Abstract

The use of renewable energy as a source of electrical energyincreases every year. Unfortunately, Indonesia does not have manypower plants that utilize renewable energy sources. The mostpotential renewable energy in Indonesia is the sunlight with the helpof solar panels that converts solar energy into electrical energy.However, the environment could affect the solar panel module andin turn, affect the performance of solar panels or the generatedelectric energy. This research calculated the performance of solarpanels with a single-diode model using the Five Parameters methodthat required solar panel module specification data, the totalradiation absorbed by the solar panel module, and the temperatureof the environment. The Five Parameters method is a methodmodeled after solar panel module performance in the form of thesingle-diode equivalent circuit. The Five Parameters method isreliable in predicting the energy produced by the solar panels whenthe input data is limited. The results for using the Five Parametersin monocrystalline solar panels were Isc = 1.827 A, Imp = 0.662 A,Voc = 18.221 V, Vmp = 15.019 V, Pmp = 9.955 W. And the results inpolycrystalline solar panels were Isc = 1.926 A, Imp = 0.686 A, Voc =17.594 V, Vmp = 14.166 V, Pmp = 9.722 W. Based on the results; itwas concluded that the most efficient and optimised types of solarpanels on natural conditions in Sendang Biru Beach was themonocrystalline solar panel because it produced electrical outputpower of 9.955 W. Therefore, there could be a manufacturer ofsolar energy power plants to reduce the cost of electricity in thecoastal area, such as in Sendang Biru Beach.

Abstract

Abstrak:Dalam studi ini, MPPT digunakan untuk mendapatkan output daya maksimum panel surya. Selain itu, ada rangkaian konverter buck-boost yang digunakan untuk mengatur tegangan output panel surya untuk pompa air. Buck-Boost Converter dalam sistem ini menggunakan algoritma P&O untuk mendapatkan duty cycle yang diinginkan. Sistem yang diusulkan telah diuji menggunakan simulasi Matlab / Simulink dan juga percobaan pompa air tenaga surya. Setelah pengujian, PV dapat mencapai nilai maksimum dengan iradiasi yang berbeda. Selain itu, tegangan output pada konverter dapat mengisi baterai. Sistem ini dapat menjadi solusi untuk ketersediaan air bersih di daerah terpencil yang masih belum terjangkau listrik.Abstract:In this study, MPPT is used to get the maximum power output of solar panels. In addition, there is a buck-boost converter circuit that is used to regulate the output voltage of solar panels for water pumps. Buck-Boost Converter in this system uses the P&O algorithm to get the desired duty cycle. The proposed system has been tested using a Matlab / Simulink simulation and also a solar water pump experiment. After testing, PV can reach its maximum value with different irradiations. In addition, the output voltage on the converter can charge the battery. This system can be a solution for the availability of clean water in remote areas that are not yet affordable by electricity.

Abstract

Coffee is one of the leading export commodities in Indonesia besides palm oil, cocoa and rubber. The quality of Indonesian coffee is among the best in the world, thus placing Indonesia in the top ten producers and exporters of the world. Coffee production continues to increase every year, accompanied by an increase in processed coffee-based products. Among the innovative creations of coffee products are UMKM Sejahtera Sentosa with their coffee jam products. This product received a good response and became the superior product of Malang Municipality. These MSMEs experienced difficulties in the production process when developing jam packaging in the form of sachets and bottles. The community service activity of the State University of Malang helped overcome this difficulty by developing a jam filling device for sachets and bottles. The filling device works semi-automatically with electronic control. The tools developed have been tested and can function according to the needs of industrial partners. UMKM owners and employees expressed their satisfaction with the tools developed and hope to work together again in the next service activity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya hasil belajar siswa dalam pelajaran sistem kontrol elektromekanis dan elektronik. Dalam hal ini, peneliti mengungkapkan perbedaan antara model pembelajaran ECIRR berbantuan software EKTS dan model pembelajaran PBL berbantuan software EKTS untuk menentukan hasil belajar dari sistem kontrol elektromekanis dan elektronik di kelas XI TOI SMK PGRI Singosari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi-eksperimental (Quasi-Experimental Design) dengan pola Desain Kelompok Kontrol Non-Equivalent. Subjek penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas XI TOI SMK PGRI Singosari. Objeknya adalah siswa kelas XI TOI 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen A dan siswa kelas XI TOI 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen B dengan jumlah 39 dan 37.Dalam penelitian ini, data dari hasil belajar diperoleh melalui skor posttest yang dianalisis dengan bantuan software analisis statistika yaitu SPSS 21 untuk Windows. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa nilai rata – rata kelas yang menerapkan model ECIRR berbantuan software EKTS pada aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan mendapatkan 84 dan 84.24, sedangkan kelas yang menerapkan model PBL berbantuan software EKTS pada aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan mendapatkan 79 dan 82.4. Hal ini menyatakan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara kedua kelas yang telah diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sistem kendali berbasis fuzzy untuk mengatur pemakaian daya listrik pada pompa air bertenaga surya. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk memperbaiki atau meningkatkan efisiensi energi listrik yang dipakai oleh motor pompa air satu fasa. Selama ini, efisiensi energi pada aplikasi pompa air bertenaga surya sangat rendah, hanya mencapai 40%. Metode sensorless-fuzzy menggunakan pendekatan heuristik berdasarkan pengalaman dan optimasi performa melalui pemodelan. Rekayasa ini sangat potensial untuk mengendali suplai atau pemakaian energi listrik oleh mesin pompa air secara lebih efisien. Sistem ini dapat direalisasikan dengan menggunakan mikrokontroler, sehingga lebih ekonomis dan cocok untuk daerah pedesaan. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan. Beberapa penelitian pendahuluan telah dilakukan sejak tahun 2009 dalam rangka mencapai target akhir penelitian ini. Proses penelitian ini dibagi menjadi dua fase. Fase 1 (sudah selesai dilaksanakan) bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat sensorless-fuzzy untuk kendali motor pompa air satu fasa. Fase 1 dibagi menjadi 7 tahapan, yaitu: observasi prilaku motor pompa air, desain algoritma sensorless-fuzzy, desain alat, pembuatan alat, ujicoba performa alat (skala laboratorium), dan implementasi lapangan dan analisis data. Pada penelitian tahap tahun pertama ini menghasilkan sebuah prototipe pengendali pompa air DC menggunakan algoritma sensorless. Prototipe yang dihasilkan cukup stabil dalam mengatur putaran motor dengan menghasilkan error 1.2 % yang lebih kecil nilainya dari nilai error yang ditargetkan (5-7 %). Dari hasil pengukuran dapat dilihat bahwa output rpm  akan melakukan tuning sehingga mencapai setpoint 1500, namun tegangan motor akan berubah ubah. ini dikarenakan untuk membuat putaran motor sesuai yang diinginkan, maka logika fuzzy mengolah data tersebut, kemudian secara otomatis menaikkan atau menurunkan tegangan (dalam hal ini PWM diubah-ubah) motor untuk mencapai set point yang diinginkan.

Abstract

This paper presents the development of Smartphone app for monitoring the heart rate, which used as a tool for life-based learning. The app featured life-based experiments for undergraduates' students through do-it-by-your-self activities. This app was developed with Firebase to create a heart rate monitoring system interface as well as a framework for life-based experiments. Also, this app had video features as learning resources. We used an experimental method to evaluate the proposed system of learning. The subjects were 30 undergraduate students who were separated into two groups. Based on our survey, student learning outcomes increased by 35 percent compared to conventional experiments.

Abstract

TPQ El Mu'jizah Malang memiliki lahan sub optimal yang mencapai 2/3 dari total lahan yang dimiliki. Upaya untuk mengubah lahan sub optimal cukup banyak, diantaranya: membuat kantin/swalayan, koperasi atau bangunan khusus lainnya. Tetapi, pengelola TPQ lebih tertarik untuk mengembangkan usaha di bidang perikanan ataupun pertanian mengingat konsumsi ikan nasional terus meningkat setiap tahun. Oleh karena itu, tim pengabdian masyarakat dari Universitas Negeri Malang mengusulkan pemanfaatan lahan non produktik melalui penerapan akuaponik modern menggunakan konsep Internet of Things. Akuaponik modern yang diterapkan mendukung pemantauan ekosistem melalui aplikasi smartphone sehingga mampu memberikan hasil panen yang lebih maksimal. Akuaponik juga dilengkapi dengan panel surya sehingga tidak membebani konsumsi listrik TPQ. Pada pengabdian ini dilakukan penyuluhan berkala kepada masyarakat dan siswa-siswi TPQ. Berdasarkan hasil survei, masyarakat sangat antusias dengan adanya kegiatan pengabdian ini. Sebagian besar masyarakat menginginkan kegiatan tidak lanjut untuk meningkatkan kesadaran mengenai pentingnya pemanfaatan lahan non produktif sebagai sarana berwirausaha.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have attracted a lot of attention from the research community and industry in recent years. WSNs maintenance associated with battery replacement can increase system operating costs, especially for wireless sensor networks located in hard-to-reach and dangerous places. In this study, an adaptive Medium Access Control (MAC) is proposed that can regulate the period of data acquisition and transmission. In contrast to conventional MAC, the applied adaptive MAC regulates the data transmission period based on the estimated energy use in the previous cycle. This study focuses on comparing energy efficiency between conventional and adaptive MAC. Energy usage information is retrieved directly on the sensor node. In star topology, the proposed MAC can increase the lifetime of the sensor network up to 6.67% in a star topology. In the hierarchical topology, the proposed MAC can increase network energy efficiency up to 9.17%. The resulting increase in network throughput is 17.73% for the Star network and 33.81% for the Hierarchy network. The star topology without implementing adaptive MAC has the lowest throughput of 0.188 kb/s. The highest throughput is achieved by a hierarchical topology that applies MAC with a throughput of 2.157 kb/s.

Abstract

This paper presents a harmonic analyzer that used IoT and smart apps for low-cost and portable solutions. We contribute a short review of harmonics measurement methods and experimental approaches for monitoring harmonics using an IoT-based system. The proposed device was built from a current sensor, a voltage sensor, and a microcontroller with an IoT transmitter which is integrated with Matlab© cloud and smart apps (android). In specific, we experimented with testing and validated our proposal using the standard instrument under a fair treatment. The measurement scenario was taken on the point of comment coupling in the building campus for 5 to 10 minutes of each comparable instrument. Based on experimental results, the proposed device could monitor the harmonics profile drawn by the loads in the building campus. The trade-off between cost and performance is founded as the truth that it takes about 1 minute to update the harmonics data. Furthermore, the average error of THDV is 5.7%, and THDI is 4.7% which is higher than the expensive instrument. These values are acceptable based on IEEE standards.  Besides, it could monitor harmonics in real-time through an android application which is easy to use and portable. In addition, the cost of making the proposed device is cheap compared to the price of the standard instruments in the market.

Abstract

The challenges of the future of education are increasingly complex. The position of educators in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 tends to be a facilitator who provides the latest information regarding the development of science. Merdeka Learning is an independent and versatile higher education learning model designed to create an unrestricted creative learning community. This development research resulted in teaching material in the form of learning modules and videos for the Operations and System Stability course. The process of developing modules/teaching materials uses the ADDIE development model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluating. The teaching materials developed are suitable for students to use based on the results of the formative test data and the Likert scale with 86%-100% being very good criteria. In the one-on-one trial, the percentage of expert eligibility was 94.5% for digital modules, and 92% for learning videos. In a small group trial taken from 7 TE 2017 and TE 2018 students, the percentage of eligibility results was 94% for digital modules, and 94.5% for learning videos. Meanwhile, in the field trials taken from 76 students of TE 2017 and TE 2018 the results of the feasibility percentage were 91% for digital modules and 90% for learning videos.
