Abstract

Lanang Weir located at Penawangan District in Grobogan Regency, which has Non-Groundwater Basin Area hydrogeological characteristic. The river’s flow mostly come from interflow discharge beside from the groundwater flow. Soil layer which is able to store the water was Vadose or root zone only, so with this condition will prone to drought and flood when it precipitations just become runoff. Lanang Weir is a fixed weir, which will be built on Lanang River and the catchment area is 116.81 km2. This weir is watering 1,900 ha rice field area and designed with 50 years of return period of inflow discharge valued 548.08 m3/second and intake discharge valued 2.18 m3/second. Lanang Weir is design with specification rounded type of crest with height of 3,9 m, USBR type IV of stilling basin, equipped with sand trap, flushing way of sand trap, flushing gate, intake gate, and retaining wall. Construction of the Lanang Weir costs is around Rp 14 billion and scheduled for 28 weeks.

Abstract

As Jakarta developed into a metropolitan city, flood problems become the center of attention for its citizens and the government of Jakarta. Ciliwung River is one of the significant contributors to flood discharge in Jakarta. Flood control in Jakarta area requires a very hard effort, considering the geological conditions which is an area of the basin and hydrological conditions are very vulnerable to inundation because bypassed by many rivers from upstream. Changes in land use that was once empty land converted to settlements, housing, and the building also has occurred both in the upstream and downstream along the rivers that pass through Jakarta. After an evaluation of watershed and watershed Krukut Sunter which is around Ciliwung watershed, it was found that there were streams of the watershed around the exit and entry into the Ciliwung watershed. These rivers flood contributed by ± 25% of the Ciliwung watershed resulting in widespread inundation in Jakarta increases. One of the efforts to control flooding in Jakarta is the construction of weirs Katulampa which serves as an early information system to flooding Ciliwung will enter Jakarta. From the evaluation of the function obtained Katulampa weir water level to Alert 1 is 200-250 cm to estimate flood discharge using HEC-HMS at 733 m3 / s. Data on the water level in the dam Katulampa estimates that approximately 9-10 hours later flood will arrive in Jakarta. The ability of the dam to divert water when it reaches Alert 1 of 7% of the flood discharge through the doors retrieval. In order to optimize the function of the weir and re-plan the weir, the initial step is the hydrological analysis with the result that be discovered gauge the dependable discharge, needs water discharge and flood discharge. In the Katulampa weir planning dependable discharge used is the discharge with probability 80%. Water needs value to fulfill the irrigation water requirement is 1.87 liters / sec / ha or water needs discharge for water irrigation is 6.03 m3 / sec. Flood discharge by the method of HEC-HMS for the return period of 25 years at 733.90 m3 / sec is used as the basis to design the main building weirs. Katulampa weir using high lighthouse beacon round with effective width of 2.5 m and 95.43 m. Bags of mud along the channel with a width of 62.5 m at 4.75 m channel basis. Katulampa weir construction planned at a cost of ±4,193,000,000.00 billion rupiah, and planned implementation time ± 168 working days.

Abstract

Simpang Lima area of Semarang is administration region, education residence, service, and industry which are constructed in the center of Semarang sub district. Center Semarang region is an area where is topographically flat. Industry development, trade, and rapid growth people bring Simpang Lima are of Semarang as the prominent center growth of Semarang city. In addition flood happened in region of Simpang Lima area of Semarang is caused by the lack of drainage performance, high sedimentation, and not yet maximum in flood control using provision of water pumps. There are some scenarios to solve that proble,. the first scenario is by fixing the channels in Simpang Lima are of Semarang in order to increase the capacity of channel flow. This way includes widening the channel, fixing the slope of bottom channel, and scanting the discourtesy of channel flow wall. Second scenario is by making new channel in Simpang Lima cycle, because of the difficult to rehabilitate the existing channel which locates under sidewalk of Simpang Lima cycle, so taken solution to make new channel. The new channel locates under the road of Simpang Lima cycle and uses closed channel type. The third scenario is by maximizing the capacity in Kartini Pump Station. Hope by maximizing the capacity of pump may fasten the process of water disposal from Kampung Kali River to Banjir Kanal Timur River and reduce water level in Simpang Lima area of Semarang drainage channel downstream section.
