Abstract

Social media is now familiar to users of the internet in the World. The tendency of teenagers now who was gathered with friends or family will be busy with social media without any communication in the circle. The behavior that individuals were caused by the difficulty of individuals controlling themselves in playing social media and the lack of individuals in social skills. The study aims to determine the contribution of self-control and social skills to the tendency of social media addiction, especially in high school students. This research uses the quantitative method with correlational descriptive. The sample in this research is 290 students using purposive sampling. The research instrument uses self-control instruments, social skills and social media addiction tendency using polytomy data with a Likert scale model. The results showed that there was a significant contribution between self-control and social skills to the tendency of social media addiction to students. The level of significance of self-control contributions and social skills to the tendency of social media addiction is at a moderate level.

Abstract

The background of this research was there are many of students who have low achievement motivation. Peer and parental support are two factor that allegedly influence it. Aims of this research to describe the correlation of peer and parental support with achievement motivation. This research used quantitative approach with descriptive-correlational method. The population of this research consists 723 and samples 196 students. The instrument used questionnaire with likert scale model and the reliability test of peer support instrument at 0.864, parental support at 0.903 and achievement motivation at 0,939. The data were analyzed using multiple regression. The results shows that the peer and parental support, and the achievement motivation were in high category. There are correlation (15.9%) of the peer and parental support with achievement motivation. The Implication of the research results can be used as an analysis of the needs of students in setting counseling service program at school.

Abstract

The various experiences of people with visual disability about guidance and counseling in Bina Netra Social House “Tuah Sakato” Padang caused kinds of perceptions. The research were to describe the perception of low vision and total blindness and also the distinct perception about guidance counseling in self concept development. The type of the research was comparative descriptive. By using purposivesampling method, about 30 of them were chosen to be the sample. The instruments used was Guidance and Counseling Perception Scale (GCPS) which was read by the researcher. Data of the research was analyzed by using Mann-Whitney U Test. The result of the research shows there is no significant differenceperception between people with low vision and total blindness. It means both of them have good perception about guidance and counseling in self concept development.

Abstract

Pendidikan mempunyai peranan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia. SMA 1 Bukittinggi merupakan sekolah RSBI dimana dalam proses pembelajaran harus menyelaraskan dengan misi kota Bukittinggi yaitu pendidikan berbasiskan akidah. Dalam pelaksanaannya pembelajaran fisika diperlukan pendekatan, metoda dan model yang terintegrasi. Setelah semua kelas telah menjadi RSBI pada tahun 2010, mulai muncul permasalahan dalam pembelajaran diantaranya menurunnya aktivitas dan hasil belajar, disamping teramati adanya penurunan dibidang akhlak. sehingga dipilih model Quantum Teaching berbasis ikhlas sebagai metode dalam mencari solusi untuk memecahkan masalah dalam pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Clasroom Action Research), yaitu perpaduan antara tindakan (action) dan penelitian (research) suatu bentuk penelitian yang dilakukan oleh guru untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran. Penelitian dibagi dalam empat tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan (planning), tindakan (action), observasi (observation) dan tahap refleksi (reflection), Keempat tahap dalam penelitian tindakan tersebut membentuk sebuah siklus, yaitu satu putaran kegiatan yang kembali kebentuk asal. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus yang diterapkan pada kelas X 8 SMA 1 Bukittinggi. Model pembelajaran diterapkan dalam bentuk sillabus, RPP, Hand out, student worksheet, angket dalam rangka melihat peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran quantum teaching berbasis ikhlas berhasil meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa baik kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor. Perangkat divalidasi oleh pakar dan teman sejawat dan tindakan diobservasi oleh observer serta angket ikhlas oleh siswa menggambarkan kenyamanan dalam belajar.   Keywords: Quantum Teaching, RPP, Hand Out, Student worksheet

Abstract

the social relationship ability can be defined as a person capability to speak (communication ability), to express his or her feeling or problems faced and to figure out the solution adaptively. This research was designed for describing the students’ ability to build social relationship viewed from sex and cultural background. This was a descriptive comparative research which applied quantitative approach. This research was conducted to the students at SMAN 01, SMAN 05, and SMAN 07 Kab. Mukomuko. The number of the population was 442 student. By using purposive sampling technique, 210 of them were taken as the sample. The instrument of the research was a questionnaire of Likert scale whose reliability was 0,958. The result of the research indicated that: 1) the ability of both male and female students in building social relationship was high, 2) the ability of the students having both majority and minority cultural background in building social relationship was high, 3) there was a significant difference between the in building social relationship of the male and the female students, 4) there was a significant difference between the in building social relationship of the students having majority and minority cultural background.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the development of physiological aspects of increasing aerobic and anaerobic performance in students who become badminton athletes through optimizing footwork exercises using the high-intensity interval method (HITT). This research will provide a solution for trainers in combining and optimizing footwork exercises as a technique in badminton combined with the principles of interval training to increase badminton athletes' aerobic and anaerobic capacity. This study used an experimental approach by giving footwork training treatment (HITT) to 30 Padang State University students who became badminton athletes. Researchers saw the effect of the exercise given on aerobic capacity (VO2max) and anaerobic capacity. The statistical analysis results showed that footwork exercise with The HIIT (High High-Intensity Interval Training) method positively affects badminton athletes' maximal aerobic capacity (VO2max) anaerobic capacity. In this concept, footwork training using the HIIT method effectively develops aerobic and anaerobic metabolism in response to energy requirements during total energy production in training maximum.

Abstract

Olahraga telah menjadi bagian hidup masyarakat dunia dan menjadi budaya, serta profesi. Olahraga telah berubah dari kebutuhan sekunder menjadi kebutuhan primer. Populasi pelaku olahraga telah merambah kepada semua tingkatan usia. Olahraga telah masuk ke area politik, ekonomi dan pariwisata. Kondisi demikian tidak terlepas dari dampak perbaikan pendidikan dan perbaikan ekonomi masyarakat. Peningkatan dan perluasan pendidikan, telah membuka cakrawala berpikir masyarakat akan manfaat dan pentingnya olahraga bagi individu dan masyarakat. Perbaikan ekonomi masyarakat, mengakibatkan daya beli/daya bayar masyarakat terhadap pilihan dan kebutuhan perlatan olahraga semakin meningkat. Peran media massa, terutama media elektronik, telah berperan dalam memberikan akselerasi terhadap perkembangan tersebut. Media massa telah menyebarluaskan dan memobilisasi berbagai informasi tentang olahraga. Perkembangan olahraga sebagaimana yang dikemukakan di atas, telah menyebabkan terjadinya pergeseran paradigma terhadap pembangunan dan pengembangan olahraga. Olahraga tidak lagi hanya merupakan aktifitas untuk pemeliharaan kesehatan bahkan bagi negara maju olahraga menjadi salah satu kekuatan ekonomi mereka. Amerika Serikat, Cina, Inggris, Perancis, Jerman, Korea Selatan, merupakan beberapa negara yang telah mengubah paradigma pembangunan dan pengembangan olahraga menuju suatu kekuatan ekonomi.

Abstract

The low self-identity of students causes aggressive behavior. The phenomenon of aggressive behavior is the act of attacking others directly or indirectly to hurt others both physically and psychologically. Aggressiveness among adolescents is increasing from year to year, based on data released by the Central Statistics Agency, in 2007 it was recorded that 3145 adolescents aged ? 18 years of age became criminals and continued to increase to 3280 in 2007, and 4123 in 2008. Self-identity is one of the factors that influence the emergence of aggressive behavior. The purpose of this study is to describe the self-identity of students at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang City. This research uses descriptive analysis. The sample of this study was 114 students who were taken using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was "Self-identity scale in preventing aggressiveness" with a reliability value of 0.881. The results showed that: (1) the aspect of Identity diffusion was in the medium category with a percentage of 67%; (2) Identity foreclosure aspects are in the medium category with a percentage of 39%; (3) the Identity aspect of the moratorium is in the low category with a percentage of 45%; and (4) Identity achievement is in the low category with a percentage of 41.2%. The results of the study generally show that the students' self-identity is in the medium category with a percentage of 71.1% and it needs to be improved in order to prevent aggressive behavior.

Abstract

Drug abuse one of the problems that have swept the world and become a frightening problem for the society and Indonesian. Students become one of the targets of drug abuse. Drug abuse occurs during adolescence because adolescents have rapid biological, psychological, and social changes that cause vulnerable individuals to get involved in drug abuse. The cause of drug abuse among adolescents was due to the low attitude of students in addressing the occurrence of drug abuse. The population of this research was the students of SMK in Padang. There were 124 students as the sample of this research. The sampling technique used was a purposive random sampling and the data collection tools used student` attitude instruments used students' attitude instruments in drug abuse with a Likert scale model, with Alpha Cronbach reliability of r=0,991. The data were analyzed by using the descriptive statistical methods with the data processing using SPSS version 22. The results revealed that the students’ attitudes in drug abuse were in the middle category (54.2%). Clearly, the affective component was in the middle category (2.69%); the behavioral component was in the middle category (2.91%); the cognitive component was in the low category (2.47%).

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah menurunnya prestasi dari tahun ke tahun Pemain U-15 SSB Balai Baru Kota Padang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau Kemampuan Teknik Dasar Pemain U-15 SSB Balai Baru Kota Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan populasi seluruh Pemain U-15 SSB Balai Baru Kota Padang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara total sampling, jumlah sampel sebanyak 21 orang dengan kelompok umur 15 tahun (U-15). Pengambilan data dengan melakukan teskemampuan teknik dasar sepakbola dengan Instrumen yang digunakan tes kemampuan teknik shooting, kemampuan teknik dribbling, kemampuan teknikshortpass, dan kemampuan teknik heading.Berdasarkan hasil tinjauan data, diperoleh hasil penelitian sebagai berikut : 1) Kemampuan teknik shooting, kategori baik sekali, 2) Kemampuan teknik dribbling kategori baik, 3) Kemampuan teknik short pass, kategori kurang, 4) Kemampuan teknik heading, kategori kurang
