Abstract

with visual impairment in mathematics teaching learning on a conceptual and procedural knowledge in class IX SMPLB A YKAB Surakarta. This research was a qualitative case study, investigating deeply about the interaction of the teacher and the students in order that the interaction pattern can be described in the mathematics teaching learning. The subjects of this research were a mathematics teacher and all students of class IX SMPLB A YKAB Surakarta. The data in this study were in the form of teacher and students interactions obtained from transcriptions of the teaching learning recordings during twice observations. The transcription results were the teacher and the students’ conversations that are further reduced in order to obtain certain conversation related to the teaching learning of conceptual and procedural knowledge. Furthermore, labeling speech act and speech interaction was conducted in the conversation of conceptual and procedural teaching learning. Based on the labeling, speech interaction were categorized into three, namely: 1) speech interaction that was begun with speech act of giving information (BIn), 2) speech interaction that was begun with speech act of performing information (UIn), and 3) speech interaction that was begun with speech act of stimulating information (TIn). Each of the categories was analyzed so that the subjects that are interacting can be examined. The result of the analysis became the data of teacher and students interaction. The technique used to validate the data was time triangulation done by matching the data of the teacher and the students’ interaction taken from the first observation and the data of the teacher and the students’ interaction taken from the second observation.The results of the matching process were used to describe the interaction pattern. The findings of this research were: 1) the interaction pattern of the teacher and the students with visual impairment in mathematics teaching learning on a conceptual knowledge in class IX SMPLB A YKAB Surakarta was a two-way interaction pattern with inter-students interactions.Two-way interactionwith studentteachersis dominatedby theactivities ofthe teacherto giving information (BIN) and the performing information (TIN) to the students. While theinteractionbetween studentsis dominatedbythe activities ofthe studentsto performanceinformation(UIN). 2) the interaction pattern of the teacher and the students with visual impairment in mathematics teaching learning on a procedural knowledge in class IX SMPLB A YKAB Surakarta was a multiple-way interaction pattern (optimal result). Abstract

Abstract Thinking can be drilled to the student by developing question skill during teaching process. Personal life quality is determined from question quality; the more qualified a question the more success a person in life. Therefore, this study analyzed the students question to find out the students question quality. The subject of this study is IX class of SMPLB YKAB students Surakarta. The data was found by observation with handy cam. The data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. From the data analysis was found the result that 89 questions from the students consist of 46 (51, 68 %) questions that consist of C1, 2 elements (2,25 %) questions that consist of C2, 25 elements (28,09 %) questions that consist of C4 elements. Based on the finding of the study could be conclude that majority of visual impaired students in low categorize because of having C1, C2, and C3 elements.Keywords : visual impaired students question, mathematics learning.

Abstract

Dalam rangka menghadapi persaingan ketat di era globalisasi yang serba cepat dan mudahnya penyebaran informasi, perlun adanya upaya menciptakan peradaban yang ilmiah dalam kehidupan di masyarakat. Budaya penelitian memang telah harus dikenalkan kepada para siswa sejak dini. Abstract

Mathematical communication has an important role in mathematics learning for instance, sharpening the way of thinking, improving students’ ability in observing the relevance of various mathematics concept, measuring the development of mathematics understanding, and reflecting students’mathematics comprehension. For these reasons, it is crucial to know how far students’mathematical communiation skills. Therefore, this study aims to describe mathematical communication skills of majors students STKIP MPL. Mathematical communication skills are seen through students’answer analysis in solving Calculus II problem. The research subject consists of three students who get score A, B, dan C. Based on the analysis result found that mathematical communication skills of these subjects are able to communicate mathematical ideas by using pictures and Mathematics symbols. However, they have differences ability in describing and analysing. The first subject is able to describe and analyze pictures precisely. The second subject is not able to describe pictures well, thus the pictures are difficult to understand. While the third subject is able to describe pictures well but can not analyze the picture so the problem solving method is not appropriate. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine to which stage deaf students master a variety of skills in critical thinking process. This research subject is deaf students SLB XII class Pringsewu totaling 3 students. This research was descriptive. The data collection was conducted using tests and interviews. The test method used to obtain data regarding the students critical thinking skills. The test results will then be seen consistence with the results of interviews. Valid data is coming consistent between test data with data from interviews. Based on the results of the study concluded that 66.67% of deaf students of class XII SLB Pringsewu have the critical thinking skills that is 5 Elementary Clarification (give a simple explanation), Basic Support (building basic skills), Inference (concluded), Advanced Clarification (make a further explanation), Strategic and Tactics (strategy and tactics).

Abstract

One of the external factors that influence student learning is the media that support learning activities. The media interactive learning are to support methematical learning activities on statistical subjects, including minitab. Thefore, this study aims to see whether the use of minitab has a significant influence on student learning outcomes. The population in this study were student of class XI SMAN 1 Adiluwih consisting of two classes of science and two classes of  social studies. The sample was taken throught the cluster random technique, so that two classes of science were chosen as the research it. Based on the results of data analysis,it was found that there were differences in the mean outcomes of students who use minitab.  The difference is known through a hypothesis test wich states that t test = 12.67  are in the critical area which causes H0 to be rejected. This means that the application of learning using Minitab has a different effect. This difference is seen in terms of the average learning outcomes which are the output of the learning process. Further analyzed, it turns out that the mean learning outcomes of students who use the Minitab program is better than those who do not use Minitab. This is seen from the results of the test which states that Ztest= 3.41 are in the critical area which causes H0 to be rejected so that it can be concluded that the implementation of the Minitab program is best.Keyword : Minitab, Achievement.

Abstract

One of the factors that influence student learning outcomes is the use of learning models in learning activities. Various learning models were tested by the teacher to see which learning model had the best effect on learning outcomes. Thus in this study, will see whether the mean student learning outcomes applied NHT learning model is better than the mean of student learning outcomes applied direct learning model. The populations in this study were seventh-grade students of MTs Nurul Falah. the Samplings were taken by cluster random technique. Data analysis is done by one-party and two-party t-tests. Based on the results of data analysis it was found that there were differences in the mean of student learning outcomes applied by the NHT model with them outcomes applied by the direct of learning model. The results of the analysis also showed that them outcomes applied by the NHT model were better than the mean student learning outcomes applied by the direct of learning model.

Abstract

Berdasarkan firman Allah SWT QS an Nahl ayat 14, Allah SWT telah memberikan nikmatNya berupa lautan beserta isinya agar manusia dapat bersyukur. Keragaman hayati dari laut berupa alga perlu dimanfaatkan keberadaannya. Salah satunya adalah alga coklat jenis Sargassum vulgare. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fraksi pelarut yang memberikan aktivitas antibakteri tertinggi terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli serta untuk mengidentifikasi golongan senyawa aktif yang terkandung dalam fraksi pelarut yang memberikan aktivitas antibakteri tertinggi.Alga coklat S. vulgare dimaserasi dengan metanol kemudian ekstrak metanol yang diperoleh dihidrolisis dengan katalis HCl 2 N dan dinetralkan dengan NaHCO3. Ekstrak hasil hidrolisis dipartisi dengan etil asetat, kloroform, dan petroleum eter. Lapisan organik yang diperoleh kemudian diuji aktivitas antibakterinya menggunakan metode difusi cakram terhadap bakteri S. aureus dan E. coli dengan konsentrasi ekstrak 0,5; 1; 2,5; 5; 7,5 dan 10 %. Fraksi pelarut yang memberikan aktivitas antibakteri tertinggi diidentifikasi golongan senyawanya menggunakan uji reagen (fitokimia) kemudian dipisahkan dengan kromatografi lapis tipis analitik.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fraksi pelarut yang memberikan aktivitas antibakteri tertinggi adalah etil asetat. Aktivitas antibakteri terbaik diperoleh pada konsentrasi ekstrak paling tinggi yaitu 10 % dengan zona hambat 8,5 mm terhadap bakteri S. aureus dan 6 mm terhadap bakteri E. coli. Berdasarkan uji fitokimia diketahui bahwa golongan senyawa yang terkandung dalam fraksi etil asetat adalah steroid. Berdasarkan pemisahan menggunakan KLTA diperoleh 6 spot yang merupakan golongan senyawa steroid.

Abstract

Abstrak Di tengah keprihatinan penulis terhadap bahaya zat adiktif dan psikotropika di kalangan generasi muda (siswa), penulis rnencoba untuk berperan aktif melalui upaya peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap zat adiktif dan psikotropika. Hasil penelitian di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta terhadap hasil ulangan di kelas VIII D, dari 38 siswa hanya 23,7% atau 9 siswa yang mencapai batas nilai ketuntasan yaitu 60. Sedangkan 76,3% atau 29 siswa belum tuntas pada kompetensi dasar mendeskripsikan sifat pengaruh zat adiktif dan psikotropika dalam sains. Melalui penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan pembelajaran Contectual Teaching and Learning (CTL), lebih menekankan pada pemberdayaan siswa sehingga hasil belajar bukan sebatas pengenalan nilai, akan tetapi penghayatan dan penerapan nilai-nilai dalam kehidupan nyata. Salah satu metode pembelajaran CTL yang dapat diberikan pada siswa adalah metode problem based instruction. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya peningkatan hasil belajar zat adiktif dan psikotropika dengan aplikasi pembelajaran model problem based instruction, pada siswa kelas  VIII SMP Muharnmadiyah l Surakarta. Jenis penelitian tindakan kelas yang akan mengungkap kompetensi dasar mendeskripsikan sifat dan menghindarkan diri dari pengaruh zat adiktif dan psikotropika. Pengambilan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara pustaka, dokumentasi dan tes hasil belajar. Prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas terdiri dari tiga siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari kegiatan perencanaan tindakan, observasi, refleksi dam evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, melalui metode problem based instruction, terbukti meningkatkan hasil belajar zat adiktif dan psikotropika dalam mata pelajaran sains dengan hasil pada evaluasi tiap siklus selalu meningkat. Dari ulangan awal ke evaluasi siklus III mengalami peningkatan 94,7% yaitu dari 38 siswa, 36 siswa tuntas, sedangkan 2 siswa atau 5,2% belum mencapai ketuntasan kompetensi dasar zat adiktif dan psikotropika dalam bidang kesehatan dalam mata pelajaran Sains. Tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran problem based instruction 95,2% menyatakan menarik, mudah dipahami, merupakan pembelajaran aktif, menyenangkan dan inovatif. Untuk itu disarankan kepada para guru sains kiranya dapat mengadopsi model pembelajaran problem based instruction siswa dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran materi sains lain yang memiliki karakteristik seperti materi zat adiktif dan psikotropika * Guru Sains SMP Muhammadiyah 1 SKA Kata Kunci : problem based instruction; hasil belajar; zat adiktif dan psikotropika.
