Abstract

This article aims to find out design research and explore the potential for developing local culture-based learning methods for elementary school students in Kebumen district. This paper describes the concept of ethnomathematics-based design research at SD N Tambaksari, Kebumen Regency, Central Java in improving literacy and numeracy skills. Literacy and numeracy skills are indicators that need to be strengthened. The basic research design used is a research design that describes learning activities using local culture-based learning media or games with corn plants. The media used is by using food culture in the form of corn with abundant availability. The use of corn seeds is used by 2nd grade students of SD N Tambaksari to learn arithmetic operations. There are two aspects to be considered in this activity, namely literacy and numeracy. At the time of learning students are also invited to observe learning videos about arithmetic operations for further Based on these activities students are more active in participating in learning. Learning based on local food culture that can be applied in campus teaching programs to strengthen the literacy and numeracy aspects of students. Abstract

The development of instructional videos for an introductory course on algebraic structures aims to improve student understanding with different learning methods. Students produce videos containing algebraic structure material, they have mastered the concept correctly. Through the preparation of making instructional videos, students are motivated to increase their knowledge regarding algebraic structure material. The method used in this research is development research that describes student learning outcomes in mastering the concept of algebraic structures. The results showed that students who could explain the algebraic structure material in the video well showed a good understanding of algebraic material. In making videos, students are motivated to present interesting work and also the concept of correct algebraic structures. Students learn from various reading sources to present the correct algebraic concepts in the form of learning videos. The content of the learning videos contains concepts and practice questions. The conclusion that can be obtained in this study is that the development of instructional videos carried out by students can help students understand the algebraic structure material, because it contains cooperative learning methods.

Abstract

Pengantar probabilitas merupakan disiplin ilmu yang mempunyai sifat khas dibandingkan dengan disiplin ilmu-ilmunya. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan belajar dan mengajarnya diperlukan suatu metode yang tepat, mengingat setiap mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan yang berbeda.Pengantar probabilitas timbul karena pikiran-pikiran manusia yang berhubungan dengan ide, proses dan penalaran. Pembelajaran pada materi tersebut masih menggunakan metode ekspositori. Di dalam penelitian ini, akan digunakan metode Brainstorming berbasis Assessment For Learning. Dalam pelaksanaannnya metode Brainstorming memerlukan kemampuan berfikir kritis yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kritis mahasiswa dalam mata kuliah pengantar probabilitas dengan metode Brainstorming berbasis Assessment For Learning. Penelitian ini didesaian agar penerapan metode pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan metode Brainstorming berbasis Assessment For Learning, dapat di praktekkan pada saat mahasiswa Praktek Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL). Selain itu, dapat digunakan sebagai literatur dalam mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran dengan metode yang lain dan matakuliah yang lain.
