togetherness between the students within their society, with the result of 21.12. The factors that are related to the purpose of the medium results the rate of 24.44. The purpose of the learning media of clipping has corresponded to the related lessons, with the result of 17.68.Keywords: Learning Media, The Medium of Clipping, Civic Education

Abstract

The 2016 US Presidential Election has become world’ great issue since the politician’s speech is mainly concerned with persuading or making the listeners believe with what they are saying. It is a concession speech of Hillary Clinton’s that brings out more inspirations to the public than the value of the failure itself.  Based on that phenomenon, the researcher was interested in analyzing Hillary Clinton’s concession speech by investigating the role of language in communication analysis through speech acts based on the theory of J.L Austin-Searle and genre analysis The researcher decided to raise the constructivism analysis of discourse which analyzes the context behind the languages used in the forms of speech. The results showed that its speech acts types according to its locutionary acts analysis : Declarative (12),  Imperative (12), illocutionary acts: Representatives (11), Commisives (3), Directives (9), Declaratives (3), and Expressives (9), and variety of perlocutionary acts (to get people to know, do something, express feeling, and praise). This expository speech mostly characterized by the appreciation and encouragement to the public (a type of speech/discourse which called persuasive-argumentative) and she spoke much about unity to create strong power of America. It has created good arrangement of language that showed Hillary Clinton’s power and ideology.

Abstract

The library is the center of the gathering of various information and knowledge both in the form of books and other recording materials to meet the needs of the learning process. In addition to storing books, the library also stores final assignment documents or thesis of students who have graduated from the college. This description can usually be used as a reference material for students in preparing the final assignment. The more years the number of thesis increases so that it requires a storage space the wider. The problem that is often faced by students is that the thesis search process needed as reference material takes a long time. From these problems it is necessary to make innovations by utilizing information technology. Mobile phones are not only used to call and send messages, but cellphones also have various other functions such as internet access, audio and video player media, and so on. Android is one of the operating systems for mobile phones among the development of other mobile operating systems such as Windows Mobile, Symbian, Blackberry OS and others. In this study, we will build a repository application for an Android-based thesis search that is built by applying the Fuzzy String Matching algorithm. Fuzzy String Matching Algorithm is one of the string search methods that uses the approach process to the pattern of the string being searched for. Search for the same string and also the string that approaches the other strings collected in a container or dictionary. By utilizing the Fuzzy String Matching algorithm in the thesis search application on informatics engineering, it is expected to be able to search quickly and efficiently.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to prove that the use of Peer Interview Technique is effective todevelop the X grade students’ speaking skill at SMAN Model Terpadu Madani Palu. The methodof this research is quasi experimental research design which involved two groups of students asexperimental group and control group. The samples were selected by using purposive samplingtechnique. The samples are the students of X2 as the experimental group and X1 as the controlgroup. The instruments of this research is a test. The test was given to the samples as pretest andposttest in the form of oral test. The result of the data analysis indicates that there was a significantdifference between the result of pretest and posttest. The mean score result of experimental classsignificantly developed from 52.00 to 76.00. Meanwhile, the mean score of control classdeveloped from 52.00 to 57.00. Based on the result of the pretest and posttest, it is found that the tvalueis 8.42. By applying degree of freedom (df) 60 and 0.05 level of significance, it is found thatthe t-table is 1.967. It means that t-value (8.42) is higher than t-table (1.967). Furthermore, it clarifiesthat the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, Peer Interview Technique is effective to develop the X gradestudents’ speaking skill at SMAN Model Terpadu Madani Palu.Keyterms: Speaking Skill; Peer Interview technique
